Some good points, but Iran has been telling us their intentions for a long time, and they have been getting closer to being able to carry them out. Does anyone think they'll call us ten minutes ahead of time, and say "We're about to drop a nuclear bomb on you, just so you know?" They have used proxies to kill. Islam has drowned the world in blood for 1400 years, and the Shias think that when they destroy enough, the "Mahdi" will appear and reign. Look up 9-11-1565, Malta; 9-11-1683, Vienna; 9-11-1697, Battle of Zenta. Oct 7 2023 was the 452nd anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto, which they lost. These are just a few. Their koran tells them to fight, to slay. They call us unbelievers. Allah was a pagan Arab idol.
Islam is not a religion. It is the cult of Mohammad; a totalitarian ideology. They have been terrorists since the 7th century, DM.
Christianity is not a religion. It is the cult of Jesus; a totalitarian ideology. Christians have been terrorists since the 1st century.
See how that works? If it's not YOUR religion, you get to call it a "cult". If it's not YOUR religion, you get to call the participants of that religion terrorists.
Christianity and Islam are both religions. You may not like that, but your calling Islam a cult doesn't change the fact that it's a religion.
Islam is the only so-called religion that officially preaches stuff like Sura 9:5 "Slay the infidels wherever you find them. Chop their necks..." We've seen it for 1400 years. What did their "prophet" ever prophecy? Tell me. But he robbed, raped, murdered, conquered by the sword.
have you actually read the Bible? Jewish religion is the bloodiest of them all. 75,000 Persians killed and they celebrate that every year with the holiday Purim. What kind of "god" were the Jews worshipping? One who is a jealous god, one to tells them to kill every man, woman, and child, and even the sheep and goats. There are scholars, even Jewish scholars who believe the Jews were not worshipping the one true god, they were worshipping a war god or a storm god. Humanity went off the rails with the Abrahamic religions. All 3 of them are violent.
Yes, there are sects within Islam that are violent. How many know about the Hindu holocaust, more than 20 million Hindus killed during the Turkic invasions. But Christianity is not free from blame either. How many Christians know that Charlemagne Christianized France with the sword? How many know how Norway was Christianized, that the Christians went from house to house, killing everyone in the household until the ones who were not dead yet agreed to be baptized?
There are violent people in all 3 of these religions. That violence is a stain upon humanity, but the adherents of each of those religions would say that it does not negate their religion.
One of my teachers used to remark, "Killing people in the name of religion!" and then just shake his head.
Go take a hike in Pima Canyon. It's lovely. Hopefully you won't encounter any Jews or Christians. And Abraham was long gone before 624 when Mohammad hallucinated his fever dream.
There is NOTHING in the New Testament except to love God and love your neighbor as yourself. To do good to those who hate you. To do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
The koran is arranged by length of the Suras, but if you take the early ones, written when Mo was in Mecca begging people to join his new cult, yeah, they have some sweetness and light. Then, when he had the fight with his tribe and fled to Medinah, their koran is filled with exhortations to fight and to kill.
Yes. The OT is filled with the call to violence and tribal power. And the inclusion of the OT in the Christian Bible presents a challenge. Christians must use caution when it comes to the OT. Some, for example, Marcion, were very cautious and called for a compare and contrast exercise, asking whether the OT and NT Gods were the same. He concluded they were not. His example at least suggests caution is needed.
Islam is a military campaign operating as a religion cribbed from Jewish and Christian sources. It's not a religion. Its 20th century ties to German Socialism and Marxism--still at play when you observe Mamdani-- just underline its murderous and worldwide aspirations of dominance. Not through gentle teachings, but through forced conversion.
Your ignorance is astounding. pimaCanyon. Christianity is the study of the truth of everything. It is misdefined as "a religion", if I may. There are many religions, most of which are not based upon truth, but are in fact idol worship. Allah is "the Lord of the flies". Baal Zebub. The Hebrew word for 'Arabian' is the same word for "flies". Even the Israeli kings were destroyed by God for falling into the habit of worshipping the false god, Baal, and Mohammed was not a man of truth or virtue, having mixed his own version of all out war with elements of Christian history to create his own "religion".
