You need to be 18 to do the following...... vote, join the military, register to vote, and become eligible for jury duty. They can also get a driver license, sign contracts, create a will, and open a brokerage account. Sue or be sued in your own name. Marry without the written consent of a parent (or guardian) and a judge. Buy or sell property, including real estate and stock.
