I would propose that it is the system that corrupts doctors, not the other way around. Most doctors are kind, caring, and honest, but the few (and I hope it is just a few) who are susceptible, will succumb when the fruits of temptation are dangled before them systematically. We need a health care system which rewards doctors for providing good care, and offers them training which enables them to offer true healing to their patients, and not just "disease management" with dozens of pharmaceuticals. Speaking as one with an M.D., the practice of medicine can be quite discouraging when you lack the powers to effect true healing, and are stuck with prescribing poisons for your patients. I lost the battle in trying to get rid of seed oils in my retirement home. I presented a scientific review of their hazards with a full page of sample references from peer reviewed literature, but the “nutritionist” in charge at the corporation sent me two industry-supported articles about how healthy seed oils are because they lower cholesterol. I expect that, next, they will be feeding us meat from animals that have been injected with the bird fly “vaccine.” BTW, we now have an outbreak of COVID in my facility. I know one of these afflicted individuals. She just got her latest COVID booster a few weeks ago, along with a shingles and RSV shot.

Toxic "food" is an important contributor to chronic illness, but so are toxins in air, water, clothing, personal care products, medicines and vaccines themselves, and electromagnetic radiation. I have worked with physicians most of my career. Most are sincerely interested in the welfare of their patients, from my perspective. However, many of them are dissatisfied with their jobs, with the system, and with how it "forces" them to provide suboptimal care. They don't have an exit strategy. They are trapped within the system. It is easy to stand in judgment over them, but they can't easily escape. I know, because I was once one of them and through good fortune, was able to escape into Integrative Medicine. Most are not so lucky. Some are truly bad eggs, but many simply are caught in the quicksand culture of corruption and can't figure out how to get out. Some do quit. You are correct that we the patients need to take more responsibility for our health care and not accept the pill-pushing culture that has become the "standard of care" for most physicians. Much as I may empathize with physicians for their plight, I am horrified by the support the medical system, including over 90% of doctors gave to the mass murder project known as COVID-19. This was a disgusting abrogation of medical ethics that I have a lot of trouble forgiving.

I went down to their office with several books and lent them to the doctor who had injected my husband...who has apparently left his practice in the area. I can't seem to locate where he is.I wish he would give me my books. I put my name and phone on them. but he seems to have vanished a long with my books---name of Dr. Schylar Livingston-- I told him if he ever tried to inject my husband again with those kill shots I would sue him. I never caved. I said emphatically NO NO NO....and "go away". I refused to give vaccines or any other product that I knew was developed, tested or manufactured using cell cultures derived from the harvested organs of aborted babies. I refused to accept positions working with any physicians I thought were dishonest, and there were many of them. But I was acquainted with physicians who were honest, worked hard and really wanted to provide the best care they could. Many of them retired early because of the disincentives to be honest. I’m seeing more physicians going into concierge medicine which is giving them independence and the ability to practice “health care.” So, please don’t lump us all into the same pharma-controlled box.

How many people can spend 4 years in college, 4 years in medical school (usually going into debt to do so ) then do a minimum of 3 years internship/residency, and emerge to find they are de facto government employees, and employees of the medical corporatists (only in the case of government employment, without salary, benefits or retirement), and then decide to do something else? I agree with this. I tried to make myself superfluous by telling my patients how to stay healthy. "Healthcare" is what patients do; "medical care" is what physicians do. Ok. I still don't get it. Decreasing the *number* of doctors, though, would not help the chronically ill. It's not the *number* of doctors we have, right? It's what our doctors are *doing*, or *not doing,* that is the answer.
The doctors cannot make us healthy. It's like what Smokey the Bear said about forest fires...ONLY YOU can prevent forest fires and YOU are the most important director of your own health--not doctors and definitely not their drugs. Divest yourself from BIG everything. Find good food and prepare it yourself. Throw out your pills. Now there's a revolution worth having.
If a doctor (or anyone) gives a poor, uneducated patient good advice, for example, what to eat to improve their health, then the doctor's advice DID help the person be healthy. I'm parsing our language a bit, I suppose, but I think words matter. The key is that someone has given the person the health information when they did not already know it. You are assuming the patient is middle or upper class and has been educated.
I assume no such thing. There are plenty of very smart poor people. I would propose that it is the system that corrupts doctors, not the other way around. Most doctors are kind, caring, and honest, but the few (and I hope it is just a few) who are susceptible, will succumb when the fruits of temptation are dangled before them systematically. We need a health care system which rewards doctors for providing good care, and offers them training which enables them to offer true healing to their patients, and not just "disease management" with dozens of pharmaceuticals. Speaking as one with an M.D., the practice of medicine can be quite discouraging when you lack the powers to effect true healing, and are stuck with prescribing poisons for your patients. I lost the battle in trying to get rid of seed oils in my retirement home. I presented a scientific review of their hazards with a full page of sample references from peer reviewed literature, but the “nutritionist” in charge at the corporation sent me two industry-supported articles about how healthy seed oils are because they lower cholesterol. I expect that, next, they will be feeding us meat from animals that have been injected with the bird fly “vaccine.” BTW, we now have an outbreak of COVID in my facility. I know one of these afflicted individuals. She just got her latest COVID booster a few weeks ago, along with a shingles and RSV shot.

