I disagree their motives are rooted in benefits for America or the West in any way. They could care less about the petro dollar. If they cared about economic issues we wouldn't run the deficits we do, to cite one example of many. Everything almost all Western leaders do, especially in the USA, is detrimental to their citizens. Our welfare is not remotely on their radar. Unless saving the petro dollar directly benefits them personally - I suppose that's possible.
Agree 100%. Loved everything Trump said on campaign trail, and he has done many good things. Still 1000% better than Kamala. Way better than that dingbat, but he has changed. He has flip flopped on a number of major items you have pointed out that I think a huge majority of Americans were expecting from him. I don't have answers why, but he has changed course. Sadly, no politician that is allowed to succeed in the primaries is going to be allowed to serve the citizens best interests. I see remaining loyal to the abusive political parties (both of them), even with ample evidence of corruption, is an attempt to avoid the harsh reality of what our government has become. People want to hang on to hope that someone is fighting for them.
To see the truth is a very bleak outlook and it is very emotionally difficult to deal with that reality. So some people keep taking the injections. Some people keep voting. It’s a coping mechanism to avoid the cold hard truth.
