After the pandemic, why would we think the government does anything FOR us? They're advancing their own interests. Sometimes the interests coincide. But I suspect most of the time they don't.

Even before the pandemic too;-)

WAY before. The pandemic just rubbed it in our face so brazenly that only the willfully ignorant couldn't see it. Lord Acton got it right long ago.

"The danger is not that a particular class is unfit to govern. Every class is unfit to govern." - Lord Acton

Let's share this excellent article as much as possible. We the sane people of the world have the duty to stop the madness of our so called elites.

The documentary titled “Europa the final battle” discloses a lot of of the benefactors & financiers of most early wars.

An esteemed historian, who I have had the pleasure of forging a lifelong friendship with, was hired to critique and fact check the film before it was released, and he, being one of the world‘s top six experts on everything between World War I and World War II, deemed the documentary 99% accurate.

If you watch it, especially the first four hours, you will see how it relates to this article.

It sure does, Jason. The USA, which, along with most "Western" countries has a Zionist-Occupied Government (ZOG), is the world's foremost purveyor of [the racket of] war. And who needs enemies when they have a "friend" like Israel? I live in Australia, which has a "mini ZOG", compared to the USA. At least we don't send 500lb bombs to Israel to drop on people, largely women and children, in Gaza...just "Bushmaster" armoured vehicles to Ukraine to be blasted to hell the moment they get near the front line in another genocidal war started by "The Chosen".

And it was also Butler who blew the whistle on the Wall Street Putsch of 1933-4 where the financial elite asked him and his disgruntled allies to take over our government. Today those elite seem to own more of the government as well as the military.

Totally agree on your take on Gates. He is opening up the three-mile nuclear power plant to power Microsoft AI. Smart move actually, but he is known for smart business moves. War is hell, unfortunately, defense is necessary and costs lives for those invaded. If nonviolent resistance could be practiced and win out, as it did with Gandhi, it would be the best route.

With respect to drug interdiction, it seems logistically easier to stop shipments on departure from a small area rather than at innumerable possible end points in a very large area. I guess one can question if we should be doing drug interdiction at all, or if there is some arcane way that drug interdiction advances some other nefarious government goal; however, as a physician, I've seen enough mayhem caused by drugs in our country that I find stopping the flow at or near its source to be the best solution to a difficult problem.

Economics has always been a factor. Maybe not the main or deciding factor but a factor. See Egypt and its' wars with the Hittites and Libyans under Ramses The Great. Or its relations with Punt and Nubia. Japan went to war with China for economic reasons. Hitler went to war with Russia for control it its' oil and grain. There were other reasons but economics played a par. The Roman Empire went to war for gold, silver, slaves and everything and anything else they could grab. Empires have always wanted control of either resources or the trade routes of those resources. Read about the Zulus in Africa. It isn't new and it's not a distinctly American or Western outlook. It's not even a human thing. Lions fight over territory, as do chimps and monkeys. So do birds. The only surprising thing is anyone finds this surprising or unusual.

Meanwhile European leaders are ratcheting up the war talk. On Nov. 20th, France's top general warned that the country must be ready to "lose its children" against the absurd accusations of the threat posed by Russia. We know there is big money in war.

Furthermore, how many politicians, when talking about climate change, ever mention the staggering amount of fossil fuels required to fuel a war ... the mining of raw materials, the industries producing the weapons, the fuels needed to operate the war machines ... A few years ago in our local community, an environmentally aware politician spoke about the need to stop a proposed pipeline, and my husband approached her after her speech to explain that no wars could ever be fought using renewable energy, an observation that had never crossed her mind. Will we ever be able to stop the war mentality?

Sad to say, what you have written is the total truth. War is for the benefit of those who are looking to increase their assets.

I have no problem stopping the importation of people debilitating drugs if it will save a few thousand citizens from ruining their lives. I had a customer who brought me a job that he had originally given to a former college acquaintance. The customer told me he was hooked on cocaine. I immediately looked up the acquaintance and left a message telling him to get off the sh_t or his business would be going down the drain. He left a message for me admitting that cocaine had already ruined his marriage and yes he would deal with it. Since then from reading a trade magazine he now writes an article for he seems to have reformed. Too many lives have been ruined by drugs including prescription drugs. Everything I see Trump doing seems to be for the betterment of American lives. I think Trump is trying to secure his place in History as one of the great American Presidents. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Remember, those drug runners only understand force. You cannot negotiate with them.

It's also the case though, that where there's a demand, there will be a supply. The whole other part of this is getting Americans to stop taking drugs. I was an ER Dr in a big public hospital. Almost all my patients were young, mostly male, they did not work, only sucked off the taxpayers, and they made themselves sick with smoking, booze, drugs, violence and bad sex decisions. Almost all were "on Medicaid" and the hospital did not get "reimbursed" enough to cover the cost of their care, so it went broke and closed. St Louis, MO.

I agree with your sentiments about President Trump. What troubles me is his unwavering support of Israel even though he ran on America First. His first term was notable to me because he paid for everything himself as he campaigned so there was no obligation to huge donors that I knew of. This time Mrs. Adelson's donation seems to be unnecessary but he accepted it. Is this why he is doing these other things instead of all of it being for America First ?

Leslie M's avatar

He can be both America First and support Israel.

Of course, we have known that dynamic for some time. All one has to do is visit Central America to see it in action. (Like the time Standard Fruit called me and my friends in for a little lecture on the importance of staying out of their business while we were in Honduras.) BUT, unfortunately, you are shilling for the wrong team. You are putting out the CIA talking points intended to bring down Trump who is ending their little wars. You are mimicking the talking points of those financial interests that want Trump to stop making peace and stop ending wars. The Devil wily and deceptive. And oh so compassionate. NOT.

Venezuela is not about the oil. You are no Smedley and you're not making sense.

Cathleen Manny's avatar

Hmm. Time will tell. And, none of the Middle East wars have been about oil?

No Body's avatar

More about the Suez Canal, I think. At least currently, we don't need that oil.