I have worked with physicians most of my career. Most are sincerely interested in the welfare of their patients, from my perspective. However, many of them are dissatisfied with their jobs, with the system, and with how it "forces" them to provide suboptimal care. They don't have an exit strategy. They are trapped within the system. It is easy to stand in judgment over them, but they can't easily escape. I know, because I was once one of them and through good fortune, was able to escape into Integrative Medicine. Most are not so lucky. Some are truly bad eggs, but many simply are caught in the quicksand culture of corruption and can't figure out how to get out. Some do quit. You are correct that we the patients need to take more responsibility for our health care and not accept the pill-pushing culture that has become the "standard of care" for most physicians. Much as I may empathize with physicians for their plight, I am horrified by the support the medical system, including over 90% of doctors gave to the mass murder project known as COVID-19. This was a disgusting abrogation of medical ethics that I have a lot of trouble forgiving.

I went down to their office with several books and lent them to the doctor who had injected my husband...who has apparently left his practice in the area. I can't seem to locate where he is.I wish he would give me my books. I put my name and phone on them. but he seems to have vanished a long with my books---name of Dr. Schylar Livingston-- I told him if he ever tried to inject my husband again with those kill shots I would sue him. I never caved. I said emphatically NO NO NO....and "go away". I’m seeing more physicians going into concierge medicine which is giving them independence and the ability to practice “health care.” So, please don’t lump us all into the same pharma-controlled box.

How many people can spend 4 years in college, 4 years in medical school (usually going into debt to do so ) then do a minimum of 3 years internship/residency, and emerge to find they are de facto government employees, and employees of the medical corporatists (only in the case of government employment, without salary, benefits or retirement), and then decide to do something else? There is a huge opportunity cost to becoming a physician. While others are making money and starting their lives, we are up all night taking care of people and seeing the horror of knife attacks, gunshot wounds, abused children, homeless veterans, etcetcetc. I worked 80-100 hours a week for peanuts. Totally exhausted and hungry. Every other night call, or every 3rd night. The brutality and indifference is shocking. We were cheap labor. Trash to those running the hospital.

I agree with this. I tried to make myself superfluous by telling my patients how to stay healthy. "Healthcare" is what patients do; "medical care" is what physicians do. Smoking, drinking too much, using drugs, being reckless and irresponsible causes a lot of medical problems that never needed to happen. Most of my patients ignored me. If I told someone with a melanoma it was not a good idea to go out nearly naked on a boat, she said "We're boat people." Another said "I've only had one." (melanoma). A young smoker, when I told him about the problems smoking causes, including lung cancer said "By the time I get it, they'll have a cure."
But nothing is as bad as government interference. The "Resource-Based Relative Value Scale" is nothing more than the Marxist theory of labor applied to physicians. When will we apply it to politicians? Is there a "Political Officeholder Improvement Act"? Is there a "National Lawyer Data Bank"?
Let the hangings begin.

What are the names of those charged? I am a physician, and when I think of the efforts I made for my patients and see what is going on in medical care these days, The good doctors have fled, or been kicked out. It began with LBJ and his vote-buying schemes of Medicare and Medicaid. Now millionaires come to see physicians complaining about ugly toenails, and wanting drugs they saw advertised on TV (which can damage the lives).They demand taxpayers pay for cosmetic stuff, and they get mad when you tell them Medicare does not pay for that. So, some doctors falsify the records so they can give the patients what they want and charge for it.
Sometimes I think I should never have become a physician. I did it because my mother died from TB after being terribly abused by the "US Public Health Service" because they assumed she was not taking medicine. She was, but she got it from an Army commissary, not from USPHS. I have had patients ask me, even in writing, to falsify their charts so that "insurance" would pay their bills for things not covered. I was also an ER doctor in St Louis. The patients, mostly young otherwise healthy males, made themselves sick with smoking, booze, drugs, violence and bad sex decisiions. Medicaid did not pay enough, and the hospital went broke and closed.
We have a pandemic of MORAL illness, not mental illness, in the USA. The government corrupted medical care. Medical care is not a proper function of government. Taxpayers dollars from gov't attracted the medical corporatists, and the main people who will put up with such a system are those who are either willing to sacrifice themselves for others, or those who are easily corrupted.
It is up to patients to fix this. I met a wonderful physician who was so fed up with medical malpractice and moral ineptitude of his fellow physicians that he was considering going back to school to become a lawyer and sue doctors that he saw and could prove were harming their patients. I am thankful for doctors who are honest and work to help their patients to the best of their knowledge. For those that sit on their hefty laurels, soaking in whatever the CDC, NIH, AMA, WHO, et al, throws at them, I pity them and pray they gain the common sense that will allow them to see past their noses.

When government inserted itself into healthcare in the 50’s it began the downward spiral whereby the greatest regulator of all time…the free market, was distorted beyond recognition. The government cannot regulate itself, for long. Bring the free market back and we’ll cure our ills.

