Susan. There lies within us all the tendency to do good or bad in our existence. It is a continual battle twixt good and bad. Not judging or preaching but the scriptures state, "God looked and He saw that the thoughts of man were on evil continually..." It is true. Temptation is always there. Doing wrong brings unhappiness and guilt though we can become desensitized. We are all made of the same material and subject to temptation.
Generally speaking men are more likely than women to give into temptation. This is true of adultery and other sexual sins. That is why prostitution and sex trafficking are so common anymore. Unless a sure bond exists twixt a man and woman, composed of a depth of affection that is of the mind and soul and spirit, there will be a big chance of failure to be true. I believe women are more inclined to embrace fidelity than my gender.
After 33 years of dealing practically with women alone, I embraced the reality that learning is a voyage and not a harbor. As to love and affection, there comes a point in time where a man and wife have so much for each the other that forms a deep desire to not hurt the other but that only comes with knowing who and what a woman is to the man, and who and what a man is to the woman. These are all rudimentary to a dedicated understanding and affection along with respect and understanding.

I think China may be a bit more of a bandit of our technologies. *smiles* And I would further say that there are many China students over here studying/spying, then go back to China to show them all the new inventions that they can use thanks to the U.S. of A.-that's what one call meddling: big time!

The US government may get changed out every 4 years but it stays remarkably the same despite the new faces. You can trace the different administrations from today back to 1945, and quickly list the Presidents and their cabinets major positions and ask any AI you like to give you a list of how many of them were CFR members. I think it's over 50% at least.... enough to get the voting to go in any direction they wanted.
Then ask who was instrumental in setting up the CFR.
Jungian yargon - I mean jargon - hasn’t done much for me until this helped somewhat, but Clinton’s acts were not at all classic projection - at least IMO - since she (and they) knew exactly what they were doing.
As far as how this “shadow” casts its influence on us, other than its being always there, the metaphor hasn’t reached me entirely yet. Perhaps it’s a reference to being “afraid of one’s own shadow,” itself a metaphor, and shadows become darker the lighter it is outside. So to (paradoxically) rid one of one’s scary shadow is to more and more live in the darkness, so as not to perceive it. No light, no scary shadow. My minimal exposure to the lingo has been a particular Jungian SS writer who seems an overly emoting political partisan, anti-Christian (via what I’d call a kind of ad hominem ignorance) etc, so maybe I’ll seek a better explanation of this Jung stuff …

Susan. There lies within us all the tendency to do good or bad in our existence. It is a continual battle twixt good and bad. Not judging or preaching but the scriptures state, "God looked and He saw that the thoughts of man were on evil continually..." It is true. Temptation is always there. Doing wrong brings unhappiness and guilt though we can become desensitized. We are all made of the same material and subject to temptation.
Generally speaking men are more likely than women to give into temptation. This is true of adultery and other sexual sins. That is why prostitution and sex trafficking are so common anymore. Unless a sure bond exists twixt a man and woman, composed of a depth of affection that is of the mind and soul and spirit, there will be a big chance of failure to be true. I believe women are more inclined to embrace fidelity than my gender.
After 33 years of dealing practically with women alone, I embraced the reality that learning is a voyage and not a harbor. As to love and affection, there comes a point in time where a man and wife have so much for each the other that forms a deep desire to not hurt the other but that only comes with knowing who and what a woman is to the man, and who and what a man is to the woman. These are all rudimentary to a dedicated understanding and affection along with respect and understanding.
John tends to a deeper descriptional tendency than I in such matters but there is one woman I met among others who had been deeply hurt to the point I attached myself to her well being and reached that place I could not wilfully hurt her in any way. That was one and a half decades ago. And it will last to my death. When two are bound to each the other by the dynamic of affection it drags others into the picture.(respect, understanding and fidelity) This is a friendship, not a romance and it beggars description as to depth and dedication.
It is a cruel world because of selfish greedy people with a good example being the jab push based on love of money for specific people while others pay the price of their health, well being and even deaths. There is little that is sacred anymore.
