I purchased the book last week. I plan on reading it on my upcoming vacation. I read “Rape of the Mind” on my last trip.

We are lied to every moment of every day. From the artificial and rigged price at the gas pump, bill boards, news media including many alternative sites. I see the effects every day, even in my own family and circle of friends. Everyone is now part of a cult of like minded. Defy their perception then you become the enemy.
I’m not a religious person in the traditional sense of the meaning, though I do believe that there is a demonic haze engulfing the world. Propaganda is turning people into dazed, confused and angry zombies
The greatest hoax ever was... an industry injecting toxic matter into the human bloodstream. claiming it would stimulate the immune system.....it should be called murder. Was it ignorance or simply for profit? The bloodstream was designed to carry nutrients from unprocessed food to nourish the organs, glands and every cell. Nutrients create energy and health. There is no nourishment in lab-created injectable matter. It will injure and destroy the body and the brain. Mankind existed for eons of time, before Big Pharma came along.

I disagree that John’s recognition of the unnecessary and unjustified US attack on Iran as another example of a manipulated mind virus is an example of TDS. Trump himself recognized the Iran scam before he was co-opted on the issue, probably because he was threatened with the JFK/Charlie Kirk treatment (more likely than with release of Epstein material). Iran phobia and Russo-phobia fit John’s mind virus theory perfectly.
I think Trump knew the deal he made as soon as he took Adelson's money. It wasn't necessary to give that much cash to any politician just to buy sympathy to Israel. They already have that for much less on both sides of the aisle. It makes sense agreeing to attack Iran was part of that deal. Maybe he thought he could weasel out. I've heard it claimed he said "I'm going to take her money and then 'flock' her". If so, he should have known better.
Just finished John Leake's Mind Viruses book. Overall I thought it was a valuable contribution to understanding how masses can be led astray. I was expecting to promote it to my 2k+ Facebook friends.
However, then I read the chapter on the final mind virus about Iran where John couldn't resist returning to his turbo TDS. What he presented clearly was a long history of policy differences over the threat, or not, that Iran poses. All well and good. But then he makes the leap to insulting anyone who supports Trump's current strategy as being afflicted with a sort of Stockholm Syndrome, or some such.
Iran and how it fits into Trump's foreign policy strategy is a subject for legitimate debate and disagreement. But given that the Left and even a large portion of MAGA oppose Trump on this issue it is in no way comparable to the "psychic epidemics" of transgenderism, climate change, Covid terror, etc. Sad to ruin an otherwise enlightening book with John's current political axe grinding.
I enjoyed the book as well. The hardest thing any of us can do is question our own beliefs — and question the people we voted for. That difficulty runs equally on the left and the right, and it may be the single greatest obstacle to a genuinely "united" States.

I loathe the predator/Epstein class, of course. At the same time, it's easy to see why they have disdain for the masses. After all, the masses are so gullible and easily manipulated, and always fall for the same techniques based on fear, guilt, and to a lesser degree professed altruism (spread democracy). The same transparent crap never stops working. I think more are awake to this, thanks to John and others. Will enough ever wake up?

Question: Do you consider a "mind virus" to be similar to an "egregore"? Having studied the egregore phenomenon a few years ago, I found in reading your book that I'm reminded of the egregore phenomenon. The "day care center abuse" was what I considered an egregore -- it went away (as all egregores eventually do). I also consider the whole "transgender" ideology an egregore and I do believe that it will go away when many of these young people see no more amusement in the fad of pretending they are of a different gender than when they were born. I think this too, shall pass when the entertainment value is gone.

I agree with your perspective except I'm very sensitive to people accusing others of "profiting from a tragedy" as I had very nasty articles written about me - with regard to my quoting $150,000 for the domain name Ebola.com to people who were looking to purchase it during the 2014 outbreak - as a result of which some people still hate me, for no good reason.
Those articles were hypocritical predatory journalism, imo, which were written not only to profit from the tragedy but which additionally were defamatory in asserting moral superiority for reputational and financial reasons. I also call it lynch-mob journalism.
The fact is that we all profit from tragedy, even those of us who are vegans. As Alan Watts said, "Deciding to live is deciding to kill." And every time you drive to a restaurant you take the chance that you will unavoidably hit a child who runs out from between parked cars.
Those journalists would have had something to complain about if I had been selling some kind of snake oil product on the website, but I wasn't. What should be and is illegal, imo, is dishonesty in profiting from tragedies - which there certainly is a lot of, as your work points out.
But I think it's important to understand that we are in the midst of a pandemic of moralism - rooted, largely, in the precepts of religions - which has been going on for thousands of years, with the superstition that actions can be classified as morally right or wrong the cause of many of our problems.
For one thing it leads to a criminal justice system based on the idea of punishment - as a result of which many if not most people incarcerated in hellish jails come out worse enemies of society than when they went in - and most warfare, which isn't simply a response to naked aggression, is conducted by people who claim they hold the moral high ground, with their violence constituting "justice."
Moralistic social activism will inevitably be counterproductive, imo, however much support it drums up from people looking to be one of the "good guys" to escape the sense of guilt mountains of moralistic preaching have given us. As Watts wrote in "The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are:"
"...[M]oralistic preaching is... a failure: it breeds only cunning hypocrites - people sermonized into shame, guilt, or fear, who thereupon force themselves to behave as if they actually loved others, so that their 'virtues' are often more destructive, and arouse more resentment, than their "vices.'"
P.S. I don't claim to understand or represent Watts in any way, I'm still in Watts 101. But I think people who don't recognize how stellar he was are missing something extremely important. I think sometime in the future he will be remembered as the most important person of the last 100 years - if not all history up to now. If all he had done is give that one talk he might qualify for that, imo.
The Churchill quote is an astounding "false flag" in words: He is putting the blame on Germany for the Lenin-to-Russland infamous-trip, but exactly THAT was the deepest striving of the Englisch secret societies for decades before 1917, to keep Germany and Russia apart, at any and all costs. Friendly relations between Germany and Russia is anathema to them. That same scheme is being played out today with US, NATO and Ukraine, etc. trying to destroy Russia.
