I think he was more informed about personal health and healing and knew nature was where true health care is found. More in harmony with the natural world and capable of self-care without having to go see an "expert" hoping it's not one of the 95% who don't know what they're doing and more like the 5% (Dr McCullough) who do.
Interesting story. Wonder how many other such stories are buried, waiting to be discovered?
My take: if he was murdered, it just shows that even 5000+ years ago Cain was still killing Abel...and it continues to this day. Brother killing brother. It's not human nature, it is fallen human nature, which all of us inherit.
But 2000 or so years ago, God provided a lamb, a sacrifice in the form of His son, Jesus who became the Christ by willingly going to the cross to die for our sins. And those who believe on Him and accept him as Lord no longer have to live in the natural, fallen nature now on earth, and will eventually live in a new heaven and a new earth. II Peter 3:13.
Well done John. I just love thinking about the City of God. Very few people dare to consider or even mention 2 Peter 3: (The earth, and everything in it is melted with fervent heat in the Day of the Lord). Jesus saves, praise God. Thank you John, you are a faithful witness. God bless you.
David, I have a quite personal reason for loving 2 Peter 3: when I was a young teen, while I was working in my garden, I had a vision of the end, with a mighty explosion of red and orange, and a feeling of being lifted up, along with others. In moments, it was over, but I soon got my Bible and found the reference in 2 Peter.
That likely contributed to my giving my life to Christ two years later at a revival during a six-week Bible training summer camp. I have been walking with Him, sometimes not so close, but lately much more closely since, 60+ years.
Very interesting testimony John, and I have somewhat similar experience. I am also currently reading a book by John Burke, "IMAGINE HEAVEN". It is true accounts of people who have had near death experiences... and all of those accounts refer to being lifted up in some way, and saw Jesus, in Heaven. The things they saw correspond to the Bible text, even though many of those people were not familiar with the Bible. Heaven is where New Jerusalem is, the City of God... these people saw it, and the Bible says it is coming down from heaven, and God will live among us, on "a new Earth" ... because the old earth, and heavens are passed away, when Jesus judges the Earth by fire, as prophesied. Peter clarifies... in 2nd Peter 3: "even the elements melt with fervent heat" and "everything is dissolved" in the Day of the Lord. Peter then states "What manner of persons ought we to be, seeing that all these things are dissolved". I see that you and I are making an attempt to warn people of what is surely coming... we are doing the will of God, as commanded by Jesus, to watch and warn. Good job you are doing John. God bless you.
I find that Second, Peter uses a metaphor to describe a new heaven and earth, not a literal one.
There is nothing wrong with the earth, especially the heavens, except for the imperfection of its inhabitants and the fallen individuals in the heavens.
The Bible uses earth and heavens to describe society and government in heaven's case.
The Bible also describes cleansing both realms and establishing the Messiah's kingdom, ruling over the earth, bringing it back to its original form as intended.
Remember, after creating our home God stated it was good,. There is no reason to abandon it.
Phil, with all due respect, your finding is not correct, and in your summaries, your doctrine is not in accordance with what the Bible says. Peter is speaking clearly, in plain language, with no evidence of metaphors. Here is what he said: (direct extraction from the Bible, for all to judge):
2 Peter 3:1 (KJV):
"This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in [both] which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: {3:2} That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the
commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: {3:3} Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, {3:4} And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation. {3:5} For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: {3:6} Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed
with water, perished: {3:7} But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. {3:8} But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. {3:9} The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
{3:10} But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. {3:11} [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness, {3:12} Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements
shall melt with fervent heat? {3:13} Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. {3:14} Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and
blameless. {3:15} And account [that] the longsuffering of our Lord [is] salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; {3:16} As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be
understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. {3:17} Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. {3:18} But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen."
Phil, Isaiah also mentions the new heaven and the new earth: Isaiah 65: 17 "For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind."
Again, Isaiah reiterates God's words: Isaiah 66: 22... "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. {66:23} And it shall come to pass, [that] from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. {66:24} And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their
fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh."