Islam is a political construct and ideology being presented as a "religion", in all of it's glory, designed for one purpose... domination of all other people, by force. Submit or die.
God is not mocked. Judgement is indeed coming, for all to be inquired of, by the true God. The wrath of God is upon all those who love not the truth. All are held accountable for every word. Pick a side, pimaCanyon. Justifying Islam is plainly wrong.
Ah, no, simply calling it a cult does not do the job. One has to look at the history and the ideology. And then one finds Islam does not meet the common view of a religion. However, it must be applauded as a darn good attempt to imitate religions as a tool for obtaining power.
Here is a central question in my mind to all of the objection to what President Trump and Israel have done. What was the alternative? We have spent 47 years trying to settle the problem of Iran peacefully and what has it accomplished? Do you know the expression of being between the shit and the fart? This is where I believe President Trump found himself and decided that enough was enough. I don't dispute any of the atrocities pointed out by John Leake who is, in my opinion, a very well read and accomplished writer but I still ask, what was the alternative? 47 more years of useless detente while Iran continues to lie and develop an ever-expanding arsenal of weapons? I cannot help but draw a parallel to Neville Chamberlain and his negotiations with Hitler and his optimism that he had struck a deal with that devil. How did that work out? Just saying!!!
It'snot...... good points, I'll ride your coattails...
I mentioned late in the string - Iranian negotiators, on their first day with Witkoff, said right out of the gate; They had a stash of enriched uranium & they'll have 11 nukes.
Boom. Hemming and hawing can now end. They threatened us. Most of them are dead now. More will die, as they flail away trying to hang on to their power.
Iran threatened us. Period, end of story... MSM fake news likely hasn't covered - I must have seen him interviewed on FOX.
Iranian citizens want this to come down. Duck and cover for now.... the ho bag regime killed ~32,000 protestors citizens... they've had it with their RELIGIOUSkillerCULT. So have most of us.
The alternative is to keep repeating exactly what has been done very successfully for 47 years - negotiating and applying sanctions to make sure the Iranians don’t develop nuclear weapons;
Also how is it that Israel is allowed to acquire nuclear weapons with complete impunity?
Bottom line- impatience with a regime that doesn’t share your own religious beliefs is not a justification for any President to unilaterally wage war in defiance of the Constitution…
I think you might be missing the point of what I’m trying to say. I am not comparing Saddam
or the Ayatollah to Hitler. All of them are evil people. To what degree they are evil is up to individual interpretations by different people. What I’m trying to say is that you can’t negotiate with evil. Neville Chamberlain tried to negotiate with Hitler in good faith, except Hitler wasn’t negotiating in good faith, and I believe people have tried to negotiate with the ayatollah in good faith, but he he didn’t act in good faith. He was tied to a radical ideology that prohibited him from recognizing any other people, but the Muslim people. This is obviously a very polarizing issue for all of us. I don’t have any idea how this is going to end and I don’t think anybody else has any idea how it’s going to end. I can only pray that the people of Iran will be able to form a government of moderate people and move forward and try to find peace in the Middle East. I certainly don’t want to see us embroiled in an endless war. The mistake was going into the Middle East way back when during the Bush administration under false pretenses and I agree with you that was bullshit.
Iran decided to NOT develop a nuclear weapon because nuclear weapons kill indiscriminately, they kill mostly non-combatants, women and children. The leaders in Iran, especially the religious leader who we assassinated, felt that it would be unethical of them to develop a nuclear weapon. Can you imagine that? Leaders of a country deciding to not develop of weapon of mass destruction because it would go against their ethics! Hard to fathom, I know, because leaders of the US and Israel have no ethics, no integrity. They carpet bomb indiscriminately and brag about it, how now the US can rain down death and destruction on Iran. Why didn't Hegseth rip off his shirt and beat his chest when he said that?
