No ‘trauma bond’ here. Regardless of who is president or in Congress, they’re all corrupted crooks based upon my observation.its just a giant money-laundering operation. I agree with your closing paragraph. The (so-called) ‘US Government’ has become a bloated behemoth.

Mr. Leake: Has it occurred to you that sometimes good people like Donald J. Trump must do the difficult thing? From what I've learned recently, this plan has been "on the table" for MANY years - the Iran incursion. But no President had the guts to do it because they were more worried about their re-electability or some other thing. I hope you will apologize when your fears are not realized.

Steveo's avatar

Good people like donald trump? That's laughable. I'm no democrat but good Lord, do you pay attention to what's going on? It was his executive order that gave the green light for the "new/modern" "vaccines." Its trump working with the homo thiel to get palantir up and running to surveil you 24/7, giving the green light for 6g which has nothing to do with internet, this will work with musks neuralink (chip in your brain that you most limrly inhaled because he doesn't want to stop any chemspraying) and along with gates crypto social credit network (patent 060606) yes 3 6's is going lock you up in your digital prison. He has protected glyphosates and the path for future more deadly pesticides. You really need to come to terms with the fact that your government hates you (the whole pedo uniparty) and wants you dead. That's ehy he said, "take the beautiful vaccine." He also said he didn't care about the epstein files. What kind of monster doesn't care about children being trafficked for the purpose of sex, torture, blood extraction, and impregnation for babies to rape?

Here's the future and it's coming at break-neck speed. He's another bibi controlled demon, no different than any other before him.

That movie trailer clip is 13 years old. I just wish I would've paid attention earlier.

Don't we all. The signs were all around. They were telling us. He, his family, nor the family dog eever got to make the movie.

Yeah. Sure.

A) Bibi is soooo powerful! His hook nose gives him superpowers and his yarmulke acts as a mind control transmitter that turns everybody around him into remote control zombies! All Hail Bibi! All Hail Bibi! All Hail Bibi! Bill Gates, Rockefeller, Bushies, Starmer, Ursula, Musk, Carnegie, Obama, Biden all drop to their knees in worship to All-powerful Bibi!!

B) Or you're just a dumbf*ck Jew-hating POS.

I'll go with B.

Steveo's avatar

You're just ignorant to what's going on in the world, ajd by the way, you're so ignorant that you don't even know that's not his real name. It's sad you don't know where all the evil comes from but you're probably safer that way. Keep your head buried. Oh, and one more thing, they're not the "jews." Why don't you go learn some history before you come at me with some foul-mouthed rant. Moron.

but he didn't do the "difficult thing" which would have been to send BiBi and his dirty laundry packing, to make AIPAC register as a foreign lobby, to put America. and his base before the fanatical demands of tribal Israel. he supported the odious Lindsay Graham, who spends more time in Israel than he does in SC. why the hell was Lady Lindsay doing a press conference in Tel Aviv when I can't recall him doing one here. I'm sure the "crowds" would boo him roundly. I can't wait to cast a vote against Lindsay Graham.

you talk about apologizing? will Trump apologize to his base for betraying them? for plunging us into an unnecessary war on behalf of our biggest welfare whore? he's causing anti-semitism. when will we tell this miserable inconsequential country to get off our back? they are our enemy, not our ally.

will you apologize when the Democrats win the House and the Senate and we are subjected to open borders and pronoun policies again? when the country sinks further into debt from another endless pointless war? when young men come back in body bags? when the next 3 years is just one long impeachment proceeding, now that there are legitimate grounds for it?

maybe he should have worried a bit more about his re-electability because he's shot himself and his base in the collective foot. sure there are some fanatics, like you, who will excuse his every flaw, but independent voters will not.

I'm hardly over his glyphosate betrayal and now this? my next vote for president will be for Thomas Massie.

ALL WARS ARE WRONG! Killing begets killing. The US Military and DOD have been involved in the creation of more wars and killed more people since WWI - providing munitions to ALL sides of war using propaganda to create them. US supplied all sides in WWII and were not involved up until 1941 when Roosevelt wanted an excuse for using the atom bomb. He was asked by Hawaiian Queen to move the naval base and military base off of Hawaiin land. Roosevelt refused. She then asked friend, Gen Tanaka to speak to him in November of 1941. Tanaka gave him until December 7 to remove the base or it would be bombed. Roosevelt told NO ONE, as he wanted an excuse to test Einstein's A-Bomb, which massacred over 800,000 innocent Japanese men woman and children ... just for an excuse to enter the war and cover up the fact that they were invested in all sides. This was pre Operation Paperclip, where all high ranking governing positions in all facets of industry and commerce were taken over by Khazarian mafia ... (1930s). I read these translated documents in 1965, which my father found in a deserted Nazi camp in Holland in 1944.

