It seems that the list of priorities for most US politicians is Israel 1st, Ukraine 2nd, America last.

We live in a very small World. I wonder what will happen when a NATO country is attacked and Article 5 is invoked...will you argue isolationism then as well? We have failed enough of our allies...we're going to find ourselves under attack with lots of enemies and zero allies to help us if we aren't careful.

Most who comment about Israel in discussions have a fundamentally flawed understanding of what Israel is: Israel is a CIA/MI6 construct.

From inception. Birthed with Dulles as midwife, the premise of Israel as the Jewish state that had been dreamed of since the diaspora was convenient and sellable after WWII with moral blessing.

In truth no Israeli PM or leader will come to power unless the CIA/MI6 approve them. And if they stray from their master they get the Rabin treatment.

For the primary western powers to maintain a beachhead in the ME, proximity to oil, global trade routes, any price will be paid – by the Deep State apparatus that controls the CIA/MI6. This is not necessarily the same policy of presidents and elected representatives of the people.

Remember, whatever Israel does is blessed by the CIA/MI6, the Deep State. No matter who is the leader. Israel is a proxy of the Deep State. If you're mad at what Israel does then substitute “the CIA/MI6” for Israel and her leaders every single time. For all things of geopolitical interests in the ME and world that relies on that region. With the nice layer of plausible deniability to shield the US/UK from criticism.

Plaints that Israel goes off starting wars and who do they think they are dragging the US into their conflict and other sorts of blame shifting to Israeli leaders take on a much different and more understandable meaning when restated as the Deep State starting wars across the globe and who does the CIA/MI6 think they are dragging the US into their conflict.

This context will be closest to the truth. Reimagine this simple paradigm and the meaning of what Israel really is and why it does what it does grows crystal clear.

Thing is, realizing the things that Israel is blamed for as anger rises at them takes on a more uncomfortable meaning when it hits you that if we want to change Israel’s behavior and actions we, it is our responsibility moreso than the typical Israel’s, need to make our Deep State stop what it is doing there. The onus is on we, Americans (and Brits). And that’s a much more hazardous to our health, wealth and freedom proposition than wagging our fingers at the Israeli puppets the Deep State controls.

The tail doesn't wag the dog. Facing the growling mouth of a dog is more perilous than facing its tail. And that’s the truth of it.

Considering that Israel has apparently blackmailed many powerful/influential politicians and decision makers, and has been able to assassinate many people in other countries with impunity, and is the only country to have unacknowledged nukes that are not subjected to any type of inspections or nuclear agreements, I think it would be better to equate Israel to the part of the dog that has teeth rather than the tail.

Here, readers not named Michael G. Fons who obviously can't follow the reality of things, is how we apply reality to Michael G. Fons' post:

"Considering that *the CIA/MI6 Deep State* has apparently blackmailed many powerful/influential politicians and decision makers, and has been able to assassinate many people in other countries with impunity, and *controls* the only *proxy* country to have unacknowledged nukes that are not subjected to any type of inspections or nuclear agreements, I think [dele] *the CIA/MI6 Deep State is* [dele] the part of the dog that has teeth. [dele]"

See how that works? Easy-peasy. Cuts right through the façade directly to truth. For those not named Michael G. Fons.

LOL! Right after I call out the actual Jew haters! That's rich! You ain't too bright, are you? For liking to read stuff you disagree with you ain't so good at that are you?

What I describe is reality, an uncomfortable one for many Jews and Israel supporters. What I consider myself to be. But I can call out the puppetmasters of the state of Israel for who they are without hating Jews (myself). Called out from my deep love for my fellow Jew and the homeland, that for all real wrong reasons she was born, does exist. Born into slavery to the US/UK Deep State masters - who imposed their will on Jews at the tip of the same needles that Mengele used during plandemic, most injected with bioweapon population on the planet. I describe the reality of her creation and usefulness to the US/UK Deep State because I love so much I want the slaves to break free from the yoke and chains they were born into. And claim their God-given freedom - true freedom - they've been denied their entire existence.