Seriously? You’re defending the guy that murdered 30,000 of his own people for protesting? You’re defending the guy that made it a literal death sentence for women to wear their hijab ‘wrong’? You’re defending the guy that thinks 9 year old little girls are adult women & can be sold to men as ‘brides’ to be raped and beaten indiscriminately? That’s just atrocities against his own people, doesn’t include ‘infidels’ or his ‘Death to America’ actions. This is the ‘ethical’ leader you’re defending?
and who told you about the 30,000? Western media of course. The same media that told us all the covid lies, the same media that spewed the lies of Russiagate, the lies of the Syrian gas attacks, the lies of 911. Ditto for all the other propaganda about this leader. Who to believe, the lying Western media? The Iranian media? How Israel media, you probably go with them right?
I go with Iranians that fled their country after suffering the atrocities of this ‘ethical’ leader you’re defending. If all media is biased, how do you get your news? Or is it just ‘enemies of Iran’ media that lies. The ‘ethical’ Iranian leader controlled media would NEVER lie about his own atrocities would they? They’re are pure as the driven snow, I’m sure.
BTW The Muslim holy book Quran/Koran literally states that infidels should be put to the sword. Laws enacted by the ‘ethical leader’ allow for the ‘marriage’ and sexual abuse of 9 year old little girls as long as the channel between their vaginal & rectal canals is not obliterated. It’s in black & white of their own holy book & laws. So, please tell me how these are Western lies…
While not condoning or excusing these acts, we must not think that we are that different or better. Just the methods are different and covert and always for an alleged really good purpose or reason. Think vaccines and deadly medicines, or silently raining death on us via geoengineering while destroying the entire web of life, or silently eroding every liberty once fought for with "emergency" measures, think 1000 nuclear tests on our own soil and in the atmosphere, think actually dropping 2 nuclear bombs, think harm from 5G and now 6G... . Also think how we go around the globe secretly (and now not so secretly any more) destabilizing countries, taking their resources and forever indebting the people. We get them to force-vaccinate their people, so we can conduct AIDS and other studies. We get them to use patented, genetically modified seeds and all that comes with it. We take their water and sell it bottled over here. Not saying that all was government sponsored or is still continuing (e.g., India threw Monsanto back out), but still: "Oh yes, we are saints and sleep well at night thinking so." We have a lot to reckon with and have much to do or omit to clean our own door step. I hope there is still time to do so.
oh and by the way, I'm not defending anyone. The only thing I'm "defending" is the decision to not develop a nuke.
Obviously, if any of those things you said about him are true, then he would not be someone I'd choose to defend. But I can defend his decision to not develop a nuke.
And also obviously, let's take the killing of 30,000 of his own people and assume that that's true. How would that justify OUR killing 30,000 more of his people with our carpet bombing? Or 60,000? Or one million like we did in Iraq?
Persia was conquered by Arab Muslims in the 7th century AD. In the 20th and 21st century, Islam has killed men women children by bombs, guns, machetes, indiscriminately. It's a death sentence to be a homosexual, to uncover one's hair in Iran if one is a woman, to leave islam, to criticize Mohammad-death sentences - and anyone can carry it out-no need for a court. It's been going on for 1400 years. If people did not notice it, that's because Islam produces almost nothing, and when the Ottomans leading Islam fell apart in WW 1, they had nothing to carry on their jihad until Westerners developed their oil so they got Petrodollars and took up the jihad again.
You mean the guys who organized and supplied the attack on the music festival and villages in Israel on 10/7/23? The rapists, murderers and kidnappers? The guys who are indiscriminately firing drones at hotels across the Persian Gulf?
Lots of Jewish people were killed that day by the Jewish military. And you can't tell me they were surprised by that attack. They knew about it and let it happen. To give them the excuse they needed to carpet bomb Gaza.
They had had Gaza surrounded for nearly 20 years, no one could leave. They monitored what went into Gaza. Israeli leaders and military referred to Gaza as the an open air prison. And they bombed it from time to time, referring to those bombings as "mowing the lawn".
The people of Gaza were being illegally held as prisoners.
Oh, and there were no rapes another lie told by the Israeli's and parroted by their stooges in Western media.
Even if you believe the media and go, the rapes, the rapes!!! Okay, so how does that justify killing 300,000 people who had nothing to do with the rapes? But they voted for Hamas, you say. For every two people who voted for Hamas, there was one who did not. But that person has to die anyway, right? None of the children voted for Hamas, but they have to die anyway.