Hillary Anderson's avatar

John, not all wars are wrong. Some enemies refuse diplomatic means to negotiate peace. The threat of nuclear arms held by Iran is very real.

Trump has worked hard to negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine. He talks about how the tremendous numbers of deaths on both sides (as high as 31,000 a month) distresses him. Just how do you propose another country ends that conflict? Trump is using tariffs to exert influence and to reduce our debt. Those things are within his power and he rightly exerts it.

Trump has closed our southern border ending massive illegal immigration that has introduced all manner of undesirable effects, people and political strife. Illegal immigration has created huge division and animosity in our country. How have we come to the place where the enforcement of immigration law is irrationally opposed? I have been sickened watching normal-seeming people become hysterical and crazed, screaming foul language, trying to injure federal agents and interfere with efforts to remove criminal illegal immigrants from our communities.

Hundreds of thousands of documents regarding Epstein have been released. How long is voyeuristic obsession with that degenerate going to distract people from far more important issues? Why are you participating in that?

Trump is building a coalition of countries in the western hemisphere to insure safety and mutually beneficial agreements.

Trump is demonstrating strength. That is good. Why is it so many have no stomach for enforcing consequences and using military force? It is idiocy to ignore Iran’s threats to America as they re-build nuclear armaments.

Sideline quarterback Trump. But in my opinion it’s not the best use of your literary talents.

prsmith's avatar

I agree, Hillary. We carry a big stick for good reason and sometimes the application of that big stick is necessary. I just hope that we realize the dream we all have for Iran (and Ukraine).

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

agree and by the way:

Thousands of Iranian Americans rallied in support of recent military operations following strikes targeting the country’s ruling authorities, with pre-revolutionary Iranian and American flags seen waving together in demonstrations across the United States.

Houman Hemmati, a Jewish Persian American who escaped Iran’s Islamic revolution in 1979 with family as a child, told The Epoch Times the patriotic surge in the diaspora “ isn’t politics.” It is “ family coming home.”

“ The Iranian American community is not celebrating death, we are celebrating life,” Hemmati said. “The life that was stolen from us in 1979 is being returned to our brothers and sisters in Iran, and we owe that miracle to the moral courage of the United States and Israel.”

Groups gathered in Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, chanting and dancing in the streets, many waving flags, photos of President Donald Trump, and handmade signs. Hemmati described the patriotic displays—brimming with emotions, prayers, and tears of joy— as expressions of gratitude and jubilation.

“We are more American today than we have ever been, because America just reminded the world why we risked everything to come here,” he said.

“ We did not come to this country to escape one tyranny only to watch America hesitate before another. We came because America is the one place on earth that still believes freedom is worth defending, and this week, America proved it again.” . . .

Travis Gilmore, Epoch Times newspaper, March 4, 2026

carolyn kostopoulos's avatar

except for the Iranians who have been killed by US bombs. never ask diaspora what they think. they do not reflect the views of the people who remained in the country. right now, there are mass rallies in support of the regime. who are we to enforce our systems (which aren't working all that well) on other countries when we are living on fumes of past glory?

pretty-red, old guy's avatar

Well, CK, let's start enumerating the 15,000+ Iranians murdered last month by their own police & soldiers as compared to the alleged 150 in a girls school (IF it held even one, we will never know).

If you look up my source and READ it you will notice that those protesting in the USA have relatives and friends in Iran and DO, in fact, represent their mindset.

. . . living on fumes of past glory, huh? Well name ONE, please just ONE other damn country who has any glory fumes to sniff in the last 50 years. WHO else has lifted even one, single, finger to help another country anywhere NEAR what the USA has? Consider the successes besides your loved failures, because we understand you will love to point out each shortcoming. . .

Here are some:

South Korea (the Korean War and Cold war)

Japan (after WWII)

Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czechoslavikia(the cold war)

Germany(the cold war)

ALL the Baltic states

Taiwan

Spain, France, England, Belgium, Luxemburg, (WW I & WW II)

Grenada

Venezuela

So, enumerate countries who have helped other countries like the USA has kept Freedom and Liberty alive at the expense of our own lives.

If you are American, how can you be so ungrateful?

