Thank god theres a man prepared to stand up against islamisAtion of the west. Our woke pm cant even bring himself to proscribe the biggest terrorist funding government in the world , even denying USA the use of our military bases. Hepreferred instead to host a Ramadan gathering in Westminster hall and call the 6% uk muslim population the face of modern Britain. We need a Trump before Britain joins the list of once Great nations.
If you haven't learned by now that these regime-change wars are the principal drivers of Muslim immigration into the west, I don't know if you ever will. This attack on Iran, and the total destabilisation of West Asia that it will lead to, will drive more waves of refugees onto your shores than you can possibly imagine. Invade the world, invite the world.
By the way, it's not Iran that is the largest funder of terrorism in the world. As Larry Johnson points out (https://sonar21.com/the-big-lie-about-irans-support-for-terrorism/), roughly 90% of terrorist attacks are carried out by Sunni extremist groups including Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the Al Qaeda spin-off led by the head-chopping terrorist Abu Mohammad al-Jolani whom Donald Trump welcomed into the White House last November. Trump sure does love Muslim terrorists, as long as they're helping to achieve the policy objectives of the ruling cabal.
I guess your expectation Robyn here is that the majority of Americans know the difference between north and south.. This is not the case.. (from Johannesburg)
this is not regime change, have you watched since january the populace of Iran in all their cities and many towns out in the streets calling for the death of the Ayatolla and the return of Reza Pahlavi. His coalition of the many tribes is calling him to lead a transition government which has pledged a referendum to the people to decide the form of government. As Britian and America in Carter's time brought in the religious fanatics it is about time they assisted the removal of same considering they brought nothing but torture and terror to Iranians over 47 years. I am sure and aware of the presence of other terror groups but non apart from russian and pakistani sponsored anywhere near have their finger poised above that 60% enriched uranium due to be converted to 10 bombs - if they already had them we would all be toast by now.
the Iranians will not be leaving their country , millions round the world are lined up to go home. Sadly for us 2 tier Kier has not yet proscribed the IRGC our parliamentarians are too lilly livered and worried about their salaries to call a vote of no confidence in his ability to perceive the threat of IRGC and act on it . IRGC have a huge headquarters in Maidavale in London - where they expound the virtues of becoming a martyr by killing the infidels who inhabit our country by birth. At the moment Britian is one of very few who are not rounding up IRGC member. We should all be asking WHY is a bastion of Free speech and Democracy who gave the parliamentary system to so many parts of the world, failing us all now.?
"We should all be asking WHY is a bastion of Free speech and Democracy who gave the parliamentary system to so many parts of the world, failing us all now.?" Because your government has sold you out to the same cabal that is running this op in Iran. Isn't it obvious?
"I am sure and aware of the presence of other terror groups but non apart from russian and pakistani sponsored anywhere near have their finger poised above that 60% enriched uranium due to be converted to 10 bombs - if they already had them we would all be toast by now." I'm not sure what the poorly-expressed first part of your sentence means, but the notion that Iran is on the verge of developing 10 nuclear bombs is beyond farcical. You really need better information sources than the slop you're obviously consuming.
"As Britian and America in Carter's time brought in the religious fanatics it is about time they assisted the removal of same considering they brought nothing but torture and terror to Iranians over 47 years." You're conveniently forgetting the "torture and terror" they brought to Iranians over the 38 years of the Shah's rule, when the dreaded Savak terrorised, arrested, tortured and executed dissidents by the thousands.
"have you watched since january the populace of Iran in all their cities and many towns out in the streets calling for the death of the Ayatolla and the return of Reza Pahlavi." The protests began in December, not January. These protests were initiated by Tehran shopkeepers over the hyperinflation triggered by the collapse of the rial against the $US, which was in turn largely a consequence of US sanctions. These peaceful protests, which were NOT calling for the downfall of the ruling regime, were then hijacked by heavily-armed Mossad-backed infiltrators who proceeded to murder policeman and burn down mosques. The Jerusalem Post wrote about this: https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/iran-news/article-883524. 'On December 29, what is dubbed the Mossad X/Twitter account in Farsi encouraged Iranians to protest against the Iranian regime, telling them that it is literally physically with them at the demonstrations. “Go out together into the streets. The time has come,” the Mossad wrote. “We are with you,” it added. “Not only from a distance and verbally. We are with you in the field.”'