But the poor Israeli's, always painting themselves as the victims. And don't ever forget the Holocaust!
Don’t forget the State of Israel emerged out of the Israeli terrorist group Irgun, responsible for the King David Hotel bombing, among many others - way before the UN illegitimately recognised the State of Israel…
Your argument assumes that Iran's Shi'a Muslim theocracy NEVER lie!
Be very thankful that you live in a country that allows you to spew such trash without sending the IRG to terminate your miserable existence. The present theocratic “Shi'a Republic” of Iran, (representing less than 30% of Iran's population), would have cut off all of your Internet access years ago prior to your public beheading on TV for commenting anything that could be interpreted as anti-government.
While Christians may have a history of mistaken repressions, (al la Friday the 13th., the Inquisition, the Salem witch trails, etc.), they have since come to their senses and significantly modified their positions and treatments of, and behaviors toward, non-Christians.
On the other hand, Shi'a Muslims, believe it is Allah's will to KILL ALL NON- BELIEVERS. (Especially those in Israel & the USA (but also (don't forget) non-Shi'a (Sunni Muslims, et.al.)!). Thus, it is not unreasonable that upon achieving the capability of producing and delivering a nuclear weapon, they would use same with abandon. Unlike the present nuclear powers, that realize that such an action would end human civilization as we know it, they would rather welcome such a result believing that they would all be welcomed into paradise.
Peaceful nuclear endeavors do not require stockpiles of uranium concentrated higher than 5% (10% max). It doesn't take a math genius to conclude that stockpiles of 65%+ uranium don't support peaceful intentions. Your ignorance and prejudiced drivel exhibit a grave and biased dearth of factual knowledge. The central meeting of the heads of the theocratic monstrosity, presented a very rare target of opportunity. It is now up to the people of Iran to utilize this opportunity to form and install a government that will utilize their abundant resources for the prosperity of all of their citizenry.
Do some real homework, look at the real facts, and join the 21st century!!!
I’m pretty sure bombing specific military and even economic targets, warning civilians before doing so, & using precision strikes is NOT carpet bombing. Moving military operations into civilian areas, schools, and hospitals is what Iran does. Iran is the one that started indiscriminately bombing their neighbors that were not affiliated with the US or Israelis. Bombing countries without a dog in the fight would be more similar to carpet bombing. Look, personally, I wish the US would just focus on the US. I get that we aren’t a completely self-sustaining country, but I wish we spent more time making ourself self-sustaining rather than policing everyone else. However, when one of our allies (Israel) develops a plan to attack their enemy and it will also further American interests, I see why that would at least be tempting.
Pardon me if I’m skeptical about the Ayatollah’s fatwa against nuclear weapons because they are immoral or so he says. Then why, if he is so passionate about the evil of nuclear weapons, didn’t he simply sign an agreement to stop enriching uranium and open “all” of the nuclear facilities to unannounced inspections. Why hide nuclear facilities and drag your heels during negotiations? Why fund terror groups and chant death to the little satan and the great satan. Does this sound like a person with a deep moral conviction against killing? So it is okay to kill with conventional weapons and IED’s but we draw the line with nuclear weapons because they are immoral? Dead is dead no matter how it happens and, in my mind, semantic arguments over what weapons constitute an immoral act is pure double talk. As l said this is a very polarizing issue so we just have to agree to disagree.
Lets be crystal clear. These radical Islamists have been killing our soldiers for over 47 years. They need to be eradicated, full stop. Also, you either trust of CiC or you don't. He has been talking about endless wars for many years. His actions to date are all about peace and decisive military actions, not "wars". So maybe stop all your shillings and reeeeing and let this play out.
Where have the "radical Islamists" been killing your soldiers for over 47 years? And why do you say that they "need to be eradicated"?
Where were your soldiers when you allege that they were killed? In someone else's country, against their protests? Against the will of the people of that country? Then they were invaders; occupiers. And they deserved to be killed.
Russian Prince Alexander Nevsky declared that "Those who come to us in peace will be welcome as a guest. But those who come to us sword in hand will die by the sword!"