If you are Greek, how can you feel so little appreciation?

carolyn kostopoulos's avatar

sorry, our country enforces it's will on other countries, not to ensure women's rights to wear mini skirts or go to school or for democracy or "freedom." you can't bomb another country into doing what you want. you only create resentment, blowback and terrorism.

we have massive debt. do we really need to start a war, costing a billion a day (that we don't have) when our own country is falling apart. our roads are crumbling, our schools are terrible. i don't "love" failure but it would help if we were honest about our failures instead of bragging all the time about imaginary successes.

how is Libya doing or Syria after our inference? why do we only bother countries with oil?

i am a Greek Italian American, so what. it's an accident of birth. i'm going to call things as i see them. i can be grateful for the things i'm grateful for and criticize the things that warrant criticism.

there is not a single nation in our recent military adventures that has been improved by our interference while we've hollowed out our domestic life. remember the "peace dividend" that we were supposed to get after the Soviet Union turned into Russia? but here we are, still sacrificing Ukraine in our obsession to cripple Russia trying to keep China down while they have owned much of our debt and make all the cheap crap that fuels our consumerist economy.

we've become a people that wants to bomb all our neighbors so we can claim to have the only nice house on the block.

BTW, do not believe the numbers you've been told of the "protesters" killed in Iran. obviously the media and the government wants to gin up holy fervor against Iran. Trump says they "cut off the heads of babies." ah, sure. we've killed a few of our own protesters lately. should another country drop a few bombs on us?

if you believe that the "others" are monsters, then you can justify any atrocities, as Hitler did by blaming everything on a certain group of people.

we have no high ground from which to throw stones.

Water under the bridge, isn't it.

Trump inherited a whole lot of deep state bullshit.

Either you want the same old Deep State WEF NWO, or you can (possibly) see the potential of coming world peace and a NWO arranged by an elected leader - rather than the globalist de-pop crazed clowns at the WEF.

Odds are good - with the citizenry support of both Venezuela and Iran - almost unanimously, want the U.S. to takeout the evil regimes.

Both countries, are... have been, important to Russia and China. If the new regimes, are anything close to democracies.... Russia and China just had their legs taken out... the evil doers in both countries, won't be around to assist China and Russia in their quest for regional control.

Checkmate, by Trump (America), is on the horizon

Steveo's avatar

You're sadly confused. Trump is the deep state. Everything you parroted is a political boob tube programming. Good luck!

Trump is potus. what R U, going to do about it? I0f he was deep state, why did he lose in 2020?

Guess you think, it's all staged... well humans can be predictable... and they know their roles..... you're parroting fear porn, without a shred of evidence.

Steveo's avatar

Keep parroting everything the news tells you. You think there's winners and losers in elections? That global israel puppet isn't anymore my president than the other clowns before him. I ignore all of them because they're useless aipac controlled puppets. I'm not a sheep, I don't need to be governed, especially by a pdeo uniparty. It's all staged. It's all fake and until you realize that, you really do need luck. "Presidents are selected, not elected." LBJ

"In politics nothing happens by accident. If it happens you can bet it was planned that way." Roosevelt. You need more than luck, you just don't realize it.

While Russia is weakened from 4 years of war, it's as good a time to put Iran in its place.... China hasn't been flapping their gums too much - laying low.

carolyn kostopoulos's avatar

russia hasn't been weakened. if anything, it's strengthened. it's manufacturing capacity far outpaces ours. it's debt to GDP is around 4%. what's ours?

DBC's avatar

~120% debt to GDP, What's Japan's? ~290% or so?

"...it's manufacturing capacity far outpaces ours."

Research that.... or not. You couldn't be more wrong - you're either a liar or ignorant. You're not even close - but you like to make bullshit claims, whether you know its bullshit or not.

OK, I'll do the homework for you;

https://www.worldometers.info/gdp/gdp-by-country/ PER CAPITA

1 United States $30.62 trillion $30,615,743,000,000 2% $89,599

9 Russia $2.54 trillion $2,540,656,000,000 0.6% $17,446

So Japan is going down the tubes?

Move to Russia.

Steveo's avatar

Wow, you need to turn off the boob tube, it's programmed your brain to believe everything they say, which is a lie.

Kelleigh Nelson's avatar

Read your Bible Steveo. God promises curses and blessings in Gen: 12-1-3. He also called Israel and the Jews, MY PEOPLE. Jesus is a Jew. In Isaiah 49:16 God tells us He engraved Israel in the Palms of His Hands. Romans 11:1 Paul tells us, "I say then, Did God cast off his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin." In the first two chapters of Romans, Paul states three times, "To the Jew first and also to the Greek."

Zechariah 2:8 the Lord states, TOUCH NOT THE APPLE OF MY EYE.

The entire Bible is written by Jews save for the Book of Luke.