Former CIA Director Mike Pompeo also openly acknowledged the presence of Mossad agents inciting violence, tweeing "Happy New Year to every Iranian in the streets. Also to every Mossad agent walking beside them..." https://x.com/mikepompeo/status/2007180411638620659.
The assault of Britain's little girls by Moose Limb savages is disgusting. Even more disgusting is the British government's apparent support of those vile acts.
Starmer and his band of incompetents is scared witless of antagonizing the excitable mohammedans, who are capable of inflicting far more damage than the native population. One of their weapons is imposing fear by intimidation, a typical bullying tactic.
even now that a so called public inquiry has been finally actioned, the terms of reference are an excercise in obfuscation and denial of any chairmans rights to pass relevant information to the Police. staggering abuse of govt power look at groominggangjusticedotuk typed out the . in case of bots or whatever stops these things. learn something everyday, good phrase there Moose Limb thought it might be some new illness.
Not claiming an attack on Iran was the best thing to do (I don't personally know but check out Marco Rubios comments as of 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfCssrZi1pA)
In reality Trump has the authority to utilize the military for 60 days - has nothing to do with eviscerating congress. John, I love your writing and regularly agree with your viewpoints. But your disconnect with legal reality is not helpful in this case.
The War Powers Resolution requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30-day withdrawal period, without congressional authorization for use of military force (AUMF) or a declaration of war by the United States. The resolution was passed by two-thirds each of the House and Senate, overriding the veto of President Richard Nixon.
Article VI, section 2 of the Constitution, commonly known as the Supremacy Clause, clearly states any law not in accordance with the Constitution is notwithstanding (stand down!) The law you cite is unconstitutional, illegal. It clearly lessens the duty of the President to seek a declaration of war for defense purposes. The Preamble to the Constitution states several purposes for the Constitution. One of those purposes is to provide for the common DEFENSE. This and past administrations have placed our citizens, particularly our military, in harms way. This has been used as a pretense to claim Iran has attacked us. Why do we still have troops in foreign countries, particularly in the Middle East? Whose actual interests and purpose do they serve? MAGA is impossible without a return to the foundational principles written in our constitution.
Jack, you have it backwards - The war powers act was written and forcefully passed by congress in order to limit presidential war authority. It has been the presidents that claim that the war powers act is unconstitutional, because it limits their authority to wage war.
Article VI, Section 2 — The Supremacy Clause
Supremacy Clause
The clause says:
“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof, and all Treaties made… shall be the supreme Law of the Land.”
Key phrase: “made in pursuance thereof.”
This means: The Constitution is the highest law.
Federal statutes passed by Congress are also supreme — if they are constitutional.
So the hierarchy is roughly: U.S. Constitution
Federal laws (passed pursuant to the Constitution)
Treaties
State laws
The War Powers Act
War Powers Resolution
The War Powers Resolution (1973) was passed after the Vietnam War to limit unilateral presidential war-making.
It requires that the President: Notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops into hostilities.
Withdraw forces within 60 days (with a 30-day extension) unless Congress authorizes the action.
Congress passed it using its constitutional powers to:
Declare war
Raise and support armies
Regulate the armed forces
Those powers are in Article I, Section 8.
The Constitutional Conflict
The real dispute is not about Article VI overriding the Act.
The debate is:
Does the War Powers Resolution itself violate the Constitution?
Two competing interpretations exist.
View 1 — The War Powers Act is constitutional
Many constitutional scholars argue:
Congress has primary authority over war (Article I).
The President is Commander-in-Chief but cannot start wars without Congress.
Therefore Congress can regulate military deployment.
Under this view, the War Powers Resolution is a valid federal law under the Supremacy Clause.
