Scary how films seem to become reality. I have friends who live in Australia. Right now they are at their vacation home on kangaroo island. He was a sailor on merchant ships. He can fix anything. There they have fish, sheep , solar power, abundant wood and a water catchment system. So if you must live off grid in an apocalyptic world, that is the place to be.

I live in rural Australia.

Fortunately off grid.

John, you are absolutely correct in all you say

I'll be sure to tell all the people that live in high rise apartments...

I worked for a company drilling oil and gas in Western Australia in the early 2000s. Australia has huge oil and gas reserves. This is a self-inflicted wound given by green net zero policies.

A realistic rewrite to reflect reality…. Now imagine Iran controlling/allowing oil to only countries with sharia law.

CB's avatar

John Stewart once asked jokingly why God put "our" oil under other peoples' countries. Same might be asked about "our" transit routes. The video John linked to in his other post showed how the Brits and Russians took over Iran during WWII. The U.S. took over in 1953. The U.S. helped CIA asset Saddam Hussein make war on Iran between 1980 and 1988. And so forth. We somehow get along with Wahhabi Saudi Arabia, but Iran hates us for no reason other than we aren't Shia?

Rather stark, no?

Enlightened, adroit author views reality and determines that the IRGC destruction of third party nations' commerce--to the detriment of the nation currently being discussed--is...what? Benign? And, Trump's dealing with it head on is the exact wrong thing to do, because...it's an Epstein Distraction?

Maybe the transitition from youthful neural health to adult decline is evident. Or, something.

No, it's not decline. Still too sharp. It's programming, social priming, social coercion, peer pressure, etc. The thinker has begun to emote. That's probably it.

Outstanding intellectual b..ch slapping Evergreen! Bravo! Unfortunately I don’t believe it improve focus..

Flash Gordon's avatar

Oh, you people have certainly been socially primed and programmed to believe the "America as world's saviors" narrative, alright. The illegal act of starting a war without congressional approval was not an Epstein distraction, although it may de facto operate as one. It was a done because the Israelis finally got a sucker into the White House who would go along with it. They've been trying to get America to strike Iran for forty years, years that Iran has been preparing for it.

The Straights of Hormuz will remain closed to friends of America and the US will not be able to do a damn thing about it. More air bases and military equipment will be wiped out as will any ground forces attempting to land and remain on Iranian territory simply because of basic logistics, terrain and planning by the Iranians. Don't take my word for it. Read sonar21's assessments. Listen to Col. Douglas MacGregor and Prof. Mearshimer.

Israel is suffering massive losses right now. Lebanon is wiping out their tanks and ground forces. They have lost power to about 25% of the country. This will only get worse. Bookmark my post and come back in a month and let me know all the ways I and the sources I mentioned were wrong, please.

Oh, and I have not even mentioned the obvious insider trading that Trump and his friends are engaging in. Sadly, the Dems will regain power shortly and when they do they will prosecute the Trump family for racketeering. May take a few years but it will happen. America first conservatives need to wake up and realize they have become as delusional as the "Biden doesn't have dementia" crowd.

Flash, what’s all this have to do with irresponsible energy policy and management? I’d up whatever meds you’re on…

Flash Gordon's avatar

If you had an intellectual capacity above inner-city 3rd grader I wouldn't have to explain it to you. As America gets its ass handed to it in the Middle East and loses what little bit of control is has over the world's energy prices I will return to this thread again and again to rub it in your smug, uninformed, war-mongering face.

Nasty1's avatar

I'll be waiting.... :-) In the meantime add some anger management to the meds, or change meds. Aripiprazole might be useful for you...or just shutting off social media for awhile and playing checkers...

The Strait of Hormuz is not closed. Russian and Chinese vessels pass through it daily. The actual issue was when Lloyds of London withdrew their insurance support for various vessels, thus ensuring that these uninsured vessels would not go through the Strait. The issue is actually the City of London, which has dictated global politics and unrest for centuries, and is now being destroyed by Trump. Finally.

Kezee Kandoo's avatar

The price gouge in Aus started b4 the strait of Hormuz was closed by City of London who wanted to show up Trump as the instigator. This is all a farce to bring about energy dependent lockdowns. Aus is not a third world country but we act like paupers w/ the begging bowl bcos this is the kind of demoralisation and humiliation that our visionless narcissistic, communist leaders desire to bring about to control the masses. An economy of 'Managed Decline' is no management for a sovereign nation just a puppet govt that has no business ruling. You can't despise the enemy of the ppl enough.

"Australia is now facing severe fuel shortages as a results of" its long history of suppressing domestic coal use and closure of its coal-fired power plants.

Suicidal green policies in the name of saving the planet from carbon dioxide emissions. Australia is paying the price of the absolute lunacy of its ruling elite.