Be careful Steveo...if the Lord loves them, who are we to hate them? That's obviously not what the Lord desires. Like the NT states, there are good and bad in every group of people, and that includes the Jewish people...we know who they are and the Lord tells us to pray for our enemies. There are also wonderful Jewish people especially those in Israel who work daily to help humanity with their medical advances. They've saved countless American soldiers in the theatre of wars with their advances.

RoseMartyn's avatar

The modern political state of Israel which is currently committed to a genocide in Palestine, and hegemony in the Middle East via Greater Israel expansion, is not a lucky rabbit’s foot.

Not all Christian Bible scholars believe in the theological lucky rabbits foot interpretation of Genesis that some evangelicals and Zionists do. ( Orthodox and Catholic for example ) Even some orthodox Jews do not. And they all support this view with Scripture.

I am coming down on the side of no genocides allowed.

Kelleigh Nelson's avatar

Never have the Jews raped women in front of their husbands and put babies in hot ovens. Never have they kidnapped and starved, raped and beaten men and women. Never have they chopped off heads and thrown and kicked them around as Hamas and GAZA children did.

Israel has given and given and given land hoping for peace, but Islam via Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, ISIS, Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR have sworn to destroy Israel, kill all Jews and kill all infidels...first the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.

What has Israel done? They have defended themselves after being attacked.

As of late 2025 and early 2026, approximately 2.1 to 2.13 million Arab citizens live in Israel, comprising about 21% to 21.5% of the total population. This population includes Muslims, Christians, and Druze, primarily residing in northern Israel, the Haifa district, and the Negev.

As of 2026, no Israeli citizens permanently reside in the Gaza Strip. Following Israel's unilateral disengagement in 2005, all 21 Israeli settlements were dismantled, and approximately 9,000 settlers were evacuated. While military personnel have entered during conflicts, there is no civilian Israeli population living there.

prsmith's avatar

Who is this 'they' you reference? The propaganda from both sides is thick. AI complicates reality. It can be difficult if not impossible to discern truth and your truth is not necessarily my truth.

That said, if you've got processes to discern the truth, to weed out the propaganda and to determine who is telling the truth, I would dearly love to learn about them?

Steveo's avatar

It's easy. I don't believe anything politicians or the media says, like the politicians they're all operated by israel op's. They do not have America, or any other countrys best interest at heart. They're all to be destroyed, depopulated and repouplated with a different face and the only way to save everyone is to have a new world order, one world government. As the day tapes stated, it's been planned for decades, and "they couldn't stop it now if they wanted to." The grorgia guidestones also told us this was coming, and they were anonymously installed in 1970, and mysteriously blown up a few years back. What they have planned for the future and what they're implementing would blow most peoples minds. They just can't fathom such a sinister, evil machine existing and especially in their government. Even with the content of the epstein files, which is going aways as quickly as every other false flags, assassination attempts, kirk assassination, and on and on. The idea of government is a farce. There are people pulling their strings for a greater purpose, they're greater purpose. It started 100 years ago and it's not going to stop. Everything has been a lie. Good luck.

prsmith's avatar

You are correct, I cannot fathom living under what would be an evil tyranny that could not possibly have the individual at heart. We would be nothing more than cattle for use as they pleased. We have resisted such a plan this long, hopefully we can resist for millennia to come.

Steveo's avatar

We're already there though, that's my point.

prsmith's avatar

I doubt that. We have not experienced the levels of control that such a situation would entail. We have never been free, there is always somebody in control, but we are still relatively free and living within the confines of our Constitution. I think that's true of all other countries as well.

The US have created MORE wars using more munitions than all world wars combined. This goes back to Napolean's war. Obama is by far the worst. He is not even American - Barrie Soetoro born in Africa to Ann Dunham CIA who with Lolo Soetoro CIA under guidance of CIA director GHW Bush, between 1965-67 massacred over 300,000 innocent men women and children in search of President Soekarno's gold warehouses intended for the people of the world - claiming he was PKI! GHW took Barrie under his wing and groomed him for President. Trump is demonstrating weakness; he can't say no to BiBi. he has not worked hard to negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine; he could have ended that war is a day by cutting off all aid to Ukraine. he wants to end it on his terms but it's going to end on Russia's terms. when the negotiations start from a place that does not reflect the reality on the battlefield, then there is no way for the negotiations to lead anywhere.

yes, it's great that he closed the Southern border but now he's done something that is not great and we have the right to voice our dissatisfaction.