View 2 — The War Powers Act is unconstitutional
Many presidents from both parties claim:
The President has inherent authority as Commander-in-Chief.
Congress cannot force troop withdrawal once deployed.
The 60-day limit interferes with executive war powers.
Presidents often comply politically but deny it is legally binding.
Important Practical Reality - No court has definitively settled the issue.
The Supreme Court of the United States has generally avoided ruling on War Powers disputes, often dismissing them as political questions.
So in practice: Presidents often report under the War Powers Resolution
But they frequently argue they are doing so “consistent with” rather than “pursuant to” it.
That wording is deliberate.
Article VI Section 2 does not override the War Powers Act.
Instead: The Supremacy Clause says federal laws like the War Powers Resolution are supreme if constitutional.
The real legal question is whether the War Powers Resolution itself is constitutional — and that question has never been fully settled by the Supreme Court.
Neither the War Powers Act nor the War Powers Resolution are Constitutional. The Constitution is not ambiguous. It clearly states Congress has the authority to declare war. The Preamble, the stated purposes for the Constitution, is also clear. One of the stated purposes is to provide for the common DEFENSE. The only legal war is a war in defense of the United States. The President has zero authority to initiate military actions, offensively (as is now the case with Iran) or defensively without first seeking a declaration of war from Congress. If the threat from Iran is as dire as Trump and Rubio have portrayed it, Trump should have had little resistance in obtaining the declaration from Congress. Some people have claimed the reason Trump has not sought a declaration of war from Congress is allegedly certain Congressmen cannot be trusted and will leak sensitive information to our alleged enemy. Any person aiding an enemy is a traitor and should be charged with the crime, and if convicted subject to the death penalty. It was well known before offensive actions began that Trump had ordered a military build-up in the Middle East so the element of surprise did not exist. As to the Supreme Court, it like the other two federal branches of government is not infallible and has too frequently neglected to hear cases of grave national concern. The failure to take up the suit by several states after the 2020 presidential election by claiming the states had no standing is a glaring example. Too often the Court look backs to previous cases, precedents, rather than referencing the Constitution itself to render a judgment. The rewriting of the Affordable Care Act is a glaring example of judicial overreach and erroneous judgment. The Court rewrote the law, a power only Congress has. But more obvious, nowhere in the Constitution does it grant any power to the federal government over health issues. Expediency should never be an excuse for following the requirements of our Constitution. MAGA will never happen without a return to the foundational principles as specified within our Constitution.
I have no problem with Moose Limb Moolahs and their henchmen being vaporized so they can meet their 72 raisins. This is the beginning of the end of a 47 year old war; Iran against the US. We've been at war since 1979 and President Trump is the first US President to try and end it. Kudos to President Trump, Sec War Hegseth and the American military.
As we all know, only “israel”(wasn’t even their first choice for a name in 1948) has the power to declare war on behalf of the United States of Israel….we’re all just slaves including the “commander in chief”.
The world is a stage and everything in DC is just theatre to deceive the masses from the truth.
You'd be more of a slave if Iran isn't stopped. Israel seems to be a very capable ally.
Ask the Iranian citizens about being slaves. Especially the families of the 32,000 protesters murdered by the regime...
It's not Trumps FAULT, that the demented Iranian leadership want to kill EVERYONE in their neighborhood, including the U.S., when and where they can.
I've been watching Tucker, filleting Huckabee, Cruz, Levin, et al -- for being married to Israel. I don't hear Tucker suggesting who's our next ally, in the ME.
The current ally (Israel), is better than no ally in the ME.
Maybe that all changes, as ME countries get ready to help, in the take down of the Iranian.
Maybe the Saudi's are our next great ally. Who'd have thunk that?
You're the fucking bot aresling. where's your plan b? Who's our next ally in the region? Maybe the Saudi's, how bout dem apples? You don't have an alt plan, you're just a whiner, pissing and moaning, trying to be cute... with no alt plan.
They function as an ally, like during this Iran fight.
While you're sticking your thumb, up, where the sun doesn't shine - tell me, about all those liabilities.