The citizens of most countries would agree. So if you want your soldiers to be safe, keep them at home where they belong and don't send them out to attack and kill foreigners.
Even if you ignored the thousand of our soldiers "in other countries," you'd still have thr American civilians in Israel, OYR ALLY, that were killed. You STILL HAVE the Iranian threat against oyr President, you still have the imminent threat of a nuclear attack on American soil by their own mouths.
So what, you think we just sit back and wait for that to occur first?
I would like to see sources for any of that. To my knowledge, Iran has always been peaceable except when attacked - as at present. I assume no one will expect honourable, self-respecting people to be attacked - their leader murdered, over 150 little girls murdered - without fighting back.
I submit that American civilians in Palestine would be safe, if the Zionists who set up the "state" of "Israel" had not murdered tens of thousands of Palestinians in order to steal their land and property.
Thus the Americans to whom you refer are the guests of murderous robbers who are residing on land stolen by murder from its true owners. Unwise.
If Iranians have uttered threats against Mr Trump, it will have been only in retaliation for his acts of violence and murder against them. Americans murdered Ayatollah Khamenei and most of the Iranian leaders - and you are worried about some verbal threats?
Talk of a nuclear attack are nonsense, as the USA's own intelligence agencies have recently reported that Iran not only has no nuclear weapons, but is not even working to get them.
Talk is cheap as our cic knows and consistently says one thing and does the other. F*** him, F*** the zionists, especially the evil incarnate Netanyahu. Willing to take out a country for zion? Suit up hoss and hop a flight. They'll welcome American cannon fodder.
You need to get your topics of conversation in line. Radical Islam is what the topic is currently. Israel is whole other rabbit hole and yes, they need to be dealt with...
Radical? Staying on point? Brzezinski training Mujahadin? You really need to take a deep breath and absolutely do some more research. I dont have time for people who dont have the correct facts.
Trading With the Enemies Act. How many of John's readers know that Prescott Bush, patriarch of two presidents, had his bank taken over by the US when it was discovered he was serving as "Hitler's Banker?" In 1943, two years into the war for the US. Meaning the Bush family profited directly from the bullets and bombs used to kill American GI's.
Was given his banks back with the help of the Dulles Brothers, friends of Bushies.
Or that Dulles' CIA brought George HW Bush in as Ft Worth station head, curiously timed in 1963 when JFK made his fateful visit to Dallas a few miles away.
Or that GHWB was the UN Ambassador who made the official pivot from Nationalists in Taiwan to Communists in Peking? Or that GHWB was the first US Ambassador to CCP China?
Or that in death GHWB was given state funeral ceremony memorial status when he died, CCP China calling him "China's best friend ever in the White House?" After rewarding China following their brutal crackdown on protestors in the Tiananmen Square Massacre with Most Favored Nation status. Hollowing out the industrial capacity of the US.
And don't get me going on Shrub, 911, Patriot Act, Anthrax bioweapon national security infrastructure set in place.
Yes. Profiting from all sides of wars has been a long tradition of politicians.
Stalin was right when he offered that the capitalists would sell the rope that is used to hang them.
Review the Commander In-Chief Clause. Also, a president has 90 days to finish strike missions. Highly classified security missions, are not announced to Congress, for obvious reasons. Politically driven announcing to the world. That’s why we have a Gang of 8 to notify, representing both political parties, with highest security clearance. Just prior to 90 days, the president and military must go to Congress where it’s classified as a war or not, and funded if approved.
John! My man! I was am just about to touch on this topic. What’s occurring now is that people are following the narrative of trump but not seeing what’s occurring and that’s what I’ll be touching on shortly.
How about listing all the atrocities Islam has perpetrated all over the world in its interest of extending its caliphate? As has done historically. How they fight endlessly amongst themselves, how they massacre christians and jews... they didn't have the excuse of the americans for that.
