Iran holds almost all of the cards this time around. If they had a more reliable water supply that did not rely on desalinization plants - and maybe they do and I have not heard about it - they would literally be unstoppable due to a few factors.
First, warfare has changed. This is not WW2. Drones and missiles are sufficient to defend one's home turf against someone who has immense logistical challenges of trying to bring in manpower and equipment via the sea. America has war-gamed a direct confrontation with Iran for forty years and has always concluded it was a losing proposition. Blind Trump supporters and media slop eaters cannot get their heads around this.
Second, Iran and its allies are already wrecking Israel to the point of desperation. Israel cannot defend itself from the onslaught of missiles coming in from multiple fronts. Netanyahu will soon be captured and removed from power by Israelis. The surfaced anti-corruption interviews as well as the loss of thousands of IDF soldiers who, at the end of the day, wield the ultimate power inside of Israel will shut the war down and cry uncle. They have no choice if they do not want Israel to be razed to the ground as they did to Gaza. No airports out of Israel are open at this time.
Third, the world is not going to tolerate exorbitant energy prices for long. Now that oil is over $110/bbl, the pressure on Trump and the USA is going to go ballistic. Add to that the fact that Russia and Iran are now making far more on oil than they did before the war started and it is easy to see that Trump was duped into a nightmare (by Kushner, Witkoff and their Israeli handlers) he cannot easily wake up from. People who disagree with these facts - and they are facts - are living in peak delusion, the kind that pushes people's pride to say more, more, more. More bombs, more boots on the ground, more sacrifices at home, more dead soldiers...all so the war profiteers can get richer and richer.
The only silver lining to this will be Israel learning a harsh lesson that punching above your weight carries consequences that can last for decades if not longer.
The "British upper class"... who has been more culpable for crime and mischief than these self satisfied snots. The world would be a safer place without these guys and their misguided "intelligence". The society is failing in the U.K. under their 'guidance', and the misinformation for more than many decades in promoting false science, like "global warming" and the "Darwinian Theory of Evolution" coming from these freaks leaves me with an aloof despite for them, their "intellect", and their "higher education". Covid 19 predictions from them are telling.
Sums it up nicely....Britain IS The Empire, the current embodiment of it, the mechanism having been constructed by the infamous Rhodes/Milner gang who stirred up the Boer War, to help keep their banking chums in gold and diamonds from S Africa and then planned and executed WW1 to stop those blasted Germans from stealing the Empires trade monopolies. Their sense of entitlement has gone global

Or, the RG will collapse, USA will avoid destroying refineries, Venezuelan oil will pick up, mothballed refineries in Eastern Caribbean will be brought back on line.

You say that Roosevelt told Stalin at Yalta that he wanted to bring democracy to Iran and that since Russia already had enough oil, they might as well leave it to America, since the war was almost over.
You also say he told Churchill that he didn't need oil because both the Americans and the British were on the same boards of the same multinationals?
