I must be missing something.

How could sex-traffiking children (for decades) ever be dumbed down to just embarrassing?

The DoJ, IC, national law enforcement, at every level, are BROKEN.

It appears that this extends beyond those who participated in criminal activity to include hundreds if not thousands who remain silent out of fear of profound embarrassment.

I know John Leake thinks with brilliant clarity.

I just had to comment on the shame of correlating "sex trafficking children" and embarrasment.

It's almost like the Book of Revelation was a warning.

Greetings James, sorry I wasn't more clear. I believe that sex trafficking and associated liability are one component of this story that compels silence. A broader component that ALSO compels even broader silence is fear of profound embarrassment from one's mere association with J.E. and email correspondence being revealed.

It could be that it depends on your definition of a child. Is a 16 year old girl a child? She's young but even in the US, she can get married at that age and a significant number of them have sex without marriage. I'm not condoning anything done by Epstein and his "pals" but I can see where it may not be sex-trafficking children.

except that the age of consent in the Virgin Islands is 18 so technically any males having sex with someone younger than that is guilty of some form of rape

What gives you the idea that these girls consented to the situations they were brought into? The victims themselves tell a very different story.

I read "Filthy Rich" which is about Epstein after his first arrest, and the book says that the girls mostly recruited each other from a local high school, and that they loved the money for "massages" and were offered more money to do more things. Some agreed to do more things, some did not and were not called back.

But also, they seem to have been threatened to keep them quiet about it all.

And once in, they were effectively prostitutes, and ashamed of that. I think this psychology was also used on them.

Epstein used blackmail and threats on the girls because Pedos always use threats to keep their young victims silent. How anyone can possibly excuse what this monster did to young girls is beyond me! Two of the victims spoke out during a press conference today (they were sisters). They called the FBI and nothing happened. BTW, Bill Clinton was president at that time.

OK, but she has to report it to law enforcement, right? If a report is done contemporaneously, no argument, there is a case there (in the Virgin island). But what if there is no contemporaneous report then some public statement is made decades later?

Now, let's do this in all 50 states and the remaining territories. I'm curious what the age of consent is everywhere else under US jurisdiction.

Expand full comment
Corrin Strong's avatar

The age of consent is 16 in about half of the United States, it is 17 in about eight states and all the rest are at 18. some states such as Florida have a “Romeo and Juliet“ exception which allows a male to have sex with someone under the age consent as long as he’s not too much older.

The evidence available clearly shows Epstein was a CIA asset. There is no doubt. And then, also in the public record, we see Bill Clinton introducing Epstein to Israeli intelligence. This raises the valid suspicion that he was also a Mossad asset. Epstein was also sponsored, in financial and social circles by the big banks, especially JP Morgan. The media circus that keeps the dog-and-pony show of indiscretion, pedophiles, lax morals going is clearly a diversion. The true crushing "reveal" is not about this guy or that guy. Rather it is the question of whether or not special interests, whether they be globalist elites or foreign nations, controlled our (supposedly) free Constitutional Republic through extortion. Have our lives been controlled by criminal operatives hiding behind the veil of secrecy of national security? That discussion is not going to be front and center with a CIA controlled media.

President Trump does it to the dyed in the wool Dems every time and it draws out the RINO’s both in the Republican Party and the fake MAGA podster’s that don’t care about the country but their little shop of horrors to sell clicks and likes.

The amazing thing is when you know you are right and innocent, all one must do is play along with the foolish liars, give them rope, and they will hang themselves.

A tactic as old as humanity, but the virtue signaling “clever progressive’s” (suburban women watching the hen house show called the “View” on in every doctors office and airport, who’s husbands make $500k plus) are those that elected the likes of Clinton, Obama, and Biden. They just don’t get it because their minds are invested in cheating and hurting those they hate because others see things differently and they just can’t imagine others not being evil minded like themselves.

The Left installed Biden in America’s face intentionally (81 million votes my ass) to say to America, “see you honest fools, we can do whatever we want to do”.

It’s not hypocrisy, it’s hierarchy, they believe they have the power and you don’t, what are you gonna do about it. And lo and behold the American people on November 5, 2024 said: “this is what we are gonna do about it”, and the hens are now mad hatters.

For all those still propagandized by ten years of 24/7 legacy media claiming President Trump is the Orange Ogre I say: Take your TDS meds regularly, the doctor says they work better that way.

President Trumps administration team from DOJ, FBI, HS and every other internal national security agency removed tens of thousands of Pedophile’s, drug dealers, murders, child trafficker rings, cartel members, you name it Trump went to the heart of the problem and dug it out……….. thousand’s of children saved, perhaps tens of thousands and drug death’s from enemy’s within. Is this your house or not?

Take a look at Trump's approval in the highly regarded Rasmussen Poll to see who's been rope-a-doped:

https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/trump_administration_second_term/prez_track_nov17

The head pollster at Rasmussen, Mark Mitchell, was on the Alex Jones Show to discuss the disaster, which both Mitchell and Jones lamented. Mitchell remarked that Trump lost five approval points the day he asked, "You care about Epstein?" I'd speculate he lost a similar fraction by attacking long time allies MTG and Massie. This is a guy (one I voted for all three times) who demands loyalty, returns none. Bet his appearance with Pfizer's Albert Bourla won't turn things around. Maybe a joint appearance with Netanyahu and Zelenskyy to "neutralize" Tucker Carlson, another friend who stuck by Trump when most Republicans fell for the Jan 6 'Fedsurrection" hoax.

