Nationwide data covering 3 million Danish females link popular birth-control pills, Depo-Provera shots, and high-dose hormonal IUDs to elevated meningioma risk.
Note always synthetic progestins are used. Bioidentical progesterone should be used as it has a completely different safety profile, but no money to be made from bioidentical hormones for big Pharma. So, to hell with all the young women and the older women!
When will we stop trying to improve on mother nature by selling profitable, proprietary prescription drugs that interfere with normal biochemistry of the human body?
Impressive indeed! No wonder, as pharmaceuticals (being either blockers of or prosthetics for the function of a cell/tissue/organ) cannot be safe by definition. The only question is why there are such big differences in the increased risk (including OR) values in the picture and those in the text below the title: "Overall meningioma risk by hormonal contraceptive". They are supposed to be the same, aren't they?
You were looking at the wrong section of the article to match what the graphic said. The graphic’s figures are the same numbers as those in the section, “Current hormonal birth-control use and meningioma risk”. That is what the graphic was about, the “current use.”
good question. I have always wondered that. I have read but I'm not sure about it, that young women are giving roughly 10 times the amount of synthetic hormones than a woman would get for menopause symptoms because it is hard to shut down a young woman's natural cycle. Although I've never actually checked that out. Both age groups however get the same hormones just in different levels and combinations. A woman has to go out of their way to find bioidentical hormones which are much safer overall. But if this study is accurate, then we are really setting young women up for lots of problems later
I have been doing health and nutrition research for 65 years...and learned how even the wrong 'good' foods can damage the internal workings of the human body. Doctors don't study nutrition . They have no idea what their drugs and vaccines are doing internally in the body. . Our Creator designed the bloodstream to carry nutrients from the food we eat to every gland, organ, and cell...to provide energy and nourish them . The right food is fuel, which will provide energy and health. The wrong food or substances will break down the body...and toxic drugs and vaccines are the worst.

And, progesterone (cream) is available OTC, so harder to track usage.
IMO, progestins (Rx), give progesterone (transdermal cream) ‘a bad name’. Unfortunately. (And, on purpose?)

Is there a difference in susceptibility between contraceptive hormonal pills and HRT?

I used natural progesterone cream derived from wild yams to eliminate premenopause and menopause symptoms. Worked perfectly.