Hillary Anderson's avatar

He did end all funding to Ukraine at the beginning of 2026. European allies are still funding and supporting the war. There are limits to what the US President can do, even Trump admits that. The battlefield is literally covered with the bodies of 2 million Russian and Ukrainian men. Neither Putin or Zelensky is moved by those catastrophic losses. They don’t care. How do you end a war that its leaders are willing to fight AT ANY COST?Sure, have your feelings about all of it. In America we get to have our feelings and express them.

John your conclusion that MAGA is condoning or accepting all of Trump's actions or inactions is false. There is no worship of the man. What MAGA wants is a nation-first agenda, and Trump just happens to be 80% of the way there, a rare president considering all of them have been evil or captured by evil since Reagan. We aren't loyal to the man, we're loyal to each other. None of us will ever get everything we want. If we constantly focus on the 20% we didn't get, then we've lost sight of the big picture. But if we can get most of what we want, thats a win. So when you list Trumps perceived failures, always balance that list by his successes. Let's figure out how to get the most wins possible for 2 more years. Let's vote like children depend on our choices. Let's pray because our lives depend on God. So I challenge you to provide a balanced perspective rather than a hopeless or divided one.

Do we truly know who is and is not corrupt? I don't because I don't personally know them and even some I know I find that they are also corrupt. Just because you know someone does not make them honest and with integrity. I am 60 and have known some individuals my whole life and would never have guess their fraudulent and immoral corruption.

Which is really same as we have now, a shadow government. Ai is just a computer to quickly compile what is programmed by people.

Ollie's avatar

However, AI isn't interested in money, or cocaine fueled weekends in Miami patronizing prostitutes on the tax payers dime.

Steveo's avatar

True, I'll give you that and don't forget the kids. It's probably more kids than prostitutes.

Santini Fan's avatar

This nails it. I am so disgusted. There are just no words to describe being robbed of hope.

Deborah Teall's avatar

Because of what John wrote you think there is no hope? When you find there is 'no hope' from what someone writes, you need to find others to get additional information from. Continue to follow John as I do because I believe he has good information on some things.

Santini Fan's avatar

John wrote what so many of us are feeling.

While my hope is ultimately in God, the reality is that we were led to believe that this president represented common sense on a multitude of issues. I feel incredibly let down and realize that we have virtually no good options in our elected representatives to implement what we were promised during the election. They represent only themselves and their interests. And we’re stuck with them until we naively hope again that the next guy might actually be telling the truth.

I believed in Trump before. I happily voted for him three times. But I am disgusted, disappointed and demoralized. And I am hardly alone.

Susie's avatar

Yes, we can list some good things that Trump has done, but this war negates everything. People will wake up after this drags on and as the full impact of this terrible decision is fully realized. So best to just learn as much as you can from a variety of sources, and develop more critical thinking.

Deborah Teall's avatar

Have you looked at everything that Trump has done? Have you looked at everything that he has brought out into the light so we are aware of what has been done in the past? There are so many things. Look at the big picture from the 40,000 view. The Iran bombing is one thing but we also do not know why, unexpectedly, we went in. You cannot narrow everything down to just one thing because you will always be a depressed and/or narrow minded person.

Santini Fan's avatar

I am neither depressed nor narrow minded.

But I am done communicating with you.

I will not doom out but will keep listening to the people I currently am and adding to them to get additional thoughts.

The Neo-Cons bamboozle every President & Administration! Both sides eat out of the same trough. You have to walk away.......make them all obsolete!

prsmith's avatar

In favor of what? To what are you running, Kim?

Kim Hayes's avatar

Return to 'We the People'. IMHO we will restore the Planet from the ground up.

The Federal level has proven to be a total waste of money, time & resources. Lobbyists & Foreign Countries have completely taken over Congress. Thinking Local is not just a slogan. I traveled the world for 20 years making Natural History & Wildlife Films. I learned quickly, everyone's situation is unique, so blanket policies are non-applicable 90% of the time. Plus I learned to ask everyone their opinion. The locals know what does and doesn't work in their area. Plus the words Collaborate & Cooperate need to be re-introduced into everyones vocabulary. These are just small quick fixes, popping into my head. Over all we can see what doesn't work, yet the knuckleheads that make decision keep trying to bake the same cake that already failed 11-teen times. We're entering a period of infrastructure collapse in the USA. We all need to come together , they are a lot of smart people out there. We need to re-imagine everything: all systems- Medical, Educational, Transportation, Agriculture, Sanitation, Energy and on & on.

prsmith's avatar

From the ground up to what, Kim? What would your ideal government look like? 'Local' is basically returning us to the 1800s...Indian tribes, colonies run by foreign governments and religions, tens of thousands of jurisdictions with different laws and rights and governing styles.