Yup, a pussy behind his keyboard.... in mommy's basement, acting like a big time operator? So, you hate Jews or something?
I'm of Scottish descent, arseling. I live in coastal NC... you close to there? Have a beer somewhere?... and I'll enjoy watching you spit your teeth out on the floor.
I had an opportunity today to catch up with some other commentary and interviews on the Iran War. The war is ENORMOUSLY unpopular in America. Only 1 American in 4 supports initiating this action. In fact, the % given is 21% support Trump's action.
Again, let me reiterate. This war is EXTREMELY UNPOPULAR among Americans. They see no reason for the war.
The MAGA press can show displaced Persians dancing in the streets and congratulating Trump. They comprise an extremely infinitesimally small fraction of the American population let alone world population.
Moreover, analyses are beginning to swell showing the actual terrain and size of Iran. The country is riddled with mountainous terrain. We'll have to see how the air campaign develops. I thought another Gaza might be underway, but reports indicate that Iran hasn't begun using any of their major arsenal at this point.
To close with a joke, Newsom offers himself today as a peace candidate. I think all those who voted for Trump because he categorically stated that he would not only NOT start wars but end them realize how they were duped and made a bunch of chumps.
The unfortunate reality in this country, as John said, is the average American has absolutely no choice in candidates nor vote in their country's direction. The average American doesn't give a damn about Bibi's dream of destroying Iran. Let him recall his son from his luxurious Miami living and have him fight in a ground war to dismantle Iran.
That's what he's doing. It's been a 47 year war, that no previous potus wanted to tackle.
The Iranian leadership came out of the gate, 1st meeting with Wittkoff sp?... with them bragging about their hidden enriched uranium and they'll be able to make 11 nuclear bombs. Guess that fricken answers all the questions....
Previous potus would have given them 'pallets of cash' or some trade concession, etc.. Trump exercised his right for a 60 day campaign. Thank God
What war? Did Iran attack us? Is it a crime for countries to have nukes? Note, US/Israel both have nukes but attacked another country for the possibility. All we did was poke the bear and agitate the dragon. "They will leave her desolate and naked, and they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire."
BTW...do you not notice the numerology...47th POTUS, 47 years....thats freemason talk with secret society markings...these people that rule us and Iran hate us. Were being played here, but the real war is to come, when we are invaded and we should all come together for that one.
My fervent hope, DBC, is that Israel gets all the war they want. Evidently Iranian missiles are easily escaping Israeli protector missiles.
People throughout our nation are absolutely disgusted. Look outside your echo chamber of agreement with Trump. Sachs has called him a "disgrace."
Most people don't support Iranian Islam, but Iran has conformed to agreements and sat down to negotiate while Israel and the U.S. have acted like they're the "sly dogs" by pretending to negotiate while already having made the decision to bomb.
Disgusting behavior. Why doesn't Israel learn to live with their neighbors?
Have you seen the reports from RT this morning in Tehran showing civilian structures bombed and people simply walking on the streets killed? Wow. I'm impressed with all the military targets Israel and we are pinpointing.
I like Sachs. One question for him; if he's the diplomat he promotes, why didn't he solve this when he was working for the fed guv?
Arm chair QB's, are full of hot air, sometimes.
"People throughout our nation are absolutely disgusted"... you mean;
Woke globalist people with TDS, are absolutely disgusted.
Again, you gripe about Israel.... while you watch Iran fling scatter shot to all their neighbors, including our bases.... remind yourself of what a clean, democratic and empathetic regime Iran is..... not.
Iran kills their own citizens, at scale...
"Sly dogs". Keep defending Iran.....Move to Iran.... and take your substack with you. You haven't articulated anything of interest or consequence - just griping... a typical TDS symptom. Sorry for your disease. Ivermectin is the way to go.
whaaat conformed to agreements - the nuclear bunkers were virtually wiped in June, they agreed to keep to medical grade enrichment and now the Atomic agency have confirmed they have 60% weapons grade ready in short order when they can make a warhead to deliver all k10 bombs to europe and america. funny conforming not my idea. Walking people killed either killed or walking. most of those from strikes are intentional as they are irgc mobsters. the true Iranians have been told when to stay indoors.
