Tim Robbins regrets demonizing others
A graceful confession from an outspoken actor

Tim Robbins has always been outspoken about politics in a conspicuously moralizing way. As the COVID-19 policy response quickly became heavily politicized—with a great deal of sanctimonious rhetoric about everyone needing to embrace lockdowns and experimental vaccines as a moral duty—it wasn’t surprising when he jumped on the Hollywood Groupthink-Conformist Bandwagon. In recent years, many of the film industry’s A-listers have seemed more interested in virtue signaling than in making good movies. Perhaps it’s because so many of the great stars are now approaching retirement. Having long ago reached the place they strove for in their youths, they are no longer seeking fame, but redemption.
On October 26, 2022, Robbins gave a long interview with the independent journalist Matt Taibbi in which he expressed regret for demonizing people who questioned the official orthodoxy. As Taibbi put it:
Years later, the Oscar-winning actor known for left-liberal advocacy finds his thinking has shifted in significant ways. In part this is because the entertainment business remains mired in high-vigilance mode when it comes to pandemic restrictions, with an omerta still hovering over vaccine-related questions. Robbins himself was with the program early, which he now seems to regret. “I was guilty of everything that I came to understand was not healthy,” he says now. “I demonized people.”
Hats off to Mr. Robbins for being big and graceful enough to make this confession. Maybe it’s an auspicious sign that a change of sentiment is afoot in Hollywood—a shift from virtue signaling to true virtue, starting with one of the greatest virtues of all—the courage to admit that one was wrong.

I reached out to Tim to offer my appreciation for the courageous display of humility, self-reflection, and course correction he demonstrated. He was kind enough to follow me on Twitter, and I have invited him to participate in an interview to deepen the dialogue. I hope he continues to progress toward full-blown awakening and look forward to playing a role in that journey should he so desire.
This is managed depressurization. Kudos to the individual concerned. I’m implying absolutely nothing about him.
But I sense this isn’t spontaneous. There are numerous signs of “the dam is breaking” to much rejoicing.
Look, I’m happy about this guys rethinking, and about vaccine mandates being struck down.
Neither position should ever have happened based on the facts at the time.
Please be aware that covid19 & vaccines are a battle that’s all but passed now.
We must acknowledge the belated reconsiderations but remain vigilant & focussed on the real threats, the new constraints:
Deliberate shortages of food, fuel, a financial system in perilous condition, war, climate change.
These are highly likely to be mid-used to coerce the population to do more self destructive things.
Of particular note, anything that smacks of digital ID, of CBDCs, of withdrawal of cash must be resisted with all our might & bright lights turned upon them.
Whether fake or real (I think both), they are manufactured by the same group of supranational actors who brought us the fake pandemic & the absurd, frightening “measures” and “vaccines”.
In short, at most we are seeing the end of the beginning, not the beginning of the end, sadly.
Please know we can prevail but only if we remain highly attentive and willing to get active & communicative.