The only thing we know for a fact, is that the extra CO2 has greened up the entire globe and increased agricultural yields.

And let's not forget Australia's Covid-inspired concentration camps, and Dan Andrews' Stalinist approach to injection mandates.

Australia has been run by certifiable alarmist nutcases for at least a generation.

albert venezio's avatar

I fully agree John. Australia destroyed themselves deliberately because they are the launching ground for the One World Order.

I pumped diesel and gasoline at the families truck stop and shop through 2 Oil Crisis' in 1973 and 1979. That lead me to the Alternative Fuels System business. I could go much further.

Mark Carney and Trudeau before him are WEF Globalists with net zero fetishes who are destroying Canada using the same playbook as Australia. They are trying to disarm us (NEVER GONNA HAPPEN) and their regulations are keeping our vast amount of oil and gas in the ground. They seem to be letting China have a lot of influence and are forcing Chinese EV’s on a population that does NOT want them. Canadians who are not Liberals are awake to all of this.

Frances's avatar

Both Mark Carney and C. Freeland were trustees at the WEF. One could see that Carney was a paid advisor to Trudeau, just waiting for his turn. It was so obvious to me living overseas. Why was Polievre, a career politician, and his advisors so ill prepared for this campaign.

This fits very well with one of the most profound pieces I have read in recent memory by the erudite author, humanist and analyst Chris Hedges. It is a deep reflection on the human soul or in this instance, of the soulless. "The soulless, enslaved by narcissism, greed, a lust for power and hedonism, cannot make moral choices. Moral choices for them do not exist. Truth and falsehoods are identical. Life is transactional. Is it good for me? Does it make me feel omnipotent? Does it give me pleasure? This stunted existence banishes them from the moral universe.

Human beings, including children, are commodities to the soulless, objects to exploit for pleasure or profit or both. We saw this soullessness displayed in the Epstein Files. And it was not only Epstein. Huge sections of our ruling class including billionaires, Wall Street financiers, university presidents, philanthropists, celebrities, Republicans, Democrats and media personalities, consider us worthless."

Read and reflect upon the truth of these words.

John's re-write reminds me of the opening scenes of the film Idiocracy. So does the world created by our globalist overlords, which might be called the Axis of Epstein for reasons having little to do with religion.

Important worldwide connections John!

All happenstance? Kinda like mass migration last 20 yrs in the West?

Sounds like "control grid" to deplete autonomy of independent thinking civilisations.

Most western countries are operated by Globalist psychopaths bent on submitting all its citizens to their ‘wise’ leadership as human cattle - for their own good of course! We’ve been fools to let them get away with it! Most voters are useful idiots at best. It’s so frustrating! 😢🙏🏻

John, what "favorite Poem " is that?

you might have added: "the mandated crushing boot of tyranny in the name of preservation made slaves of them all" First soften them up with the left punch of mandated covid shots, then knock them out with the upper right of fuel rationing" We can all see it. Thank you Mr Glyphosate bibi Trump.

Thanks John, for your thoughtful commiseration of Aussies on the increasing death throes of their once proud and capable country. There have indeed been many 'Immoral and irresponsible imbeciles' involved in this downward spiral. Those of us who have been watching, are noting that the worst of them have received bronze statues in their honour - while the best talent has been demonised, belittled and wiped from the public eye.

I'm pretty sure these timelines are all pre-written. According to Ismael Perez we are currently in concurrent timelines. Six probable positive and six probable negative timelines. Which ones converge and collapse into the real timeline depends how we as a collective respond to what's happening. Do we panic and fall into fear mode, or do we beat a different drum and work out how to supply fuel differently bypassing the stranglehold.

We are a resource rich nation and despite what the govt thinks not everyone is falling for the shortage narrative.

The narrative does not bear any resemblance to the truth. The ppl signing contracts and offshoring our asset need a kick up the arse and we need to reclaim what is naturally ours.

The attempt to enable one world governance by agenda 2030 is so bloody obvious this scenario is so contrived but we can't buy into it.

Demand what is ours and don't take NO for an answer.

As an Aussie of 55 years I'm so sick and tired of this nonsense!

John, I mentioned Marty Armstrong's forecasting model many times. Yet, it's still so uncanny how accurate it is. Back in 2011, the model pinpointed 2026 through 2028 as a period of a worldwide economic slowdown. Europe and Australia are slipping into a depression, whilst the US is entering a recession driven by stagflation. Now, the model does not identify the causes, but focuses on the times when these things occur.

However, it is fascinating to watch these forecasts unfold and see the drivers behind the events. We can see, for instance, that the EU and Australia's dependency on foreign energy is the catalyst for economic depression. No energy, no economy. Who would have thought an invasion of Iran by a billionaire's second term as president, breaking his promises, would be the reason for the model's accuracy?