I have to confess to being biased. I am English. Terrorist attacks apart, knifings and murder and rape apart, the Muslim community is subverting elections with block voting and threats. Hundreds are on local councils. There are five independents in Parliament. They are teaching our kids to pray to Allah, they demand Halal meat and it is now served in restaurants, schools and hospitals, and sold in supermarkets unlabelled. They practice first cousin marriages and the NHS is weighed under by defective births. They try to impose speech censorship under the name of islamophobia. They are breeding like flies and in a few decades will have rendered us a minority in our own country. The Muslim Brotherhood and IRGC cells are flourishing in our land, a land taken oven by Mosques. Their headquarters are in Iran, so sorry to the Trump haters but I hope he can help kill the serpent's head. The whole Western world would be safer.
What England is going through--and I am sorry you are experiencing it-- should be a clear signal that Islam and its adherents do not belong swamping Western nations.
Islamophobia should be the default position--all it takes is a look at recent history, and the words these people utter.
Your mention of first cousin marriages and the damage seen by the NHS should serve as a warning to all nations. We have a population of severely consanguineous people here in the US--the Somalis. Average IQ is reported to be 68, but they have been clever enough to be part of the largest fraud perpetrated against the American taxpayer in our history, of which Democrat politicians appear to be complicit.
Listen to the account of Steven Charles Witkoff, negotiator for the USA with Iran. It is evident that Iran had in its possession enough Uranium to manufacture 11 bombs and that they had every intention of doing so.
Agreed and the ultimate goal was to own nuclear bombs for sovereignty against US/UK/Israeli/London Banker/Globalist imperialism they’ve been dealing with since we ousted Mosadeggeh in 1953. See Ukraine vs Russian War for a further example and details.
65% as all they had. Listen to the IAEA inspectors who say so. Also enriched to thislevel cannot be used for bombs. And it takes a great deal more effort to get to weapons grade and functional use
In a 2004 interview, academic Mahomood Mamdani (the father of New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani) explained how US actions nurtured the terrorism that plagues the world today.
Terrorism, he said, was not a result of Islamic ideology, but concrete actions taken by the US national security state to work with and develop radical forces around the world that would do their bidding.
Mr. Leake has lost the plot if he refuses to engage with the threat that Iran poses to the US. I'm a far, far cry from MAGA, but the regime that has chanted "Death to America" for a millennium becomes an existential threat to us if they become a nuclear power. And destroying them is a nice blow to China to boot. I fully support taking out their ability to wage war on us and Israel - and whoever takes power next can hardly be worse than the despot that was just assassinated. And it's nice knowing he will have a target on his back as well. As a woman, I would like to see Iranian women have at least a fraction of the freedoms I enjoy in America; much of the cheering you have seen is genuine, and deserved.
This academic discussion is appropriate and necessary. However, all the words printed here and across the US mean little or nothing to the US military man or woman at the tip of the spear. It is their lives on the line. It is their blood possibly being spilt.
They have a job to do. Like it or not. It's what we trained them for. It's what they took an oath to uphold. That job is to defend each other, their unit and their mission. By extension you and this country.
Denigrating their commander in chief and those passing down their orders does not help anyone but the opposition.
I'm 80 years old and was in Vietnam. At the end of that war I was part of the military airlift to take as many mother's and babies out of Saigon as possible before the fall. I assure you, politics didn't enter our heads. Keeping those in our charge safe and completing the mission was our goal. That was 1975. In 1969 II was a Staff Sergeant dressed in my Class A's and ready to be home from the war. I landed at SF International Airport in November of 69. I expected something other than what I got. You know the rest.
Remember, words have effects.
Think of the one or two striper out there who hears what you say. Does it make his day any easier?
Ideally before you raise your hand and take the Oath. It is difficult for many to understand what that oath means. It comes with a whole new set of do's and don'ts. It's called the UCMJ the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The Constitution of the United States is what the military member who has taken the Oath is sworn to defend. It isn't something that the member necessarily is able to 'live' by. Many of the Bill of Rights do not apply to active military. They defend. Strange but true. Most people have no idea that as active military that dichotomy exists. The time for philosophical discussion and self-reflection is 'before' you become an active member of the armed forces.
I hear you and totally respect your.view. Still, as one who grew up in post war Germany, we were taught and have learned (from the trials in Nuernberg) that we shall never carry out orders blindly. We shall never leave our own co science behind. . Not sure if this applies here.