Above, yet another example, Phil, (again with no evidence of metaphor)... God will destroy the Earth by fire, as promised in scripture, and as stated, we will be enjoying a new heaven and a new earth, from the beautiful City of God, New Jerusalem, while God repopulates the new Earth.
The entire Bible makes it abundantly clear that the earth is polluted with sin, blood and corruption... since Adam and Eve, and even after Noah's Flood, especially in the last days... right now.
The present Earth will certainly be destroyed by fire, as stated in the Bible, and we, who call on the name of Jesus, will be spared... all else is destroyed, in 'The Day of the Lord", mentioned many times, by several prophets, including Joel, quoted by Peter in Acts 2: (as follows):
Acts 2:14 ..."But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: {2:15} For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.
{2:16} But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; {2:17} And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: {2:18} And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: {2:19} And I will shew wonders in
heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: {2:20} The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: {2:21} And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord
shall be saved."
Who ever is teaching you Phil, is apparently not telling you the straight facts, or the truth. Read the Bible for yourself, trust no one to do the job for you. Trust God, in Jesus name. The Holy Spirit teaches the truth of all things.
The 'Day of the Lord' happens after the 'sun is darkened, moon into blood', and that happens after the Tribulation... (Matt. 24:29). There is much false doctrine being spread Phil, (especially within the churches), and WE are responsible to keep all that Jesus taught, and refuse all false doctrine. God bless you and keep you, in Jesus' precious name.
Sorry, my man. But my read of the New Testament scriptures is of symbolism, not physical reality. The reality was accounted for in the Old Testament as a type that gave the physical representations of the future. Just as Abraham was commanded to sacrifice his only begotten son. A physical representation of what God would do in the future. Also, the sacrifices of the Hebrews under the Law made animal sacrifices, which were needed constantly, but signified the one true lasting sacrifice of Jesus' perfect human life. Therefore, one must use a more discerning eye to understand the New Testament, a book of future spiritual events. The New Heavens is the new spiritual government devoid of human rulers, but of the Messiah and his heavenly rule over the earth. The New World is a new society of God fearing individuals living under the New Heavens. Thus, this brings man back to the original purpose set in the Garden of Eden: to cultivate the Earth and expand humans. As mentioned in the NT from Paul, one perfect man lost a perfect life, but one perfect man has brought it back, balancing God's original purpose. Romans Chapter 5. A complete restoration of God's purpose for man.
Am I correct, Phil, that you are asserting that the Earth will not be subjected to a fire that destroys everything in it, even melting the elements, when Jesus returns? A simple yes or no would be appropriate, thank you.
Not so much is fallen but virtually impossible to correct, enough to begin anew like it was in the days of our common ancestor Noah (Ziusudra / Utnapishtim). This time, however, after a cleansing of earth and heavens, to straighten and correct all things and restore life amd justice.
What an interesting article about a 5000 year old human! Our tools and toys have evolved for sure, but our basic instincts towards other humans not so much.
All those stories about archeology big and small going back further than 400 to 500 years ago are pure fantasy. First, there is no way to accurately date anything older than ourselves - and, to be precise, we are unable to properly declare our own age. We have to rely on documents issued by others or stories told by others. We truly do not know how old we are, every one of us.
Dating past artifacts is based on references to other artifacts. We have no idea how credible they are, whether they come from Chinese factories of dinosaur bones AD 2025, they were “Moon” rocks first proudly exhibited and then quickly removed and destroyed or hidden away, or they were literary “masterpieces” attributed to Shakespeare. We know next to nothing about written sources, how they came into being, what for, how true to the reality they were, how sound were the minds that produced them. All the way back to the most famous philosophers and “founding fathers” of all sorts. In fact, when we get hold of biographies from third party sources, it usually turns out that the authors were completely different in mind, attitude and function than we are being told.
All big “discoveries” and “voyages” in the history came out of the blue and have never been corroborated by other parties, especially by competitors. We are led to believe that good luck travelled along with all of them throughout all history. How convenient.
And there is always an option that we (the humanity) are not older than, say, 200 years, with repeat memories being imprinted and cycle stories being uploaded into our minds. How else could history repeat “itself”? Discovering by accident various archeological sites, well, it would take some time to recreate them, but it is nothing impossible. Imagine return on investment!
