How horrible. Where are the old James Cameron subs? Is there no backup that can be made operational? With 300 Billion going to the neocons proxy war, why not divert 10 billion for this and show folks that government is good at more than just genocide, election rigging, and grift?

macDuff's avatar

because it's not good for other than that.

Jimychanga's avatar

Maybe that can change. It would be nice to make murder illegal again.

So the Olympians beat the Titans.

The Titanic sank, but it may actually have been the Olympic.

The Titan submersible is missing.

I'm thinking that maybe the name isn't a great one for sea going vessels.

AnnR's avatar

Or, PERHAPS, certain PEOPLE cannot have anyone looking too closely at the wreckage with today's technology because the truth will come out. That's the first thing I thought.

Evil Harry's avatar

I hadn't considered that angle.

Thank you.

MakalekaAnne's avatar

Exactly what I thought!!!!

Barbara's avatar

Was it really the Titanic that sank or was it the Olympic, its sister ship? There is substantial evidence suggesting that the ships were switched in order to collect an insurance settlement while simultaneously getting rid of those pesky opponents to Rothschilds & Rockefeller's plan to create the Federal Reserve.

I'd have thought such a question was crazy if I had read it just 4 years ago. But since Covid, I am willing to entertain almost any conspiracy theory. So far, nearly every crazy conspiracy theory seems to be turning out to be true.

AnnR's avatar

see my question above!!!!

3 tons per square inch pressure, 2 miles down with strong currents... Insane humans!

The Titanic has become synonymous with tragedy. I can't understand anyone willing to take such a risk to look at a wreck on the bottom of the ocean.

this little authoritarian's avatar

One wonders if some things are never meant to be found and anyone who goes in search of such things may never come back.

It's existential tragedy.

AnnR's avatar

Can I ask a very stupid question? There are ICEBERGS in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean 900 miles EAST OF CAPE COD? IN APRIL???? I was so UNAWARE, I always thought the Titanic had hit an iceberg somewhere near the Arctic Circle, where icebergs abound. So, now I'm thinking that maybe the "skeptics" are correct: it WASN'T the Titanic (it was the sister ship) and it wasn't an iceberg. Anyone have any insight for me?

Valerie's avatar

Thank you! I’ve been wondering the same thing.

We are in a similar race against time against the fasco-Marxist Deep State, and running out of both monetary and democratic oxygen.

Cynthia Ford's avatar

Maybe because it is so terrifying to be running out of oxygen, and claustrophobic, we distance ourselves from the fear they must be experiencing. Reminds of the Kursk disaster, and of the almost perfect movie, Red Tide, which tells the mythic story of the shift from old world and its weaponry and the nuclear world. I keep feeling this situation as a metaphor or symbol, as if it is like how we all feel we are falling without power towards hull crush depth. "Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours?" God be with these souls.

macDuff's avatar

why don't you know that it wasn't the titanic down there, it was the olympic which had already been damaged. Those people don't throw good money after bad. The olympic was an insurance case, they surely were compensated for the accident and were able to pocket the titanic under another name as bonus. Why don't you mention how J.P. Morgan pulled his freight off the ship before it sailed and changed his alleged plans of taking the voyage. The people in the submersible probably made the error of announcing what they were doing. I"m sure the people who don't want this information to be confirmed were ready for them and took them out. You won't find them alive.

Kind of like the World Trade Center full of asbestos, and the Israeli "Students" who lived in it for a year before demolition, then Larry Silverstein collecting the insurance shortly afterward.

macDuff's avatar

but wait, I thought everything incredible is a coincidence. I was at my meeting of the coincidence theorists and I've lost 2 days, I woke up here and now it looks like everything is a conspiracy. I must be short a couple of safe and effective vaccines, and maybe I need to install some monitoring devices to keep me from being tempted by being comfortable in my own house.

According to reports (if true), voyages to the Titanic wreck have been made on the Titan, since 2021. It's a rich-tourist thing.

David Blackwell RN, CCM (Ret.)'s avatar

So sad. My prayers are with the crew. I spent my early career as a Commercial Diver and Dive Medic in the Gulf of Mexico oil fields. We lost a crew of divers once on a salvage mission.

Randall Stoehr's avatar

My older brother was a first class Navy diver on a Rescue Salvage ship in the Pacific theater.

Life underwater he claims, is best suited for undersea mammal and the fishes.

David Blackwell RN, CCM (Ret.)'s avatar

It is a tough environment for sure. To be a navy diver you need a big watch and a small pecker (cold water = shrinkage.)

Randall Stoehr's avatar

All you transgender folks take note here. Ice that prick down for compact packaging! Haha.

Randall Stoehr's avatar

Now that's some funny ass Aqua man lingo right there. And no doubt what is said while @ Naval Diving School by the best instructors America can buy. Not everyone is born with the Balls and love of the ocean of a Jacques Cousteau.

Fain Zimmerman's avatar

I agree - no way I'd sign up for a submarine trip!

Tis one of the most remarkable Graveyard sites the world has ever known. And like the lost city of Atlantis, one day the entire existence of the Unsinkable ship will leave no trace as it dissolves in the 2 mile depth of icy mid Atlantic sea water into small particles. It is already in such a stage of decay.

I believe this expedition was to view the "impractically" un-viewable before the ocean floor accepts what is left of the giant hulk of what was once Mans greatest opulent ocean liner cruise ship.

Blaise's avatar

Hope the fasco-Marxists running the world also similarly dissolve! Peacefully and non-violently, of course

Mike B's avatar

Fiery, but mostly peaceful would suffice …

Blaise's avatar

Well, I'm 100% non violent, and of the MLK persuasion. If MLK were around today, the hypocrite BLM "we are trained Marxists" would probably call him an Uncle Tom.. .which THEY are, for the deep state

Thanks for the additional info.

By the way, Astor’s pregnant wife did not go down with the ship.

I believe I heard someone report that these people paid $250,000 to be on this trip