But, sure, go ahead and call me a Jew-hater. The simple mind of a slave will reject many who seek to liberate them. Stockholm Syndrome, or whatever you want to call it. That's Mike Bond. So sad. I'll pray for you.

Yeah, no doubt you're right. Israel's history provided no right to the land and yes, it was an agreement reached by the WWII victors that gave Israel a homeland carved from the United Kingdom which affected virtually no one since there was no government for that ancient land (certain no Palestine). But Israel was given the land legally and they have a right to occupy it and to defend it. Yes, Israel is our eyes and ears in the Middle East and they are allies which give us good reason to support them. I am proud of the fact that the US has stood by them irrespective of the evil raised against them and I hope that friendship, tenuous though it might be, continues. I support Israel.

There is a ton of "between the lines" packed into this post John. It covers a LOT of ground. Though Washington was right, the world today is an infinitely 'smaller' place with instantaneous weapons and communications.....and propaganda and knee jerk reactions that are just as fast and just as dangerous. I submit that the "monied elites" on BOTH sides benefit greatly from the 'manufacturing' of conflict, war and the marketing of HATE.

Ron Paul repeatedly attempted to make people understand why they needed to stay home take care of our own business, stop attempting to be a policeman of the world. Ron Paul was squeezed out of the Fox News 2008 Presidential Debate even though he had a higher popularity than the other candidates. So, DUH.......we don't have Free & Fair Elections, we only have SELECTIONS. Which is why I always write my own name on every blank slot in protest. Who knows how to govern me best? only ME. If it's a Local election I participate, since I firmly believe we will RESTORE the Planet & Humanity from the ground up and LOCAL is very important.

Not to mention: Israel gets more foreign aid from America than all African countries combined. That's just ridiculous, they have become parasites. Also they need to register as a Foreign Agent in America. AIPAC, AFIL, ZOA, CIAC, ADL and it goes on & on. Here is a list of their Lobby Groups.......ridiculous. https://ifamericansknew.org/us_ints/introlobby.html

Besides, read Shlomo Sands book: The Invention of the Jewish People . Shlomo Sand is an Austrian-born Israeli post-Zionist historian and socialist. https://www.amazon.com/Invention-Jewish-People-Shlomo-Sand/dp/1788736613

President Trump is the first President to actually quit interfering with Israel’s destiny. Israel has lived with constant attacks since its founding in 1948. Most Presidents have kept Israel on a tight leash preventing it from ensuring its ongoing existence. Israel has given land for peace multiple times and still received attacks. The Intifada that the Left is promoting is one long terrorist campaign. Israel withdrew from Gaza in the summer of 2005 leaving all the infrastructure in place for Gaza to have a jewel on the Mediterranean. Instead, Hamas built terror tunnels and spent years launching missiles at civilian communities before culminating in the October 7 attack on civilians and the capture of hostages.

The US has not poured a fraction of the treasure into Israel that it has into Ukraine, Iraq, or Afghanistan and has not sacrificed American troops. Israel is the only Western style democracy in the region and is a valued partner of the United States. The immense Hamas propaganda machine amplified by the Left and the ancient anti-Semitic animus toward the Jewish people is a threat to Israel — but it is a greater threat to Western nations who at best ignore the disruptive Palestinian protests based on lies or at worst encourage and support those protests. Trump is focused on cleaning up the mess in our nation with our threats from abroad and is showing Netanyahu the same respect to deal with the threats to his nation.

Thank you. I was waiting on someone to chime in with this side of the story.

