Nothing more dangerous than an insecure physician who cops to the party line.

John, This is a harrowing historic account of how it is that, sometimes, only fellow visionaries recognize each other's merit. Instrumentally, here is a template from Semmelweis' 1861 letter to Scanzoni, brought forward in time so that it could be utilized today:

" However, Mr. [ insert COVID health official ], should you continue to educate your pupils in the doctrine of [ insert orthodox COVID protocol such as remdesivir or COVID shot ] without having refuted my teaching, then I declare you before God and the world to be a murderer. "

Things haven't changed, have they? We're still dealing the same flawed human species and the same dynamics that underlie power structures and overtake all institutions.

SteelJ,

Human nature is the same, and it should continue to be the same for the foreseeable future, not least because human nature has not changed since the beginning of recorded history.

But hopefully we can gradually escape the vicious circle of repeating past travesties by slowing working-out how to set-up institutions that fully account for human flaws and imperfections. The founders of the USA made some really big progress in this regard, and their work could be continued.

An easy example of overcoming our limitations is that, when dividing the last part of a pie between two people, the principle or rule of "I cut, you pick" is one type of rule which fully accounts for -- and corrects for -- human flaws and imperfections.

While it is an easy case, the outcomes are always fair under the rule of "I cut, you pick."

We are the Borg. Resistance is futile.

Minimum quantile resists anyway.