Wikipedia states: "The War Powers Resolution requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30-day withdrawal period, without congressional authorization for use of military force (AUMF) or a declaration of war by the United States. The resolution was passed by two-thirds each of the House and Senate, overriding the veto of President Richard Nixon." Trump gave the required notice. Thus, the air campaign over Iran is proper at present.
John, how many attacks on Americans and how many Americans killed would it take to satisfy you? The 243 Marines killed in the Beruit barracks bombing in the eighties was just the beginning. For someone who fancies himself as a crime reporter, it would appear in this case you have blinded yourself to 47 years of Iranian terror. What part of the Iranian cry of Death to America do you not understand?
John, you say "only when attacked?" What if they launch missiles and wipe out New York City, or Washington DC-----it might be a little bit harder to fight back once we've been attacked.
They've been chanting and ranting death to America for over 35 years!!! I don't think you're looking at this situation from all angles (and there are many).
So far, nobody has mentioned that these religious nuts in charge of Iran are waiting for their Mahadee to return. They believe he will not return until the world has been set on fire. Then he will return to rule the world for Islam. So yes, they want to set the world on fire---they are not thinking logically like we do. They are totally irrational mad men!
Therefore Israel and Trump had to do something about it. End of story.
So your saying warn the enemy before we attack with endless debates , BS . Jefferson attempted to get the Islamist pirates to stop taking US ships and hostages , they didn't , they FAFO .. How many times does international shipping have to face illegal activities by the Iranian Navy . Israel our allies attacked Oct 7 by Hamas supported by Iran ! The same country that illegally attacked the US Embassy in 1979 and held US embassy personal for 444 days , with out retribution . All the while shaking their fist to kill Jew in Israel . Continued to have a nuclear bomb project even after it was destroyed by US and Israel . Now has a coalition of Kuwait, Jordan , Saudi Arabia , Qatar and others , its not a US , or Israeli operation , only ! What is the UN doing to see that Iran follows the agreements it made NOTHING ! What are all the other countries that get oil from that area doing for their own security of their oil supply , yea leave it to the US then piss on the American FLAG ! NZ a totally impenitent country with no DEFENSIVE aircraft and politicians like Don Brash on the executive board of a Chinese bank and Jacinda that allowed the CCP to buy land in NZ and signed the Belts and Roads while Luxon does NOTHING to stop communist expansion ! All the while the countries not supporting the US and the other countries in the coalition are having their names added to a list of nae do well failed governments like the UK that failed to allow B-2 Bombers to refuel ,, wish we had not helped them keep the Nazi's out ! We have a long memory and you will not be forgotten . Liz tell Yon I'm not forgetting his endless Zionist conspiracy BS .
Yes, but John appears to be having a melt-down.... maybe he needs to take a month totally away from social media, up in the mountains, or by the beach to recalibrate his angst and think things through again.......
No justification for attacking another nation has been the norm by this "peace President " and most others these last 70 yrs.
Can you say slowly N Korea, 1953 Iran coup (and the lovely leader we put in place), Gulf of Tonkin, Falkland Islands, Kuwait babies out of the incubators on the floor, 911 and military build up prior then attack on Afghanistan, Sadam Hussain weapons of mass destruction, Libya needed to be broken up into 1,000 factions so their gold reserves could remain in USA, Russia needed NATO ON THEIR BOARDER, Venezuela drug trafficking to remove that BRICS adherent, Cuba needs all energy supplies disrupted and now them thar Iranians need their yearly bombing to destroy that 30 yrs of having nuclear bomb capability "just weeks away".
But Mexico drug / human trafficking next door "not a big deal".
