On the one hand, heard them call most of us Americans “confused” as to their efficacy (Uh, that’s a big hell No, not confused here!) so “they need more data.” On the other hand, they’re asking for a 6 month placebo controlled trial to figure it out so that they can provide the confused public the next FDA approved booster. Okay, so, when that 6 month trial is over, whatever strain they tested for efficacy, will almost 100% assuredly be extinct. So, will the FDA then ensure that potential recipients be fully informed, that whatever injection they’re receiving is for a COVID strain that no longer exists??

As a 71 year-old who takes an immunosuppressant for an autoimmune condition, and thus in the cohort recommended to take the jab, there is no way I would allow this stuff into my body. I have a tough time fighting off infections and I can't imagine how my low-intensity immune system would handle millions of SARS-CoV-2 spike floating around telling that system to attack and kill invaded cells - possibly in perpetuity. Perhaps I'm just a silly layman, but it makes ZERO sense to me, especially considering the safer options available to combat something that's not even much or threat anymore.