I don't disagree with anything you said, I just can't picture it. In your dream, would there be anything that joined everything together and maintained the greatness of America? Would we continue as a single people with a common core culture?

Kim Hayes's avatar

I am unable to give you a perfect example or document to look at since we together , perhaps via 'Think Tanks' we begin to create templates that are malleable. Since it's the rigidity that destroys things. Here is a quick example: In Totnes, England they have created the Totnes pound. Exchange is equal to British pound. It is exchanged locally and used exclusively in the town of Totnes, so as to develop & keep a small local economy. It is thriving. There are multiple example spread out of these tiny start ups. prsmith please know I am not claiming to be a genius and I have all the answers, yet I do know, what we currently are experiencing does not work and has not worked for a very long time. We need to rip the band-aid off and experiment with options.

I'm not saying we should all go live in a commune and practice a big kumbaya hug and everything will be groovy! As you mentioned , we are a great nation and through incredibly Bad Management things have gone terribly south. Course corrections are needed in so many areas.

When people experiment locally and have successes this can sometimes be extrapolated outward , naturally with tweaks applicable to the next scenario. There is a saying in Permaculture, The Problem is the Solution!

The examples to back that up quickly that come to mind are one in China, TheLoess Plataeu which is 640,000km2 plataeu and it was severely eroded damaged and barely useful. A group went around and spoke to everyone across the land and got their opinions on what they saw that worked and what didn't in the area of agriculture. They condensed it all down and created a master plan. In this scenario the people were the problem so the people became the solution. They were hired to implement the plan of restoration. They were then given title to a piece of land, so they had some skin in the game. and certain rules & regs were put in place like no more free ranging goats as they destroy the landscape. If someone wanted to keep goats they had to get the fodder, branches, etc. and bring it to the penned goats. Lots of old timers went nuts, this plan won't work, it's stupid. It took 10 years and this Plateau has been completely transformed to a lush garden of high productivity. This example exists on YT, John Lie and the Loess Plataeu.

I know that was a governmental example, yet I could dig around and find a Medical one for you probably in short order.

I'm an Optimist and I know we can do this, the time has come. I revert to Buckminster Fuller a visionary:

You Never Change Anything By Fighting It; You Change Things By Making Them Obsolete Through Superior Technology.

prsmith's avatar

I agree that things are not perfect and need to change. Your example re. the Loess Plateau is a good one. I do not agree that we need to burn it to the ground and start over. We're 250+ years into this experiment which has proved to be the best ever invented with a balance between freedom and organized control. Let's focus on making the necessary modifications to right the ship but, to mix metaphors, let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. Isn't that the thrust of your last paragraph?

Our focus should be on rooting out and destroying the dark forces that drive us toward globalization and central control that we all know will be bad for people and will eventually fail disastrously.

Kim Hayes's avatar

I agree with you. We make obsolete the things that have out lived their usefulness and that might include people, ideas, concepts, agreements and all around systems that don't function.

Just throwing this out as an example of circus distractions....... We had minute by minute coverage of people discussing nothing or what nothing another person said regarding this missing Nancy Guthrie event. While tragic, yes. Every overpaid script reading journalist in America all of a sudden became Inspector Clouseau and knew more than everyone on the planet about nothing. I was forced to listen to this drivel, because I was caretaking a friend's 83 year old mother and she was totally enraptured in the event. Since she refused to put her hearing aids in even when I went to the other end of her condo I could not escape the nonsense. I feel sorry for the family and the woman kidnapped, yet I am (forgive me) almost more moved by the fact that 2,300 children go missing in America everyday and they get ZERO media coverage bc their parents aren't employed by a News Network.

So, yes....much hubris to clean up & clear out and right our ship! I also digress....both parties do eat out of the same trough. And the pretense that America is peddling 'Democracy' in other Nations is a giant Baloney sandwich! Besides, I for want want no part of a democracy. That's just Mob Rule! That's 2 wolves and 1 sheep deciding what's for lunch. Cheers!