Oh, by the way, "most Muslims" did not like the Supreme Leader so it was ok to assainate them thar leaders 🙄
Did you forget Granada - Regan , and Panama - GHW Bush , and Croatia and Slovenia , and Iraq , oh an Afghanistan... and who else ??? thing to stop the Killing fields in Cambodia or in Rwanda until they were too tire to hack people to death anymore and oh yea they put what was it 1 or 2 people in prison over the Rwanda genocide , Yea I'm impressed , Then there was the incident in Mogadishu - Ethiopia such a total waste of good US solders for Ethiopians !
Kuwait babies out of the incubators in Kuwait was a lie that was given by the daughter of the Kuwait ambassador to justify Desert Storm . As was the CIA lie of Saddam trying to buy yellow cake in Niger by Colin Powell ! The bombing of a pharmaceutical company by Bill Clinton . And how many drone attacks by Obama that killed many civilians and not the intended target ! Assassinate the Ayatollah heck YES for being an international criminal in violation of nuclear agreements and the heads of his regime, heck yes bomb the crap out of them and add for supplying Hamas a terrorist organization with the weapons used on Oct 7 against their enemy Israel add more bombs for that , PLEASE ! Where did you get that BS about Libya having gold in the US , no that was not the case it was Qaddafi going to use gold as an exchange in value in his currency , aka a hard based metals currency that BRICS is now doing . Are you advocating the end of the petro dollar and the Brenton Woods agreement , duh ? That would destroy so many small countries I couldn't count them !
another 100% and especially about the county of my birth which i am ashamed to be part of still. many in Britain agree with you and apologies, we all know what USA did for us in 1939 -45 our families too did not die round the world to see current shower demolishing Britain.
Perhaps you ought to spend less time on Roman history and more time on American history.
"Congress Has Castrated Itself, the Constitutional Republic Is Apparently Finished"
Because of undeclared war? Patrick Henry warned that undeclared wars would be the norm. He warned that a powerful president could simply provoke wars and then claim defense as justification for them. The constitution isn't the protection against it; it's the guarantee for it. It's a feature, not a bug. "I come to examine these features, sir, they appear to me horribly frightful.”
"The last time Congress adhered to its duty was in 1942."
How and when did that congressional "duty" happen? 80% of Americans were opposed to getting involved, so FDR simply provoked us into it. This is exactly what Patrick Henry warned us we would get if we ratified the constitution. And what's this idea that 1942 was the last time we had approval? Are you implying that congressional approval was the norm before then?
Look at what John Adams did to France in 1798. What about Jefferson's claim of self-defense against Tripoli that started the Barbary War? There are numerous other examples.
Constitutional Republic?
"But now, sir, the American spirit, assisted by the ropes and chains of consolidation, is about to convert this country into a powerful and mighty empire. If you make the citizens of this country agree to become the subjects of one great consolidated empire of America, your government will not have sufficient energy to keep them together. Such a government is incompatible with the genius of republicanism. There will be no checks, no real balances, in this government. What can avail your specious, imaginary balances, your rope-dancing, chain-rattling, ridiculous ideal checks and contrivances?"
"Some way or other we must be a great and mighty empire; we must have an army, and a navy, and a number of things. When the American spirit was in its youth, the language of America was different: liberty, sir, was then the primary object."
“My great objection to this Government is, that it does not leave us the means of defending our rights or of waging war. It will establish a standing army, that will execute the arbitrary will of the Executive.”
“A standing army we shall have; also, to execute the execrable commands of tyranny . . ."
My point is that it's fine to condemn this aggressive act of war, but let's not act like this is anything more than a continuation of the norm.
So True John - Thank you! Our Congress has been a cesspit of partisan politics, graft, selfishness and grandstanding with many of them Bribed and maybe Blackmailed.
As bad as recent Presidents have been, nothing disgusts me more than the members of Congress. They have divorced themselves from the process of governing. Their sole purpose is making sure they get reelected in the next election, so of course they don't want anything to do with making a public decision about governing the country because it might cost them a vote or two in the next election. They gave up their Constitutional right to declare war decades ago as well as their right to impose duties and tariffs. They are nothing but a bunch of money grubbing cowards.