As a Christian who believes in the Word of God as truth and believes also in the sovereignty of God, it’s interesting to me to read others comments stating the truth between the lines. The Bible is the only book to survive throughout the ages as consistent (no matter what some may try to tell you) and verifiable. So when I read of Israel becoming a nation in one day in Isaiah and then seeing that historically happened, I’m not surprised. When I see an influx of Jewish people coming back to their homeland, I am not surprised. When I see others claiming Israel is somehow the “invader”, when there is plenty of archaeological proof that Israel as a nation and as a country existed thousands of years ago, vs the lack of ANY proof of Palestinian control of the land until AD 165 when Israel was renamed as Palestinia by the current Emperor who hated the Jews and exiled them from the land… I am not surprised.

And, when I read in Revelation that NO COUNTRY will stand in support of Israel at the end, so that God can receive the Glory when they are attacked and their attackers are defeated… I am not surprised at the comments criticizing Israel. No matter what you believe, in the end God will remain sovereign.

Every Christian that believes in the salvation of Jesus Christ will understand that. And everyone else will not.

This is absolutely straight, "Hasbara" propaganda. Thanks for spelling out the Israeli government position for us. I will mention one fact that you did not state:

Since 2005, Gaza has been surrounded by walls and barbed wire on all land borders. Access by sea is policed by Israel Navy patrols--if Gaza fishermen go just a little too far out, they are fired upon by the Israelis. There was an airport in Gaza, but it has been closed since 2005. In short, Israel controls all access in or out of Gaza--nothing gets in or out without their say so. Israel uses this situation to control everything in Gaza, including what food the population gets to eat. (Israeli politicians have boasted about how they put Gaza "on a diet".) This is hardly leaving Gaza to be "a jewel on the Mediterranean".

It is hardly surprising that the Palestinians would rebel against this situation, and October 7th was plainly exactly that. And Israel has plainly used that rebellion as an excuse to destroy the infrastructure they so kindly left behind in 2005. We have all seen the videos of the grotesque destruction that has resulted.

And thanks to you for spelling out Hamas's position for us.

And I will mention one fact that you did not state:

That since 2005, Hamas has waged a (largely unreported in Western media) daily war against Israel that started with suicide bombings and graduated to rocket firing. The closing of the borders was a reaction to this, not the cause of it.

And the 'Palestinians rebellion' on October 7th? If anything has ever been grotesque in the history of mankind, then after the nazi holocaust, this was surely it. You seem to be pretty much apologising for it. Your friends in Hamas will never stop their campaign of hatred until Israel is destroyed, and every Gazan that dies along the way is simply a publicity opportunity for them to get people like you to raise your voice in support.

The truth is, we all know that Hamas could stop the conflict tomorrow by releasing all the hostages that they haven't yet murdered and ceasing their attacks on Israel. Instead they continue to use the millions in aid funnelled by the morons of this world to build more tunnels and buy more weapons. And hide behind their own women and children like the cowards they are.

As a student of history in college and a continued interest in history my whole life, I don't see the support from Americans for the Ukraine or Israel as a "not America first." I believe they see control of wars and other countries as their America first. Just as Americans, who were clueless, supported VietNam war, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq etc wars as America first. Most people are clueless about the real reasons for those wars-American control, American power and resources for America from other countries. On the other hand, being Jewish I have a differnt take on Israel. All my grandparents were ousted from Russia and zRomania so many years ago-and only because they were Jewish. I had relatives diein the Holocaust. Of course, the killing of those living in what they call Palestine(BTW they are Arabs, not Palestinians) is tragic and I see that. But hello-one Jewish state that more than once agreed to a 2 state solution(including in 1948) and the Arabs refused. And shall Jews ever forget Oct 7th. Jews have been scapegoats since the days of Constantine and anti-semitism is the highest ever in the US. Most people would like to see nothing more than from the "river to the sea." There are fewer Jews in the world now than before WW2. Keep in mind, America also wants to keep a foothold in the Middle East and Israel helps them do that. It's not all altruism. Thanks for letting me have my say. VietNam started me on the road to peace everywhere(and even a stint in univ. occupations and in jail ). Peace to all.

In an interview with McConnell when confronted with the cost of the Ukraine involvement, said words to the effect, all that money comes back here.
