Wonderful! I haven't read it. It brought to mind "Three Men in a Boat" by Jerome K. Jerome, another hilarious tale.

I find some of the funniest literature written before the common era.

Even historical accounts, as in "Castle, Keeps, and Ruins of England and Wales" (ca1872, $2.50 at thrift store) tells shimmering crazy accounts of protecting castle and keep as well of the record of the centuries of transferring them from one faithful vassal, then being stripped and given to another over a simple sleight.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Just a note to thank you for your work, which I admire as a retired medico of Leeds 1949.

There are others like Hornberger,Tobias and Roppoport, all part of the defense for Freedom in the face of a proposed tyranny.
