Jimmy Kimmel is a slanderous hack and I would be shocked if the Kirk Family does not sue him and the Network, into the Stone Age.

Good riddance.

Kimmel’s a Clown who isn’t funny.

News flash:

Political insults are not humorous.

Begone knave!

F@*k that guy, when you lose a job over lies like the Covid useless, dangerous, POS jab, and then have to hear his 💩, I have zero sympathy for a sold out, captured, elitist corporate prick.

I was going to say something similar. But since you have already done so, and in a much more polite and circumspect manner than I would have… I will just say Nicely Said!

Agreed. He's a BIG piece of sh** that should be flushed down the sewer.

It was only in my 40's, during covid, that I realized the incredible importance of comedians to a society. They are the court jesters, the only ones allowed to say what cannot be said to the king, to those in power. Think of Ricky Gervais at the Oscars. Think of George Carlin. Dave Chappelle calls out the woke, Louis CK had some great stuff on everyday racism that was far more effective than anything leftist. Jimmy Dore does better reporting than anything on TV, and I don't think it's a coincidence Joe Rogan does stand-up. They make people think in a way that most media do not, and generally speaking you cannot BS a comedian, they have great BS detectors.

So, for a comedian to become a paid propagandist is a total betrayal to their entire profession. They may call themselves comedians but I think they are traitors to that title. Kimmel is disgusting and so is Colbert.

He’s a court jester who served at the pleasure of King Pharma.

Yeah, remember that ugliness during covid. Karma.

A Persian saying (I think): “If you sit by the river long enough, you will see your enemies float by.” We are now at the point where they are starting to float by. We didn’t do it to them; they did it to themselves. Actions have consequences.

This Dimwit actually thought the laugh track was from real people.

Ignorant jackass.

I don’t watch him, but the clips during president Trumps first term were horrible. Well deserved. Just retire Jimmy.

I applaud the network, but I wish the FCC chair hadn’t piped up before ABC announced it. Now it can just be construed as government pressure. Republicans must stop making these asinine statements about reigning in hate speech like Pam Bondi did yday, and the FCC chairman today.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

I agree with you on the FCC chair's timing, but, from the perspective of Nexstar, Sinclair and ABC, the actual reason for his cancellation was their bottom line. $$$ The affiliates, for years, have found it difficult to sell ad time during Kimmel's show because so few people watched it. This latest drama was but the excuse they had been looking for to get rid of the loser, and I mean loser in the exact sense of the word. The network and its affiliates didn't need pressure from the FCC to do what they wanted to do. They saw their chance and grabbed it. Nothing to do with "government crackdown."

Vanessa Cunningham's avatar

Agree. It's always about the all mighty dollar. If he was raking in the bucks, this would be a different story.

LAnoncompliant's avatar

the Left is already crying a river about the gov't "clampdown"

Chaz Hoosier's avatar

It was a government clampdown.

LAnoncompliant's avatar

Maybe, in part. "After Party with Emily Jashinsky" podcast/Youtube (just for one) gets into more details...

Chaz Hoosier's avatar

Hint: It was government pressure. You just don’t think freedom of speech applies to anyone but people like you.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

I disagree. See my response to Allison, above. It's all about the money.

Chaz Hoosier's avatar

If your argument relies on just ordering me to ignore the statements of government appointed bureaucrats, you have a bad argument.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

I am merely suggested that you make contact with reality. I didn't order you to do anything. I said I disagree with your predictable and banal interpretation of events because it fits your tired world view.

Chaz Hoosier's avatar

The reality is that a Trump appointed bureaucrat bragged about pressuring ABC to fire a comedian. But go on and flop your obese arms in rage that people notice.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

Men who have to have the last word are exhibiting behaviors rooted in insecurity, arrogance, or a need for control, leading to a compulsion to assert power or dominate conversations in a way that has little to do with the actual truth of the matter. Also: ad hominem arguments instead of logic, etc.

I remember seeing that episode with the wheezy joke during the pandemic and though we were stuck at home watching a lot of television, I never watched him again.

A friend of mine used to say something rather nasty and tacky but it's perfect for Kimmel.

"Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you."

Kim Hayes's avatar

Makes me think of the Budlight ad, Target ad, Jaguar ad and Tractor Supply sponsoring 'woke' events. Cancel culture has evolved into 'Consequence Culture' , people are being held responsible for what they say & do. Cause & Effect! Tis....a beautiful thing! We all need to be held accountable for our actions & speech. Responsibility = the ability to respond!

ABC was most likely looking for any reason to send him packing for quite sometime. I'm sure ratings were down, like numerous other talk shows that consist of chronic insipid blithering!

carolyn kostopoulos's avatar

i would have fired him for his covid statement. of course, it's all of a piece- we, the superior people, gloat over the death of the unvaccinated neanderthals and over the murder of "hitler's" right hand man, charlie kirk.

it was really amazing to watch comics like colbert, kimmel and john oliver go from being actually funny to dispensers of government sponsored agitprop. you don't really think the writers at colbert would have come up with the dancing syringes without government money, do you?

every broadway producer got a $10 million tax payer subsidy to tide them over and when the theaters reopened, they were enforcement arms of bad government public health policy.

joni mitchell, neil young and howard stern disgraced themselves. imagine howard stern dealing with censorship?

i always thought the arts sheltered the creative rebellious. man, was i ever disappointed in the way they fell in lockstep

I haven't watched the late shows since Johnny Carson left and SNL got dull.

Suzy Cue's avatar

When SNL started in 1975, it was excellent…they made fun of anybody and everybody. I actually remember watching the very first episode. Over the last few decades, it became absolutely intolerable and disgusting.
