I appreciate your thought provoking topics and views. I don’t always agree with you, but isn’t that the point here…points of view. Personal opinion and sharing experience. Sharing history and debating a topic.

Same here, John! I appreciate your take on such a wide variety of topics. Divergent viewpoints help us all, and your critical thinking/writing skills are always thought provoking.

It's your Sub Stack; you can't please everyone. It is your prerogative to wander where you please. If people don't like it, they can bow out.

Keep up the good work John. I love Focal Points - even when we don’t always agree 🙂

Mr. Leake, I enjoy all of your commentary. It is often truly inspiring. Whether I agree with everything you write is beside the point. You are educated, articulate and entertaining in a philosophical and erudite way. Please, keep writing and giving us pleasurable, thought-provoking and inspiring commentary. Damn the torpedos!

John I love your work looking at issues.that might be the experiences we as humans go thru even emotions. Sorta a All in the Family and Twilight Zone the cycles of seasons life death taxes somewhere in between. We can improve health freedom with dignity. I greatly appreciate your honesty in this stack refreshing keep it going. Thank you.

Sometimes I just need to read about something else apart from health. Being a health professional myself, I appreciate Dr McCullough & Nicholas Hulscher’s well researched health related posts but sometimes I need a break from that. Everytime, John posts something, I read it first - before all other posts. John’s well researched, different perspective on current issues is refreshing. I rely on John to give me the facts and keep me updated . I first learnt of Charlie Kirk’s death through John’s post.

Very glad that won’t change

Glad you’re not going anywhere! I enjoy both the medical and the universal sides. Definitely would follow you if you decide to “do your own thing”!

Phew! I was quite concerned as your writing is a highlight of my mailbox. Your thought processes, experiences, educational background and ability to recall are amazing and like no other person I have encountered. When I get to read your writing it causes me to think about things in a unique way. The other day I honestly thought about what your parents could be like. I imagined what would be different in my life if I had the same background as you did. Probably TMI. Thank you.

Public "health" is inextricably intertwined with politics. You can't discuss "public health" without involving politics if you are to make sense of "public health."

"Public" suggests a collectivist viewpoint. True health is an individual issue, which should have nothing to do with politics. Yet, here we are, with government totally enmeshed in our health, turning what should be individual health into "public health."

There's no avoiding politics when discussing health. I wish we could, but we can't.

Thank you for the reassurance, John Leake, I don't like change very much. The Bible says not to meddle with those given to change. (Meddle, is mingling, or mixing, as in meddling alloys.) I note here that many politicians campaign on "change"... every time they campaign. I believe that a continual state of flux is not healthy. Thanks for staying the course, John Leake, and abiding in the old paths, and the right way.