;-) Trump is a "player", isn't he? Trump makes deals. Trump's mind is enigmatic, and he provides lots of clues in various directions for people to project onto and into, so they think they "know".

It is fairly clear that he likes to be the boss, but knows how to deal with being pressured and coerced, and how to pressure and coerce others.

I think he got a lot of bargaining-leverage when his assassination did not go as planned on July 13, 2024, a public humiliation for those who attempted it, and they had to deal with him. He remains vulnerable, of course. He has to deal with them, too.

So, I have certain feelings about what Trump would prefer, and I think he is rational, and knows how to jump at opportunity, and I never voted for him, or anybody else who won, since I started voting in 1976, but I remain interested in how history keeps developing.

We are part of it, and not just passive, but it can be hard to see what we can do. We can start vegetable gardening and meditating. It's a process.

Do take a look at these 2 posts, Photojournalism and (just the photos in) Strategic Obstruction from July and August 2024, pulling out information on the patsies of the Trump assassination attempt, Crooks, and the dead-guy-on-the-roof, who does not resemble Crooks:

https://drjohnsblog.substack.com/p/photojournalism

https://drjohnsblog.substack.com/p/strategic-obstruction

We can model Trump as the "gray-champion" of the current "Fourth Truning" in the recurring generational pattern of recent history, where there is a crisis every 4th generation, about every 80 years, and we are well into a 4th turning, with the poly-crises developing. His super-power is that he is so hard to anticipate, so I can only look at what is developing, and project that his actions, constrained as they are, will be rational.

What he is really trying to do is loosen and remove his constraints ahead of big-things-breaking, so that he will have more freedom of action. His overt martial arts style is "Drunken Monkey", but it actually takes a skilled and sophisticated practitioner to perform this.

Trump uses Paradox effectively. Paradox is extremely difficult to use effectively, inducing people to do the opposite of what they think you want, while really acting somewhat against their own interests.

The Iran/Israel war thing in June was apparently like that to some degree.

The overwhelming tides of history now in play are that real-economy has met it's maximum limit of growth, and is bound to decline, and that financial-economy is completely tapped-out in trying to stimulate it by borrowing from a "future" which does not exist, a future of ongoing economic growth.

Huge wars are how our owners, our apex-predator class usually deal with such resets. In the US it has been Revolutionary War, Civil War and Great-Depression/WW-2 so far. Russia had her wars, internal and external, as did China, not quite on our same timeline, but the whole global economy has to deal with this now.

Russia has the most resources per capita, so is in the most favorable position for autarky, sefl-sufficiency. The US is #2. China is not close, so China wants Africa, Australia and Canada for starters.

Trump has to deal with the financial and covert remnants of the British Empire, notably in London's "square mile", European banking, New York, and Israel.

He seeks to not be drawn into triggering a kinetic WW-3, I think. He does act that way repeatedly.

He does not want his power in military and banking/finance/reserve-currency lessened. He wants to use it for pressure, not expend it, and it is not really "his", but under control of other interests with their own views, and coercion is the language spoken between them.

He looks tireder sometimes now, too. He counts on the support of the tech-billionaire technocrats, whose interests are not human-interests, but a very cold and calculating virtual-slavery with individual, algorithmic off-buttons for all subjects.

They have a certain thrust now, but they need more power-sooner to pull off their vision, and they might accellerate the collapse of the physical economy in their rush to this huge increase in electric power and data centers to finalize their global control.

I actually see Musk as the most-human of this bunch, but that is a fairly low bar for "humanity".

What will Trump do? Take away a few constraints first. It is too early to guess. That's why he wants to "make peace", I think. He can't really do deals freely with Russia until the British Imperial interests and Israel have much less leverage on him. They need war to sustain their positions of power now and in the near-future, more war...

Trump's in PANIC mode. He knows he's a lame duck now, and has lost the mid terms short of a miracle with the economy.

He's losing the MAHA crowd since they're not posting any points on the board. Disbanding and recreating the ACIP panel only to have them turn around and reauthorize covid shots and ADDing self amplifying ModRNA shots to the approval list didn't help.

Gaslighting the American populace that prices are down and inflation is under control isn't helping. We all know our wages are still far below current inflation, let alone what already happened in the last 5 years.

Doubling down on the Biden inflation policies with more stimulus checks and permanent debt slavery with 50 year mortgages and 15 year loans.

A completely useless AG and DOJ aren't helping him any.

Backing down and allowing the continued coverup of evidence of the assassination attempts is helping him any.

Chasing out Elon and DOGE and enacting nothing there sure hasn't helped.

Promising the Epstein files then attacking his base for asking for them already permanently turned off many voters.

Backpeddling on the Epstein files after a year of misdirection, failed promises, and attacks isn't going to get him any points. Especially after attacking conservative Rs for asking for them

This is just a Hail Mary as he sees his approvals fall.

And I don't even think that he understands he's not on the ballot ever again, so there's no more cult of personality to help down-ballot republicans not lose.

All his fault for 10 years of endorsing Rinos and entrenched republicans instead of primary candidates that were true MAGA or conservative.

Epstein's New Mexico Ranch was never raided. Whitney Webb's books Exposes it well with thousands of footnotes. Strange that Leslie Wexner of Victoria's Secrets (He gave Epstein his NYC Mansion - the largest private house in Manhattan for $1) was never indicted.