The founders seem to have left out something very important from the Constitution. Term limits. Without them the system is setup to breed deep corruption for retaining power.
yep. and now we have the catch-22 of wanting term limits for members of Congress but it's those very members who must enact legislation to impose term limits. Are they going to vote for something that could stop the gravy train?
Congress was just as gutless when the Obama administration did an end around the so called war powers act joining no leading the bombing of Libya for 6 months and helping our “friends” UK and France topple Gaddafi to aid the “Arab spring” which led to the Benghazi massacre at our embassy and was excused away as “Islamophobia” in our country by the likes our then Secretary of State Hilary Clinton
Same old uni party Neocons Bush/Cheney and progressive globalist Democrats Pelosi/Schumer/Obama
Our Constitutional Republic is corrupt from top to bottom. The system is corrupt and the people are corrupt.
Honest, moral people with integrity are unable to operate honestly.
There is an existential war, and it’s not in Iran. It’s a war between Good and Evil. Those who are evil have been operating under the rules of war, while those who oppose evil operate under the rules of politics. The enemy is within…
This ideological asymmetrical war radically changes the political landscape.
There are matters of opinion and matters of Truth. We are at war with an evil enemy within. This is a matter of Truth.
We as a people, must rightly call out and eradicate evil, not in spite of our Constitution, but to preserve our nation.
The gravest danger to a republic is not when enemies stand at the gates, but when those within its walls control the levers of power.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
“Are all the laws but one to go unexecuted, and the government itself go to pieces, lest that one be violated?”
Abraham Lincoln
“A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest.”
Thomas Jefferson
“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
I have to admit that I'm very conflicted about recent events. I recently came across Kohlberg's stages of moral development. While I revere the Constitution, the Constitution is merely law. Kohlberg says that sometimes the highest moral standard requires breaking the law.
Nothing new I am afraid.. What Congressional authorization was given for the Ukraine US proxy war for instance? The US is just like all of us. Here in South Africa, there is a Constitution but everyday one runs the risk of getting murdered by ruthless criminals, something the Constitution was meant to prevent.. See? (from Johannesburg)
Thank god theres a man prepared to stand up against islamisAtion of the west.
"It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so." A very apt Mark Twain-ism.
and our public education stopped educating long ago. We are a stupid, stupid people.
ditto the once Great Britain not education now socialist money grows on trees brainwashing is the order of the day
My clients under 25 cannot even write in cursive. They print their signatures.
lol...you are expecting people to read.
... and read above a 4th grade level, at that. You're right - how foolish of me.
I say it with sadness.

"We should all be asking WHY is a bastion of Free speech and Democracy who gave the parliamentary system to so many parts of the world, failing us all now.?" Because your government has sold you out to the same cabal that is running this op in Iran. Isn't it obvious?
"the Iranians will not be leaving their country , millions round the world are lined up to go home." Citation required.
Reza Pahlavi is a Zionist puppet, as plainly acknowledged by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz: https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/security-aviation/2025-10-03/ty-article-magazine/.premium/the-israeli-influence-operation-in-iran-pushing-to-reinstate-the-shah-monarchy/00000199-9f12-df33-a5dd-9f770d7a0000" - "“a large-scale digital influence campaign in Persian was underway, operated out of Israel and funded by a private entity that receives government support,” adding, “The campaign promotes Pahlavi’s public image and amplifies calls for restoring the monarchy. The campaign relies on ‘avatars,’ fake online personas posing as Iranian citizens on social media.”"
And in any case, Trump has rejected installing Pahlavi as the puppet ruler of Iran" https://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-someone-from-within-iran-regime-might-be-best-choice-to-lead-once-war-ends/.
"this is not regime change" - Trump says it is, plain as day: https://greenwald.substack.com/p/trump-iran-war-is-an-open-ended-regime.
Do you have children and/or grandchildren? Be very careful what you with for there, fish and chips.
Exactly!👍🏻. Apparently , he hasn’t fully educated himself in our laws & how the system works. He should issue a correction!
