Great that you are promoting natural nootropics to replace SSRI and SNRI dependence, but it seems that you still believe in the "chemical imbalance" causal mythology for anxiety and depression. A landmark 2022 umbrella review by Moncrieff et al. (the largest of its kind, covering 17 major serotonin research lines) concluded:
There is no convincing evidence that depression is caused by low serotonin levels or any measurable deficit in serotonergic function.
• No correlation between serotonin metabolites and depression
• Depleted serotonin does not cause depression in healthy subjects
• SSRI benefits do not imply serotonin deficiency
• Long-term antidepressant use may itself downregulate serotonin receptors
Ditto for SNRIs. In short: the chemical imbalance story has no empirical validity. Even top psychiatrists now openly admit this.
After my total hysterectomy in 2000, my caring GYN put me on Prozac. I must say it saved my life. Real, genuine help for depression and panic attacks. But it has been 25 years, and I want to stop taking it.
While I am not an MD, be quite careful - SSRI withdrawal can be deadly. Perhaps McCullough's nootropic formulation could help manage a gradual reduction in your medication. It may go without saying, but walking or exercising outdoors in the sun should help as well.
IMMENSELY GRATEFUL to Dr. McCullough and The Wellness Company for providing access to holistic treatments in addition to medications as NEEDED based upon each Patient. 🙌🙏
I was on Nucynta for 10 to 12 years for chronic neuropathic pain from small fiber neuropathy. Nucynta is a combination of SSNRI and opiate. Similar to Cymbalta and opiate. Whenever I would discuss changing, the PAs would always tell me that Nucynta was notoriously difficult to reduce or stop.
My GP was having some success using IV phosphatidylcholine for diabetic neuropathy. Though that’s not what I had, we decided to try it for my small fiber neuropathy. Within one month I had reduced my Nucynta by 50%. Within three months I went from 160 mg morphine equivalent of Nucynta down to 30 mg morphine equivalent. Then I switched to just 30 mg morphine, no Nucynta.
Perhaps you should consider the brain affects of phospholipids in place of SSRIs et al. phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, etc
I have been encouraged most of my adult life by Doctors to take these drugs . I have taken them and felt that they were not doing what was told to me but something else. Never put my finger on it until I figured out that the entire HEALTH SYSTEM was ruled by Big Pharma. I have literally fired doctors who have attempted to put these meds on my regime. Unfortunately, I am now trying to heal my gut that was attacked by Zantac 75mg from the age of 16. I am 67. And to this day have been battling the rebound issues that occur when trying to get off these drugs. I went from the ranitidine concoction to Protonix to Famotidine daily to now which is as needed. But the fact that I was just accepting the "White Coat" syndrome for years and went along with it is my concern for the future. There is just way too much of a relationship between BIG PHARMA & "HEALTH" CARE ... for this to be anything but a EUGENICS PROGRAM in and of itself.
Studying the human body and the SUBJECT OF NUTRITION for almost 65 years, which is not required in med school,,,II is difficult to believe that med school didn't teach Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine's information, which produced cures. When 95% of illness is created from what enters the bloodstream, and doctors aren't taught the function of the bloodstream is to carry nutrients from food to the organs, glands and cells...to produce energy and health...and this isn't taught???. It really makes one think that the whole Medical Industry, promoted by John D. Rockefeller of Standard Oil back in 1910 was simply set up to make money!
SSRI’s are overprescribed and absolute hell to discontinue. Nobody is ever given warnings about the devastating symptoms you get trying to get off them. For the general population they are poison.
I would really like to get off Prozac, which I have taken at 20mg daily for 25 years. Every time I have tried to taper off, I hit a wall at two weeks and the crying starts. How should I go about trying with the support of your Mind Lift product? Please help.
Have you tried tapering more slowly. For example, rather than initially reducing to 15 MG daily, reducing to 17 or 17.5., cutting pills in half if needed.
I have family members taking cocktails of these types of drugs. Is 'mind lift' a way of filling the gap as the SSRI's are tapered off? Long term perhaps yoga and exercise could help lift mood, as well as psychotherapeutic analysis and support.
I myself have been on SSRI's for a very long time and weened off them multiple times , be very careful doing this! The key to it is first if you are on a extended release version then you need to make the switch to a non extended release version, those tablets can be cut down the ER version medications cannot be cut! Once you switch one can get used move to the lowest dose of non extended version for a month and then shave a quarter off next month and then move to half for a month and then a quarter tablet ect. Take you time doing this !Sounds like this product would probably be a good thing to help tapper off, best thing after that is try seeing a functional medical doctor get your genes tested for MTHFR mutation and adrenals tested 51 % of population has this , A good book on all this to read I'd Dirty Genes by Dr Ben Lynch. The best to everyone doing this hang in there you can do it !!!
Do you think this product would help people who don’t suffer depression but have cognitive functioning disorders, such as lack of Critical thinking, because of Autism?

Dr. McCullough would like to see you interview psychiatrist Dr. Peter Bregin about SSRIs and his opinion of your natural product.