It seems to me that we are kind of missing the point on why this seems to be afflicting all federal and state agencies and associated grifters, hangers-on, grant funding recipients, etc. All of this graft, corruption, embezzlement, etc. can be traced back to one common issue; the money and where it comes from. None of this would happen if the taxpayer's purses were not held open and robbed by the federal and state taxing agencies. With money comes corruption, its human nature. As a former 15-year federal employee, I can tell you without a doubt that there is not one federal or state bureaucrat that will work for free to enable this kind of corruption. There is not one grifter, embezzling doctor, fraudulent medical researcher, snake oil salesperson, etc. that will work to steal if the money were not available to them like ripe fruit ready for the plucking. Not. one.
The solution? Eliminate all federal funding for all of the health care and medical research entities and agencies that currently exist. Eliminate all state funding for all of the health care and medical research entities and agencies that currently exist. Remove all taxpayer funding for all services except those provided at the most local, immediately visible and accessible entities. This would apply to every single federal and state function that is not specifically authorized under our US and State constitutions. There was a reason that the founding fathers never wanted the public at large to realize that they could gain control of access to the public purse. Make every single government bureaucrat immediately accountable to his/her friends, neighbors, etc. If one cent is mis-spent, everyone that matters will know, and that person will be forced to act with conscience and morality. There is no alternative if we really truly want and desire an honest and accountable government.
"Eliminate funding . . ." I believe this is what Trump and DOGE are trying to do. Congress (including the Republican Party) will not cooperate. USAID and other corrupt sources will be back in action as soon as Trump completes his term in office.
That is why I believe what DOGE is doing is so valuable. But we need to take the next step that is critical to avoid exactly what you are describing. We must root out and completely destroy the elements in the government that enable this and eliminate all potential for it reproducing in future. That can only be accomplished by eliminating, root, branch, stem, etc. every unconstitutional federal and state government agency at the cabinet level all the way down to the janitor and the building he cleans. Out. All of them. Then write permanent legislation into the Federal Register preventing them from ever being stood up in the future. The taxpayers get ripped off either way. They pay for fraud, and/or they pay room and board for the perpetrators in a federal prison. How much better to just eliminate the insurance based system that invites fraud, and go to a consumer driven market-based system with transparent pricing!
It isn't even "insurance". Medicare and Medicaid are wealth transfer plans from one citizen to another. I was a 15 year old female orphan left with nothing when I got my first tax-vulnerable paycheck. Money I thought I had earned was confiscated from me and given to strangers. Most of the rest is pre-paid medical "plans" run by medical corporatists. I belong to Samaritan Ministry. We help one another pay medical bills. You can join if you don't smoke, drink, take drugs, or have sex outside of marriage. Medical FAKE "insurance" does not run like true insurance. Your auto insurance does not pay for brake jobs, tires, gas, batteries. It pays for unforeseen catastrophic losses.

What would surprise me is if it was just $15B. This has been going on longer, more often and for more money than what's now told. The only solution is to remove govt from all "healthcare" --not ask for more or "tighter" regulations. In early 1980s, doctors still made housecalls to elderly patients in my working-class neighborhood in Southeast Los Angeles. Govt takeover of "healthcare" destroyed all that, yet people are thankful to have insurance at all because of obummercare
Yeah...we grew up with doctors that made house calls-- often knew their patients as friends and neighbors. Times HAVE changed. Drastically. And it is time to stop casting blame and look for solutions. Educate your own "inner circle"...not with "e-mails" but actual books...underline the important passages and put your name in the inside reminding them to return them in about 8 weeks. That should be plenty of time....Or alternatively go to a copy center and have the important stuff copied. Mail the pages.

This is exactly timely now. We have so many doctors and yet almost everybody in America is chronically ill. And we have so many lawyers and there are lawsuits everywhere.
Ok. I still don't get it. Decreasing the *number* of doctors, though, would not help the chronically ill. It's not the *number* of doctors we have, right? It's what our doctors are *doing*, or *not doing,* that is the answer.
The doctors cannot make us healthy. It's like what Smokey the Bear said about forest fires...ONLY YOU can prevent forest fires and YOU are the most important director of your own health--not doctors and definitely not their drugs. Divest yourself from BIG everything. Find good food and prepare it yourself. Throw out your pills. Now there's a revolution worth having.
If a doctor (or anyone) gives a poor, uneducated patient good advice, for example, what to eat to improve their health, then the doctor's advice DID help the person be healthy. I'm parsing our language a bit, I suppose, but I think words matter. The key is that someone has given the person the health information when they did not already know it. You are assuming the patient is middle or upper class and has been educated.
I assume no such thing. There are plenty of very smart poor people. Did you see that video made of Fauci when he went door to door in a poor neighborhood shilling for the "vaccine" and offering "free shots" .....Most just shut the door in his face and one or two even engaged him in a conversation in which they told him point blank he was full of sh*t.
I never said anyone was not smart. I referred to not having certain knowlege and information.
Even more, it is what patients are doing. Smoking, booze, drugs, violence, bad sex decisions. IE Immorality.
