Several proteases work. Raw pineapple is most accessible. The others need to be separated from natto or silkworm guts as those have protein substrates that cause the proteases to get digested before they can get absorbed into the blood. (Ficin possibly excepted.) HCl and pepsin can do that.
I remember seeing something that showed the spike protein was genetically engineered to contain various harmful venom adenosines, including those from deadly sea snails, cobras, and even a weird green frog from from the Amazon (used for blow darts).

The internal date (File > Document properties, in PDF-Xchange-Editor) of the PDF is 2026-06-19. I looked at the first article of this volume and these dates were all over the place, in a different pattern.
I assume this is generally or entirely sound research, and it is obviously important. It should be published in a mainstream peer-reviewed journal.