Of course, we have to show gratitude to all those fantasy makers who make fancy pictures, provide perfect explanations without ever being even close to the event (in time and space), write elaborate articles, and nicely fit new findings within the previously spun stories. These guys know literally everything - what and why happened millions years ago in a random place on the Earth, regardless of the changes in fauna, flora, climate, geology and other conditions. The same circles of guys know perfectly what is happening in galaxies far and away - having never been farther from their own home than 20 miles. And drawing all conclusions based on random dots representing (they say) the unlimited universe on a half-letter-page of paper.
We are so afraid of doing nothing and simple existing that we go to extreme lengths inventing the past. Maybe on a much larger scale than we are inventing fake present events or lay ground for fake future developments.
That’s rubbish!..while not all science is accurate, there is no reason to throw the baby out with the bath water.. The historicity of biblical artefacts for example has been studied and painstakingly qualified for centuries. If we cannot trust or believe in those methods, why would we believe in any observation.. including yours?..
My argument is not against using methods or observing. I suggest two basic factors which prevent factual conclusions. One is that we are assessing the past through the contemporary mind. In other words, we are reading into the past all that we are today. And we are not even aware of it. Two, there is a host of contributing factors that skew, distort, eliminate, interpret or destroy our thinking about the past, present or future (all science). These include financial incentives, number of citations, prestige, positions held, competitors to these positions, patent benefits, royalties, copyright fame, publication renown, the fear-review process, ideological reasons, vested interests, and more. Try to do one smallest piece of science without them and you will get pretty close to “truth” (or “facts”).
How about Pompeyi and Herculaneum? Nothing to find there? No historical accounts about the event?
You have become quite nihilistic, perhaps from climate, vaccine, and corona fraud and a lot of corruption in science, media, and politics. (Not to talk about religion and the churches.)
:-) No, no, I do not mix up assessment of conditions or options with intentions to venture. But I certainly do not want to be blinded by my own hopes and past "successes" to the extent that will distort the now as it is. I guess that's a basic common misunderstanding.
Besides, these are your (my) rules, so you can break them any time. Have they promised you a Nobel cash pillow? Go ahead, “find” Lucy’s bones one day before your deadline expires (and tell stories about fate and good luck). Well, you can even use your finger to seal an opening in a “space” ship - the scale of this feat is such that nobody will challenge you. Or build Stonehenge components to make a better impression (and ROI). The sky is the limit - according to Einstein, who said that science is poor and weak because it has to conform to rules, but imagination is the king because it knows no limits. A lot of scientists actually follow this premise.
Well said! This is so true. What do we know - really - about ourselves, or even our nearest family members? When loved ones die, we realise how little we knew about them. We idolise famous people without any relevant firsthand experience. Einstein - who was he in fact? And yes, Shakespeare, who wrote so much, yet remains personally a mystery. Much of history is fantasy built to make a story that is interesting or inspiring. Religions of course are built on stories only loosely connected with reality. The Bible. The Koran. Was there in fact a person Jesuis? Did Mahomed exist? There is much more faith than fact in most history. But it does serve a purpose - helping us get through the day, giving as stories to satisfy the mind's need for some kind of worldview, some picture we can cling to....
Mythicists deny that Jesus existed, historians disagree. The early Christian writings were written by group members following Jesus' teachings. Most were uneducated, and lots of mistakes were made. Later, professional scribes paid to copy manuscripts, quite often changed spelling, which changed meaning, and also made additions or subtractions to ensure what they were passing on conformed to their own personal interpretations. Then there is the difference between languages, Old Testament Hebrew, Jesus spoke Aramaic, and the New Testament in Koine Greek. The Bible holds information chosen by the more powerful Christian voices and groups, as always politics plays into everything. Scholars like Patricia Crone have done a deep dive and concluded that Mohammed did exist. We can corroborate big picture information, but there is no way of deciphering the truth of many stories and details surrounding these religious figures.
I am thinking of people like Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Salomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Paul, Luke, John (tge disciple, of highpriestly family, not the Zebedee, although I'd be confident to say: One year with Him, Yeshua, is worth more than many years at any higher learning.)
