Back then I only knew one girl who was labeled as such. She was in my first grade class and the teacher informed us before she came to class that she was mentally retarded and we were to treat her with respect like we should treat anyone else.
She never went to the next grade. She just kept repeating the first grade for a few years to hopefully help her learn how to interact with others.
When I had her in my class she was eleven years old but anyone could tell by interacting with her that it was more like interacting with a child more than half her age.
Her name was Emily and everyone treated her with kindness and respect.
I think of her sometimes and the impact she had on our little lives as we too learned how to deal with others different from ourselves.

After an angio and a stent in 2009, I began a study of modern medicine, procedures, as well as the history of the entire discipline. Within 6 months I took myself off of Statins and the "cocktail" of "heart disease" medications they had put me on. I changed eating and dropped 35 pounds and only have a "physical" every two or three years to keep a family physician on the string in case I ever need stitches. It is impossible to look into the history of medicine and not walk away with the understanding that you are studying a death cult. One that has nothing to do with human health and is at all times - guided by an amoral disconnection from the scientific method or ethical values, as a normal person might know them to be. Just as it took centuries too learn that certain "diseases" were merely vitamin shortages or nutritional imbalances, it is going to take us another century or two to realize that the charades of Edward Jenner and Louis Pasteur are merely ghoulish fantasies. Vaccines and inoculations are the cause of most health mysteries and monetizing the advancement of their use is purely criminal. Autism is a clear example of that. But if you look at the data surround Sudden-Infant-Death-Syndrome (SIDS) the dark and nefarious fangs of the monster can be seen even more clearly. Thank you John....keep up the good fight....though revealing the truth to a credulous populations remains decades away.

So sad. One in thirty-one now have ASD and the "scientific consensus" is that no one knows what causes it. Nor what caused the meteoritic rise in autism rates (concurrent with the increase in childhood vaccines). But they are positively and absolutely sure it isn't the vaccines.

John as a true crime guy why isn’t a trial by jury scenario used on the pharmaceutical industry who is gas lighting the world. If a defendant can be sent to the gas chamber based on circumstantial evidence why not pharma. At what point does the preponderance of evidence equal a conviction?
Anecdotal evidence becomes a straw man for science to hold out as a defense. If I know five people who take the same bear trail and they all come back bitten and clawed up by bears I won’t go down that trail. And I don’t blame the trail for all the bear caused injuries even though I didn’t actually see the bear. The trail didn’t cause the injuries. Anecdotal evidence is enough for me and the local authorities to close the trail. No gold standard study is required by anyone.
Pharma and Science hide behind anecdotal evidence as a means of obtaining funding and maintaining authority over common sense. Every other standard of recognition of danger is meaningless.
At what point will anecdotal evidence be seen as a spectrum and assigned a grade that gives it value and a use comparable to the gold standard scientific evidence. At some point the preponderance of evidence should put the onus on industry to prove its conclusions beyond a reasonable doubt to a jury of non experts. Gas Lighting is not a Gold Standard and a jury would expose the fallacy of the gold standard in everyday life. We don’t live in a test tube or a lab.