100%
Ahh, another bot selling “Israel” as an ally rather than the liability that reality says otherwise…🤮
What are those liabilities?
Yup, definitely an “Israeli” bot. Just a paid prostitute spewing propaganda…
Smearing is so 2020. Nice Try.
why didnt you move to Iran then after your government set it all up .
Says the Israeli propaganda bot…
Same old same ole. Think for yourself!
"NOT start wars but end them"
That's what he's doing.
Iran just scatter shot all their neighbors and us.... and that's ok? You trust them? I don't.
Iran needs to drop their weapons, or get completely flattened.
I suspect, with the support of the Iranian citizenry, we'll end up having a new ally in the world... along with Venezuela. Wouldn't that be something?
Masonry; Their (WEF) plans have been different than the Trumps. We're heading towards a NWO, that doesn't include the WEF.
"...but Iran has conformed to agreements and sat down to negotiate while Israel and the U.S. have acted like..."
Did you know, that the Iranian ho bag negotiators in their first meeting - bragged to Wittkoff that they have enriched uranium, enough for 11 nukes.
What agreements? Cocky a$$holes thought they were cute. They're paying for their bullsh!t. Smart citizens will take cover when bombs fall. Duh.
#1 - Iran leadership has been killers for decades.
#2 - The Iran citizenry wants our help, to push the regime out.
#3 - you're approach, is the same numbskull approach we've had for 4 decades.
#4 - Iran leadership is toast - they came out shooting at all their neighbors. Dumber than dumb. Killers extraordinaire... and you defend them?
Bulls eye and 100% again
Honestly, DBC, just don't care. I don't care about Israel. I don't care about Iran. I don't care about you. I don't care about this discussion.
Believe whatever fairy tale you like, dear.
I like Sachs. One question for him; if he's the diplomat he promotes, why didn't he solve this when he was working for the fed guv?
Arm chair QB's, are full of hot air, sometimes.
"People throughout our nation are absolutely disgusted"... you mean;
100% again
america and britian installed the Moose Limbs, they owe the Iranians some relief. this is actually a Liberation movement for the world. not a war.
Not for a war of choice, only when attacked.
As Mayhar Tousi of Tousitv would say too many cousin marriages cause of many problems in the brain.
Apparently John, in all of his research on this topic, has not found this completely Constitutional act by our
elected legislative bodies to be completely Constitutional.
Read Article VI section 2 of the Constitution. The War Powers Resolution is “notwithstanding”, unconstitutional, illegal!
Maybe if John the Baptist held them under just a bit more ....
Nice, repetition of mossad talking points.
They will never get it! Too brainwashed to real👁️ what’s really going on here! Agenda 2030 alive and kicking while the people sleep!
I'm not sleeping and its 3:43 AM !
Yep. The actual story for those willing to look
He/she 🙄 who does not learn from history is doomed to...? Repeat it!
Some historical personage said something illrelevant like that.
No body knows like us newest generational folks (because we know soon much)
John, for a man with uncommon intelligence you're becoming a little wishy-washy here as well.
Or unusually myopic....
Indeed!
So True John - Thank you! Our Congress has been a cesspit of partisan politics, graft, selfishness and grandstanding with many of them Bribed and maybe Blackmailed.
It seems to me Trump is more like Crassus.
I think you mean Cyrus (the Great).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrus_the_Great_in_the_Bible
That is what Chabad says he is but Crassus is more fitting to me.
Meet the new Boss, same as the old Boss eh John?
I agree with you John. Powerfully stated.
Benjamin Franklin
I have to admit that I'm very conflicted about recent events. I recently came across Kohlberg's stages of moral development. While I revere the Constitution, the Constitution is merely law. Kohlberg says that sometimes the highest moral standard requires breaking the law.
Do you consider what is going on with the US and Israel declaring war on Iran to be of the highest moral standard? My God are we all doomed!
Earl’s comment was responding to my comment, not the war in Iran.
Why not take time to write down your thoughts in the war?
Write down your position and thoughtfully defend it. Please.
Do you need a tissue John?