Of course I am but unlike yours, mine is an informed opinion.. however you are also entitled to yours regardless.. What you are not entitled to do is waste the time of others, by trolling, simply for your own amusement.
I am a bit skeptical about the authenticity of the past. First, we know first-hand that the contemporary events are being falsified 24/7 and proudly broadcast, filmed and written about. Making fake stories about the past may seem more difficult. But… Who can verify this? Not me, not you, only a very few select “experts” whom we have never met = fantasy figures of equal standing.
On the other hand, the whole past, even most unbelievable and unfounded, does serve some purpose. Otherwise, it would have not survived. We may not be able to grasp this purpose (no wonder considering the extremely limited capacity of our mind - as proven by thousands of memes).
My point is: why bother about things that cannot be verified 100% once and for good? Let them be as they are. They are useful for some people, entertaining for some, the basis of inner existence for some, and a source of income for some. All these needs being of equal, respected value.
I have no way to prove you aren't a bot spewing erroneous information, so I guess "why bother about things that cannot be verified 100%" and will ignore your argument. See how that works?
You have responded to a prompt - in terms of botology that’s 100% success rate. Incidentally, you have disclosed a lot of information about yourself, which is another success rate. “I have no way to prove” means that you have limited access to testing measures and knowledge (or limited interest - but then you would be disqualified as a genuine conversation partner in any blog platform). “that you aren’t a bot” shows that you are not aware of testing tools to tell bots from humans. “erroneous information” is a display of pre-judgment and refusal to address specific issues, which is a sign of surrender, as evidenced by the rest of the statement. These are merely 3 pieces of information upon which (and the rest of the statement) a more elaborate profile may be built. Even if you are trying to converse narcissist-style, without genuine interest in becoming more of yourself through interaction with others, it’s just another bullet point in your profile. We live in a weird virtual world.
Skepticism is necessary for the scientific process. Without it, everything is "true". To be non-skeptical is to be anti-science. The more effort you put into studying much of what our history is based on, the more dead ends and questionable beginnings you find. The more you learn, the less you "know". Theories are presented as and taken as absolute fact, which turns off our brains. Theories and mysteries make us think while 'facts' make us move along.
The ^^ commitment to believing that there's nothing beyond the state of being uninformed is... an impressive example of something, I guess. Education degrees have a lot to answer for. Not all opinions are equal or valid. Even if it feels unfair.
Radiocarbon dating using C-14 isotope which has a half-life of almost 6k years can be off by several decades, but still a very illuminating tool to determine the age of organic material.
And it can also be off by hundreds of years (literature). In terms of science that lives by angstroms and milliseconds, it is equivalent to guessing.
Even if accurate (what does it really mean?), the dating alone does not mean anything. We are still looking into an ancient history through an ultra-miniature peephole. It’s all in our imagination. Which is richer in biases than the universe in stars. (Exaggeration intended.)
'Radioactive carbon dating can be off by hundreds of years' forget literature; it is the first thing that pops up on Google. Still better than guessing, 3300 years, when really it is 3000 years, I will take that, close enough for me. Also, the copper head is also useful in piecing the puzzle together to get a sense of life back then. I will take a keyhole view over no view, although the aperture is wider than that. Still, you are entitled to your skepticism, it is good to question everything, even our own biases.
Agree completely. If we decide to search for answers, there must be some starting point, even if it is wrong. The search, I understand and accept. I am only against “scientists” calling all their fantasies, theories and work in progress “facts” and passing out all this thing as “knowledge”. But I also get it that they won’t get a dime if they tried to publish “Fantasy #751. Oxygenation capacity of supposedly Middle Age swords in supposedly factual battles.” You simply have to fake it till you make it.
Scientists put forward hypotheses, then they can evolve to theories, but science is always in flux, last year's theory is today's fiction. But we need a scaffolding regardless.