The military action in Iran was not the start of a new war. It will, hopefully, end a war that Iran has had against the US for over 4 decades. It was Obaminable and Bidumb who set up the conditions for Russia to invade Ukraine. Trump has tried to diplomatically end the war that Bidumb and our European “allies” helped to propagate. After multiple assassination attempts, you’ve gotta know that draining the swamp/sewer is no easy task for this president. You see, unless you are blind, the the TDS Demonrats are fighting everything that Trump does. That they hate Trump more than they love America. Actually, they don’t love America and have embraced Marxist ideology and are bringing this country down. I, too, am disappointed that Trump has not denounced the COVID jabs. I’m glad that he spoke out against the insane number of “vaccinations” given to children and that his administration has modified the childhood vaccination schedule. But, as you know, medical organizations are fighting this and recommending their own vaccination schedules. I’m disappointed that Trump supports IVF. I see two sides to Trump. On the one side, I see the greatest president ever; on the other side, I see someone who has shown loyalty to people who are no longer serving him well. He needs better medical advisors.

carolyn kostopoulos's avatar

Iran has had a war against the US for 4 decades? you mean when we got rid of their popular leader because he thought Iraninan oil should benefit Iran and not be stolen by the US and the UK? because we installed a Shah and a hated police state? because Bessant bragged about destroying their currency to fuck with them?

because Israel wants to seize land and be the only functioning country in the Middle East? because we've surrounded them with out military bases?

gee, I guess you're right. the evil Iran just can't seem to leave us alone!

carolyn kostopoulos's avatar

you mean reducing spending by spending a billion dollars a day on another completely unnecessary war?

Joze's avatar

I mean:

- enforcing immigration and stopping fraud around the nation so that costs US less.

- stopping terrorists and wars, drugs and those seeking to destroy US (Russia, China, Democrats, Biden/Kerry/Heinz, Ukraine, Iran, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Communists: AOC, Bernie, Newsom, Traitors: Omar, Biden/Kerry/Heinz; but I’m starting to repeat myself).

- Elect more conservatives by proving the success of the above and then codifying fiscal sanity…

- it’s a long roads, the pieces need to be in place for it to happen…

- this can be the start.

😘🇺🇸

Elimination of Property and Sales Tax with

the UTOMM

Universal Tax on Money Movement (UTOMM)

A National Framework for Equitably Funding the Government

I. First Principles

The purpose of taxation is to equitably promote the general welfare and to provide for the

common defense. Property taxes penalize property ownership, create foreclosure risk and distort

normal land use. Sales taxes have their own burdens and hide the true cost of government. The

tax systems based on property ownership, declared income, and consumption have grown

complex. As discretionary functions they are susceptible to a misuse of power and can create

unnatural burdens on the humanity required to pay and collect them.

II. The Universal Tax on Money Movement (UTOMM)

The Universal Tax on Money Movement replaces multiple forms of taxation with a single,

uniform levy applied to the movement of money itself. Whenever funds move between

accounts—whether between individuals, businesses, or financial institutions—a small, fixed-rate

tax is applied.

The baseline domestic rate proposed is 0.10%. This is $1 tax per $1000 transaction. Transfers

leaving the United States are subject to a higher minimum rate to discourage capital flight.

Ownership, savings at rest, and unrealized gains are not taxed.

III. A Typical County in the United States (Model Case Study)

Consider a typical mid-to-large county in the United States with a diverse tax base, a population

ranging from several hundred thousand to several million residents, and a mixture of urban,

suburban, and commercial activity.

Such a county commonly relies on property taxes as its primary revenue source, supplemented by

municipal sales taxes and numerous special-purpose districts. Under UTOMM, these revenue

streams are replaced by a uniform transaction-based system that scales automatically with real

economic activity.

IV. Local-First (“Trickle-Up”) Funding Architecture

Under UTOMM, tax collection occurs at the point of transaction within the banking and payments

system. Revenue is automatically allocated in a fixed priority order, satisfying local obligations

first before any funds flow to higher levels of government.

This reverses the modern 'trickle-down' funding model and restores fiscal autonomy to local

communities, while maintaining stable funding for county, state, and federal responsibilities.

V. Safeguards Against Misuse of Power

UTOMM is designed to eliminate discretionary taxation. Rates are fixed. Exemptions are

prohibited. Selective enforcement is structurally impossible. Revenue allocation is automatic and

auditable.

By treating taxation as neutral infrastructure rather than a political instrument, UTOMM protects

citizens from misuse of power while ensuring continuity of public services.

VI. Relationship to Democratic Oversight

UTOMM separates revenue mechanics from policy choice. Democratic institutions remain

responsible for deciding how funds are spent, while the tax mechanism itself remains neutral,

predictable, and insulated from political manipulation.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

Or just use tariffs, like we used to.

prsmith's avatar

What does 'like we used to' mean? Trump's 400%, 500% and higher tariffs would be an absolute killer if applied to necessities like energy or if competing countries did the same to us (companies who export would have to raise prices across the board to remain profitable).

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

Before the 13th amendment (which was never legitimately passed, btw). Trump’s tariffs haven’t ended the world (& haven’t ended in spite of the SCOTUS decision— just adjusted & continued under different rules).

prsmith's avatar

While I generally agree with this approach to taxation, it is, as usual, a pittance to the rich and onerous to the poor.