You are absolutely right. You have the right to question an unlawful order under the UCMJ. You however do not have the right to disobey a direct order. You can be shot for doing such a thing in the field. Mutiny is a crime. Just imagine if your military were to pick and choose which orders to follow and which to not.
Personally, in 26 years of military service I have only had one occasion in which I questioned what my mission was. When I found out that what we were doing was something that went against my moral compass I quit my job and was transferred to another. My promotions were of course compromised, and I suffered in that way, it was however worth it in my view.
My hat is off to you for your honest struggle and ultimate integrity. I was in a similar situation once, as a health care worker in an agency which dema did rigorous compliance. I was proud of my agency, until the day came and I had to make an ethical decision. I, too, paid a price.
While I am aware of most of your examples of the truly evil acts in the past I disagree with the premise that paints the present situation as a current manifestation of the same. The stated goals of this conflict are limited, discreet and well defined. Iran has been waging war on the West for decades. Their leaderships whole reason for existence was to do so. Religious extremism developing ICBM capabilities, nuclear warheads and slaughtering tens of thousands of its own repressed people have posed a real and at some point an irreversible threat. At what point do we allow this leadership with its decades of clear agenda to become a TRULY IMMINENT threat? I think trepidation, angst over outcome and human cost and an eye toward constitutional issues are valid issues. Balancing that are complex real world imperfect choices of strategic, operational and tactical natures....as always.
Our most evil deeds are not in the past at all. Think of global and very toxic climate engineering and creating climate chaos and catastrophes. It is a weapon of war, even against our own people! How loudly Iran has.complained about our stealing of RAIN, on the UN floor! And. As a Christian, I am obliged to remove the beam from my own eye before accusing others. We should wonder just why it is that they hate us so much. And no, I don't think it's because many of us are Christians. Perhaps it's because we only call ourselves that but don't truly practice it.
An awesome job of listing points that most are ignorant of. It's worth adding that even if it were true that the War Powers Act purported to give the executive the authority to declare wars on his own, Congress does not have the authority to change the Constitution through legislation. Any amendment to transfer war-declaration powers to the executive would require a minimum 2/3 vote in both the House and Senate, and then ratification by a minimum of 3/4 of the States.
There are so many things here that you are missing it’s hard to believe a rational person would think that you support Democrats and their quest to remove PRESIDENT TRUMP FROM OFFICE !
Obviously, the United States of Israel has been fueling every “war” by playing both sides since my entire lifetime. That’s the military industrial complex’s purpose. Fund one side while we are at war from the other side. It’s essentially as if we’re at war with ourselves. Obama made this painfully obvious. That’s how the government gets rich from war. They always provide the “solution” while creating the problem that benefits them. Covid anyone?
This article assumes that we have a legitimate separation of powers or an actual government by the people for the people. Hint: they’re all in on it. DC is just a giant stage and it’s all theatre to entertain and distract from reality. Matrix anyone?
They have been terrorists since the 7th century, DM.
oh, and your last paragraph could read like this:
If the Christianity is not a religion, why this:

The alternative is to keep repeating exactly what has been done very successfully for 47 years - negotiating and applying sanctions to make sure the Iranians don’t develop nuclear weapons;
Also how is it that Israel is allowed to acquire nuclear weapons with complete impunity?
Bottom line- impatience with a regime that doesn’t share your own religious beliefs is not a justification for any President to unilaterally wage war in defiance of the Constitution…
…and it is frankly alarming that you feel it is…
oh please, always the Hitler analogy. They used that for Saddam, how did that work out?
How would you describe, a cultkillerreligious leader that ordered 32,000 of his own citizens to be murdered?
Guess it's all about scale. 32k is a big enough to get into the top 20 ho bags of all time....32k a big number, imo.
You missed the entire point of the reference.
Don't forget the secret Iranian police were raping the women who wore their hajib incorrectly, then killing them.
and who told you about the 30,000?
One word regarding the Ayatollah. Taqiyyah.
Here’s a notice that Iran refuses to comply with women’s/girl’s rights in the UN. https://impactiran.org/2024/12/02/upr2025-women-and-girls-rights-in-the-islamic-republic-of-iran/
Not Western lies, but findings from the ‘unbiased’ UN of which Iran is a member.
great post.