Carbon dating is the calculus, the calibration is based on the decay of the isotope determining how old something is, it is a veritable scientific measurement, nothing to do with past human observation. Suppose it takes 6 months to build a one-story house, and that is known (C-14 half-life is known). Scientists' cross paths with a sixty-story house, and want to know when it was built? It makes no difference if no one ever deduced when the house was built prior to the science experiment, the math will determine the answer.
That is assuming there were no unknown factors in the interim, which is absurd. We only know what the decay rate is during a miniscule timeframe, under current conditions, without knowing how previous conditions may have affected the rate of decay. The long range accuracy is unknowable without a way to double check. People don't know carbon dating is accurate. They believe it is.
C¹⁴-Radiocarbon dating tends to show an aberration on the slightly older side the further you go back in time. Ötzi may be 5000 years old lor less) instead of 5300. C¹⁴ was slowly building up after flood-and ice-age due to vanishing of stratospheric water vapor. These measurements are not calibrated accordingly.
Yet, we can know enough history through archeology and ancient texts to be able to accept and conclude things happening during about 7500 years of our human history.
These are our interpretations (hypotheses) based on a) what we know (or think that we know) today, b) what we think these parameters looked like back in time, c) how these parameters behaved back in time - based on what we know or observe or theorize today, d) the assumption that no other factors were at play.
We may be good +/- 1 day or less, but it doesn’t change the underlying common sense rule that it still remains a hypothesis, not a statement of anything factual or historically 100% certain.
We just need to wait until they discover the element no. 286, and when they do, they will find it everywhere and it will revolutionize all dating methods. They will laugh at us all day long. This scenario played back so many times in history.
In general, as I can see, the more fantasy-like the subject, the more “certain” are those who present it. Like the big bang folks there. And the best roles are played by those who cannot see and observe, and who use intricate instruments instead - all based on certain limited perspectives and theories. A theory remains a theory no matter how sophisticated the method is. It may even be a nicely working theory, supported by experiments. Until one day Michelson and Morley come and draw a conclusion from their experiment that the Earth is stationary.
Michelson and Morley could only measure the speed of light relative to the earth. You can't conclude so much from that. Neither in behalf of Einstein's ideas nor of stationarity of earth. What could it possibly mean relative to sun and moon and planets and stars?
Regarding sloe berries, they are very high in vitamin C and are often given as a syrup to new mothers recovering from childbirth, and to anyone having trouble recovering from any illness. In other words, they are a strong, general tonic that supports the body's regenerative processes.
That Oetzi guy could hammer A/i into dust. Despite all the "technological" progress over the last 5,000 years, allowing our insanely crappy leaders to control us is leading us back to prehistoric times. If RAMBO makes another movie hopefully he is venting his vengeance upon the DC swamp...no other place is so deserving.
It appears to be that way..so many can kill too easily. It is hard for me to understand, because I can't stand to see anyone get hurt. It makes me weak in the elbows. i doubt I could pull a trigger on a gun, even to defend myself. i feel the same way about animals...I would rather go without food than have to kill an animal. I just couldn't do it.
I followed the story somewhat for years John Leake, my interest piqued by the stated age of Oetzi's existence. The Flood, described in the Bible, in Genesis 6: , is calculated to be around 4,500 years ago. The Flood is responsible for the appearance of virtually all geologic features today, and many producing mines have depths of around 2,000 or more feet, meaning that much of what was in the lowlands is now buried by the tsunamis that covered the forests, and scarred the existing bedrock, etc. So... Oetzi was up in the top of the mountains, with an arrow head lodged in his back... from the z-ray you showed, not an instantly fatal wound, unless an artery was severed, but definitely infectious, disabling, and painful. It would have been quite difficult for Oetzi to complete or use his bow, or finish his arrows with his shoulder injured. My curiosity has been centered around this concept...was Oetzi actually fleeing the Flood? The Bible says that only Noah and his family survived, and in the tight time-frame, it is possible that Oetzi was indeed a witness to the destruction of the Earth by water... the reason... as the Bible says, the violence on the Earth at that time was great. Oetzi might have been carrying that arrow head in his shoulder for a significant amount of time before he succumbed. Tantalizing question and a long shot.