You assert that rates are fixed. By who? Who ensures that rates don't change as needs change and people demand more security/social services/retirement income/defense protection/infrastructure expansion, maintenance/etc.?

SoloD's avatar

How is the UTOMM onerous to the "poor"?

SoloD's avatar

The "tax" rates are presently fixed by the banks who issue the bonds, who a select group of people profit off of enormously, during the process of financing public infrastructure; schools, roads, water processing... They would be the same people who would "fix them" in the future.

UTOMM is designed to eliminate discretionary taxation on private property. Rates are fixed. Exemptions are prohibited. Selective enforcement is structurally impossible. Revenue allocation is automatic and auditable.

By treating taxation as neutral infrastructure rather than a political instrument, UTOMM protects citizens from misuse of power while ensuring continuity of public services.

Democratic institutions remain responsible for deciding how funds are spent, while the tax mechanism itself remains neutral, predictable, and insulated from political manipulation.

Sir, just think about it...

prsmith's avatar

The same amount of money would be required to run the various governmental agencies, taxing authorities, etc. that exist today. Your system hides taxes making it more difficult to see where the money comes from but the effect will be the same. I see no way to determine if the taxes are being extracted from rich people or poor people which means that poor people are paying the same rate as the rich. If a destitute person has a financial transaction, s/he will pay a greater percentage of their income to taxes than will a rich person and will by paying money that they cannot afford. So far I'm not seeing it. Maybe more details?

SoloD's avatar

The reason to change the taxing mechanism is to get the tax off the property of the people who are employing people and there by creating the economy, so that Grandmother can live her life out on the farm if she wants to; to unburden the young family which needs every dollar they can muster; to free up the retail trade and everyone else by having the tax administered at the actual transaction layer.

Executive Summary

Elimination of Property and Sales Taxes through the Universal Tax on Money Movement (UTOMM)

The power to tax is also the power to destroy. It is therefore entrusted solely to government, organized by the people to promote their general welfare and provide for their common defense. For reasons that are no longer clearly understood, taxation has grown unnecessarily complex. Property taxes penalize ownership itself and, through their enforcement, carry the power to destroy the security and safety of the owner. Sales taxes require substantial record-keeping, impose regressive burdens, and obscure the true cost of government by embedding taxation within the price of consumption. Together, these tax systems create opaque and costly enforcement structures that are unrelated to genuine economic activity and do nothing to promote the general welfare or provide for the common defense.

A tax system aligned with first principles should be simple, transparent, and directly connected to actual economic activity. Money movement—rather than property ownership, consumption, or subjective valuation—is the clearest and most objective measure of economic participation. The Universal Tax on Money Movement (UTOMM) is a framework designed to replace property and sales taxes with a minimal, uniform levy applied only when money moves.

Under UTOMM, taxation occurs automatically at the point of transfer within the formal financial system, including bank transfers, electronic payments, securities transactions, and institutional settlements. Property ownership, savings, idle capital, unrealized gains, and personal labor are not taxed. Money that does not move is not taxed. Physical currency remains in free circulation and is assessed only when it is deposited back into the financial system.

Because total money movement in a modern economy vastly exceeds the traditional tax base, the required tax rate under UTOMM can be extremely low while still fully funding government operations. High-volume financial actors and institutions necessarily contribute proportionally more, aligning fiscal responsibility with economic power and reducing the burden on ordinary citizens.

UTOMM eliminates the need for property appraisal systems, sales-tax tracking, intrusive audits, and expansive enforcement bureaucracies. Compliance becomes automatic, administrative costs are reduced, and transparency is restored. The true cost of government is made visible to the people, strengthening democratic accountability and restoring trust.

By aligning taxation with genuine economic activity, preserving private property rights, protecting cash circulation, and ensuring equity through simplicity, the Universal Tax on Money Movement offers a constitutional, humane, and efficient path toward funding government while faithfully serving its intended purpose.

prsmith's avatar

I agree with that. We should not be renting our assets from the government.

"High-volume financial actors and institutions necessarily contribute proportionally more, aligning fiscal responsibility with economic power and reducing the burden on ordinary citizens."

Every penny of which will be transferred to the people via higher prices thus disproportionaly affecting the poor. No matter how you slice it, We The People foot the bill. We The People would no longer see the taxation but we would definitely feel it with the poor feeling it more acutely. Am I missing something?

SoloD's avatar

If eliminating property tax, sales tax and income tax is not a worthwhile endeavor, then, with respect to government policies, what should the citizens of the USA be working on?
