My contempt for Hotez is spreading. I regularly quiz my doctors (and at 77 I see more than a few) about what they know. Do they know that statins do not extend life expectancy? Do they know what DMSO is and how it’s used for pain? Do they know about turmeric for arthritis? Do they know that berberine lowers blood sugar as well as metformin? They almost always say they don’t. They know what insurance and pharmaceuticals want them to know. And they are quite smug about it. That’s the tell.