I have a different take on this. I do agree with your unspoken-but-implied premise that human nature does not change (at least when viewed over the stretch of several thousand years). For the foreseeable future, humans will continue to have the very same nature that they had in the visible past.
But I am of the impression that approximately 92% of human beings are lovely, and that another 6% or so could be cajoled into living a life as a lovely human being, even if it was not in their constitutional hierarchy of personal propensities. This means that approximately 2% of human beings will be obstinate power-lusting opportunistic narcissists, or OPLON's, for short.
When we make law, we need to keep the OPLON's at the forefront of our thought. As Aristotle said, you do not pass laws in order to alter the behavior of your friends -- they were going to treat you the right way because of having developed the propensity to do so -- but a society needs law because not all people are friends with one another.
If law is aimed at the 2% who intend to abuse others persistently (that 2% who are immune to psychological and moral and spiritual counsel), then people flourish. The reason we are in a predicament today is because we forgot that 2% of us are, essentially, terrible (even if 98% of us are lovely beings). The new effect today comes from information asymmetry (surveillance).
The bad guys know much, much more about the good guys than they ever did before, but the good guys -- by not being in charge of the intelligence apparatus of the state -- do not have a harmonizing balance of knowledge about the bad guys, thereby tilting the field in favor of bad guys. Getting back to a level playing field between bad and good requires changing laws.
Perhaps the best law to repeal would be the Patriot Act -- which affords bad guys the ability to know almost everything about good guys, including those times of day or that time of the week or month or year when the good guys are the most vulnerable and the most susceptible to attack. I have two essays on Substack related to this, this later one references the first:
I think he was more informed about personal health and healing and knew nature was where true health care is found. More in harmony with the natural world and capable of self-care without having to go see an "expert" hoping it's not one of the 95% who don't know what they're doing and more like the 5% (Dr McCullough) who do.
Ecclesiastes 1:9
That which has been is that which will be,
And that which has been done is that which will be done.
So there is nothing new under the sun.

You left out that his tatoos were at acupuncture points to treat gut problems.
Perceiving limitations is not nihilism. Remembering them while doing what you are doing is a simple scientific precaution.
Well, if I adopted your mindset, I probably wouldn't want to do anything any more at all.
The writers of these ancient texts were quite educated as you could easily find out.
Which century?
I am thinking of people like Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Salomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Paul, Luke, John (tge disciple, of highpriestly family, not the Zebedee, although I'd be confident to say: One year with Him, Yeshua, is worth more than many years at any higher learning.)
Research did Moses write the books of Moses, from an historical perspective? Protestants and Catholics differ on this.
You are categorically wrong… clearly you have no academic education or basic knowledge of history or you could not state such blatant inaccuracies.
You are entitled to your opinion.
Of course I am but unlike yours, mine is an informed opinion.. however you are also entitled to yours regardless.. What you are not entitled to do is waste the time of others, by trolling, simply for your own amusement.
Once again, you are entitled to your opinion.
Your response shows not much apart from some anger and ad hominem.
Bot.. and a boring one at that..
Undue skepticism. Wholly.
I'd suggest honesty.
Who observed it for those 6000 years to ensure accuracy?
If you think carbon 14 dating is not useful, so be it.
That's not at all what I said, but your incorrect assumption about my opinion on the matter gave me a good laugh. Thanks for that.
After watching a few episodes of a show called Ridiculousness...I am concerned about where the human species is heading?
Very interesting. I wish our men would show more testosterone. His personal first aid kit was fascinating. Great article.
A less stressful read than your AA debacle in England.
He was an early customer of The Wellness Company!
Think about someone attacking and about to harm your little children.
I hate thinking of him dying alone in the ravine, did he leave children behind?
The older data (from Septuagint, Flavius Josephus, and Sam. Pentateuch) are more accurate than the Masoretic numbers in our bibles.
John,
I have a different take on this.

Nothing is over! Nothing!
I visited Oetzi in Bolzano years ago. On a cycling trip through Tyrolea. What does it say about modern humans that we put him on display?
That we don't unduly worship maudlin ideas about the primacy of vague superstitions over knowledge.
At one time, 1/3rd of the people on the planet were murderers.
