My concern is the biodefense cartel will push two frontline treatments for pneumonic plague:
The fluoroquinolones, such as Cipro, which cause tendon rupture in about 1-2% of patients, with more prevalence in patients on corticosteroids or over 65.
Gentamicin, an amino-glycoside which also has a 2% risk of causing permanent deafness and temporary kidney failure and potential long term loss of kidney function.
While 1-2% sounds low, prophylaxis of possible exposures to pneumonic plague is part of the CDC guidelines for managing outbreaks and preventing the spread of the disease, which will vastly increase risk of adverse effects over a large population.
If this is sounding like a repeat of COVID, where recent assessments say 2% of people suffered the adverse effects--including death, not just sore arms or a fever--of the shots, and the victims numbered in the millions, then you are appropriately concerned, in my opinion, that this is another assault facilitated by a scary disease to maim millions for later iatrogenic care.
