A whole horse in the Senate would be an improvement, as it appears we only have the backends at present.

Well that is a perfect explanation of how replacing all the sorry looking senators would be exponentially better than watching idiotic and moronic examples of losers badgering RFK Jr. yesterday at that finance committee hearing. Funny how Warren just ignored his comment about the payoffs she receives from Big Pharma as so many of them do! It’s a joke. If I was RFK Jr. I would have brought a list of all the payoffs those senators get and read it out loud, then walked out by saying this is what you do and since you don’t want to hear me respond to your questions, what’s the point of sitting here anymore. You’re lying ill informed payed off useless people. You don’t care one iota about good healthcare which you’ve made quite obvious to the citizens of this great country here today. This is an orchestrated show as usual. I’m done here.

in Malone's substack my comment was similar:

before he responded to EACH of these morons his opening line should have been to enumerate the amount each has received from Pharma, like the squaw's $895K.

I cannot understand how bribery on the scale seen can possibly be allowed in a nation that considers itself to be the epitome of democracy.

These people are a disgrace to the USA. They remind me of "the scuttlers" scuttling out of the UK Parliament like a nest of roaches when Andrew Bridgen stood to get truth on the record.

Most of these Democrat Senators receive Money from Big Pharma to promote dangerous Drugs or Vaccines. Also, Doctors get paid for how many Vaccines or Drugs they can dish out to their Patients

It's about the MONEY Stupid!

The money is not just for the democrats. They are all getting paid by Pharma. If the next administration is a democratic one, it will be the republicans who will show outrage. The script will flip. Nothing new.

I doubt anything less than full scale revolutionary war would move these entrenched interests. In past like situations the newly empowered ( either by war, or succession or hiding behind curtains) would have conducted a purge of some sort, but these days, sadly, that is impossible. I fear that we have never been less free, more propagandized or more enslaved.

This is why it is so ironic to describe the US as the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

Goethe stated that it is those who consider themselves to be the most free who are the most enslaved.

The media is getting the biggest pay off of them all. It is believed that approx 70% of advertising revenue for the major broadcast networks comes the pharmaceutical industry. There are no network executives who are going to allow any negative reporting for their enslaver.

Maybe Trump should pass a law that puts all media and politicians on an equal footing.... saying:

1) No form of media can allow any advertising from Big pharma/Agri.

2) No medical journals can advertise big pharma/Agri products.

3) No local or national politician, lawyers or judges, can accept "donations" from BigPharma/Agri

4) No mail service can put into mail boxes any BigPharma/agri advertising / junk mail.

5) That BigPharma/Agri can sponsor their own magazines, and deliver them themselves, free for anyone who wants to read them.

That is a good question...There should be some Act passed, where incompetent congressman can be removed instantly. For example, when they vote to send money to foreign countries, this is unconstitutional...and they should not only be fired...they should lose every asset they own to pay for their unconstitutional decision. The Constitution states that taxpayer money is to be used for: Domestic Concerns, Infrastructure and Military to protect American.. not for establishing 180 bases in foreign countries.

Tim Webb's avatar

Kind of circular logic, though.

You are asking that the recipients of pharma largesse vote against receiving it.

You are asking the octogenarian inhabitant of the White House to vote against receiving the money from Adelson that put him where he is.

The US is so broken that only a real revolution, instead of the fake one from 1776, can restore it.

Rosa's avatar

One of the senators mentioned something like "1,000 physicians support vaccines." Got me thinking about a book on "climate change" I read a few years ago. You know: "97% of scientists agree that CO2 is the cause of global warming." The book then explains how that number was derived. Only the summary paragraph of each article was reviewed. If in that paragraph the author did NOT explicitly write that he DISAGREED with the theory, his answer was counted as AGREED, even if in the meat of his article he expressed the opposite.

I suspect something similar regarding the "1,000 physicians." If their ARTICLES failed to SAY "NO PROVEN BENEFIT," their "answers" would fall into the column of "SAFE AND EFFECTIVE."

RFK Jr should ask for all the documentation supporting this claim. I'll bet that the claim could be discredited due to the method(s) used to gather the data. Any physician expressing skepticism was and still is risking his employment and possibly his career. To me, what the Senate did is condoning medical malpractice. We MDs -- I am one -- would go along with the flow rather than risk the consequences of honesty.

EXPOSE THE FALLACIES OF THE DATA. THIS IS WAR.
