A decade-long study of 88,000 people and 13 million hours of light data reveals that circadian disruption from artificial light may be silently shortening lifespans.
What an excellent report Nicholas! All of it is relevant to me... and I find myself in total agreement with the report, from personal experience. Having lived where it is light until 11:00 P.M. and light at 4:00 A.M. is exhausting, while some relief is found when living where light and dark are equally divided... it makes a huge difference in perceived wellness. Conversely, dark, overcast days are brutal to the soul, as are bright nights. I have had much experience in my Professional career with shift work, and the disruption of Circadian cycles. I have to say I rather enjoy the truth you bring Nicholas, and that of your colleagues. Truth is now becoming the 'new' transactional currency, in this 'post covid fraud' era. Well done Nicholas.
ethics no principles, no real government ,prepare accordingly on your own for survival on your own terms !!" The genocidal murderous path of many NOW leads to the suicidal highway for the perpetrators !!
Thanks Nicolas for giving me food for thought about the need for obtaining more daytime light getting outdoors. I am guilty of spending too much time on my laptop during the day...but when I go to sleep there is total darkness for 7 - 8 hours. No electronic gadgets in my bedroom. I sleep well.
The color if light also makes a difference. Switching from incandescent to LED and fluorescent lights switched light from more red to more blue. Blue light in the evening and night messes up your circadian rhythm. I'm switching a bunch of our lights back to incandescent.
Yes, and I’d previously replaced most of my lightbulbs with warm LEDs, but I saw a video where a person actually measured the spectrum of light coming out of different kinds of bulbs and the LED, warm white bulbs still had a decent blue spike in them. They are much better than the cool white LEDs, but incandescents are better for your health. I am putting incandescents in the bedrooms and in the room we hang out in the evening. Other lightbulbs will probably stay the warm LEDs because they are cheaper to buy and cheaper to run.
This is interesting. Before electricity, humans would normally go to bed shortly after sunset and wake up ar midnight for a couple of very productive hours and then back to bed and wake up at sunrise. Nevertheless, they only had dim light such as candles during or gas lamps during that time. Sleeping from midnight to six am is a post electricity phenomenon and not part of circadian rhythm.
These are institutional red herrings, there should be no room for these "cover-ups." It's clear that instead of studying and sharing knowledge on the most notorious crime committed by government institutions, secondary "work" is being produced to show that it's being studied for the good of all. I repeat, Nicolas, these are even obvious truths, but they have nothing in common with the severity and impact of vaccines or the viruses that have spread and that have permanently damaged us. This is entertainment worthy of the most vulgar state television.
Thanks for this important post! Just wonder, why melatonin, produced in nighttime in the pineal gland and other body parts (gut.., maybe bugs need a sleep too;)), the a hormone that regulates sleep patterns and circadian rhythms (TIME DEPENDENCY of healing processes).. So this production is LIGHT dependent, the more light at night, the less melatonin.. Strangely it became part of some 'covid' protocols to supplement with it, lot of it. There is no LD50 limit on its consumption...

Both early morning and sunset walks or other outside activity help synchronize circadian rhythms and stimulate mitochondrial health.
Vitamin-D is important, but it is not just vitamin-D making these long term health differences.

LED lamps can operate at 3400K, toward red, warm light. Choose them.

Despite their inefficiencies incandescent lighting has a place. Still have a few bulbs but not likely to get more.
Doubt much blue from most warm light LEDs. But really blue LEDs are horribly bright to me. Not as easy to make I’m told.
Where have you found incandescent lights to buy as I can't find them anywhere?
I actually found incandescent lights on Amazon. They are more expensive where they used to be cheaper.
Is it possible to reclaim the natural, biological human in today's increasingly artificial world? If not, where is humanity headed?
Or it could be 78 million other things. What about winter? More clouds, less sunlight and darker longer.
What can be done when part of your career involves spontaneous interruption of sleep, being thrust into high-stress situations (firefighter/EMS)?