I will second that one.
You truly are naive about radical Islam... bet you never served your country either.
Yours must have been a gross disservice.
What reputable source says all those schoolgirls were killed? I thought that was unproven propaganda. Thank you.
It certainly is simple and obvious. So it's a pity it is being ignored.
Fwiw the War Powers Act has never been held to be Constitutional. It is not The Law. It is a sentiment.
Kind of like how the Nuremberg Code has never been officially adopted. It's a sentiment.
All these nice notions of restraint on authority that don't amount to more than sentiments. Just sayin'.
Talk is cheap as our cic knows and consistently says one thing and does the other. F*** him, F*** the zionists, especially the evil incarnate Netanyahu. Willing to take out a country for zion? Suit up hoss and hop a flight. They'll welcome American cannon fodder.
There's professional help and therapy for your TDS. Its been proven to be a mental disorder. Good luck!
Eejit…
"Let this play out." Did you say "Let this play out"?
Do you mean "Let's get the people who did 9/11' -- for once and for all"?
Israel - the same culprits - did 9/11.
You need to get your topics of conversation in line. Radical Islam is what the topic is currently. Israel is whole other rabbit hole and yes, they need to be dealt with...
Radical schmadical.
Brzezinski trained the Mujahadin, did he not?
and what do you mean by my topics of conversation?
Radical? Staying on point? Brzezinski training Mujahadin? You really need to take a deep breath and absolutely do some more research. I dont have time for people who dont have the correct facts.
No point staying "on point" if it's the wrong point.
I guess you are comfortable with the 19-hijacker thing.
Go find another thread. Or join X...bye!
To show how horrible war is, I recently wrote on how those who do serve regret serving. I discuss that here: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/how-saying-thank-you-for-your-service
But you’re spot on: whether satan is real or not, what we’re experiencing is a satanic reality, also I discuss that in a podcast here: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/are-we-under-satanic-attack
Great work! You and I are definitely aligned here. Great callout on Israel as well!
Greetings Franklin, yes, it does appear that old diabolos is in charge. Most people fail to understand this until it's too late
How about listing all the atrocities Islam has perpetrated all over the world in its interest of extending its caliphate? As has done historically. How they fight endlessly amongst themselves, how they massacre christians and jews... they didn't have the excuse of the americans for that.
You shut up, Victoria! Criticism of Islam has no place here! This board is about the evil the US perpetrates, and don't forget "Joos".
Nay, I seek not to criticise Islam, merely to point out the truth.
The truth about Islam is enough of a criticism, isn't it?
The USA will take down the Globalist empire, but unlike Jihadists and NAZIS, will not impose a replacement tyranny.
S Witkoff a nuke expert?
65% as all they had. Listen to the IAEA inspectors who say so. Also enriched to thislevel cannot be used for bombs. And it takes a great deal more effort to get to weapons grade and functional use
He didn't have to be an expert. They boasted about it.
In a 2004 interview, academic Mahomood Mamdani (the father of New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani) explained how US actions nurtured the terrorism that plagues the world today.
Terrorism, he said, was not a result of Islamic ideology, but concrete actions taken by the US national security state to work with and develop radical forces around the world that would do their bidding.
https://t.me/mintpress_news/11970
The largest groups of terrorists in the world are the Knesset and its allies in Washington DC
Indeed. This a position Hollywood, Marxists and the Islamists spew constantly.
Then let them fight for it.
You have just expressed the rational. You're sane.
That's all I have to say.
Thanks
I understand your reasoning. Yet when is finally the right time for an honest philosophical discussion and reckoning with ourselves?
3x like
While I am aware of most of your examples of the truly evil acts in the past I disagree with the premise that paints the present situation as a current manifestation of the same.
They have attacked us over and over since 1979.
Fair points.
The bullets are live.
The killings are real.
Nuclear capability is an issue.
Threat of attack is real. Iran bragged about getting 11 nukes made, to Witkoff on their first day of negotiations. They're toast.
Diabolos is indeed a shape-shifter, now seen laughing with delight at recent chaos, death and destruction.
“Blessed are the peacemakers”, not the warmongers.
