However there is compelling evidence of the harm of pasteurization, particularly today’s UHT (ultra high temperature) techniques.
Anyone interested in the studies can find data at westonaprice.org.
In particular the commercial baby formulas by Nestle and Ross (Pfizer) are laden with soy, seed oils and sugars. These ingredients are inferior and potentially harmful for optimal infant development.
There's an important exception to the principle that full health can be attained through eating natural food, or indeed any kind of food.
It is not yet widely enough known, but the immune system can only function properly with at least 50 ng/mL (125 nmol/L = 1 part in 20,000,000 by mass) circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D. This is 2.5 times the 20 ng/mL which governments and many doctors accept as healthy - but that is only sufficient to supply the kidneys for the role they play in regulating calcium-phosphate-bone metabolism.
Vitamin D is found only in very small amounts in a few foods - including those which are fortified with vitamin D3 cholecalciferol or the less effective, artificial, vitamin D2 ergocalciferol. Please see the research cited and discussed at: https://vitamindstopscovid.info/00-evi/.
Sufficient vitamin D3 for 50 ng/mL circulationg 25-hydroxyvitamin D can be generated in the skin, by the action of short-wavelength, high energy per excited electron, ultraviolet B light ca. 297 nanometres. However, such light always damages DNA. The amount required for good immune system health would significantly raise the risk of cancer.
The above page includes bodyweight and obesity status based recommendations from New Jersey based Professor of Medicine on how much vitamin D3 to supplement, on average, per day to attain at least 50 ng/mL circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D. For 70 kg 154 lb body weight without obesity, this is about 125 micrograms a day, AKA 5000 IU. This sounds like a lot, but it is a gram every 22 years, and pharma-grade vitamin D3 costs about USD$2.50 a gram ex-factory.
The most important priority for proper vitamin D3 supplementation is women of childbearing age, since, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy, their babes-to-be's brains are building themselves, and they evidently need a good supply of 25-hydroxyvitamin D to do this properly. Regarding low circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D being a huge risk factor (in pregnancy and early childhood) of preeclampsia, pre-term birth, mental retardation, ADHD and autism: https://vitamindstopscovid.info/00-evi/#3.2. Regarding dementia, Parkinson's disease, neurodegeneration https://vitamindstopscovid.info/00-evi/#3.3.
John writes: "The most conspicuous and astonishing feature of the human condition is that—despite all of our advances in developing civilizations that protect us from the hostile elements of nature—we have made zero advances in overcoming our nature to fight each other instead of developing more sophisticated ways for resolving conflicts." Not true. I have done so. (Thus, as a result of the affront, we should arrange a North Dallas Duel as soon as possible. lol) The problem is not the lack of advances (though looking at most universities and law schools it is easy to see why one might assume a failure to advance). Rather, the problem is one of bringing money to fund the advances. Follow the money. Peacemakers strip profits from arms dealers, etc. Peacemakers are not in favor among those who control the treasury. Conflict pays. For advances see Taming the Wolf: Peace through Faith and Divine Collaboration, a stack.
I always read you articles as I find I get to the end without my mind wandering off. This to me is a sign of good writing. I also like your references to classical literature a lot! Knowing what The Odyssey had to say about things gives interesting context, "Plus ca change, plus ca reste le meme." (Sorry, don't know how to do accents.). So a liberal arts education has some value after all! I had my doubts after all the academics went mad during "Covid."
Vaccines have done a lot of good. They have recently almost eradicated polio. Serotypes 2 and 3 no longer occur anywhere, and 1 only in Pakistan and Afghanistan. They have almost eradicated diphtheria, at least in the First World. A German boy at a Waldorf school died of it earlier this year. It is rare now to contract tetanus, but only because most are vaxxed for it. The spores are still present in the digestive tract of most mammals.
It would be bad if rubella again caused birth defects. We ought to allow schoolchildren to choose to be deliberately exposed to the milder contagious diseases: measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox. Hep A. Maybe pertussis if families with newborns were warned to take precautions. Nosodes are another alternative.
Hygiene and sanitation do little to protect from airborne respiratory diseases like measles, flu, and pertussis.
I recognize that all vaccines are dangerous. Many have genes which predispose us to disabling or deadly vaccine reactions. I agree that vaccines should be minimized. But who do you know that has gotten tetanus or rabies? Or polio? That’s thanks to vaccines.
I had a roommate permanently crippled by polio in a Kansas City polio outbreak. My mother had a neighbor when she was a child killed by diphtheria. My father saw a man die of tetanus in his father’s doctor’s office. Some of the vpds are very serious and vaccines DO prevent them. Cleaning wounds prevents half of tetanus cases, but many wounds are too deep to clean or so slight as not to be noticed. I personally would recommend the DT series after three years old. No pertussis.
You have to be aware that you’re playing the odds. Most people most of the time are healthier without vaccines. But you need to think about some of them. Like meningococcal meningitis. I bought the nosode for my daughter when it required the vaccine her senior year in high school, which has probably worn off by now. I have decided not to worry about it. It is very rare, but it can occur and it often kills or disables. The vaccine is dangerous, but if you refuse it, as I did, you have to think about the risk. Maybe get the nosode. It was a long time ago, 1863, but I had my great great grandmother and four of my great grandfather’s brothers and sisters die in an outbreak of meningococcal meningitis. Hygiene and sanitation do little to prevent it. One person coughs, another breathes, and therr you go.
I would not like to see anti-vaccinism become a religion as idolatrous as the vaccine religion.
Greetings Cia, thank you for your thoughtful and informative reply. We discuss all of these nuances in our book, and we give due consideration to all of the points you make. We do not dismiss the concept of vaccines, but rather subject them to critical scrutiny. Best regards, John Leake
Thank you for your reply! I read in a review of your book that you recognized the role of vaccines in preventing crippling polio and congenital rubella syndrome, and I was relieved to see that. Your book sounded balanced enough that I wanted to buy it, and have pre-ordered it. I completely support critical scrutiny of vaccines: my mother, brother, daughter, nephew, and I, all reacted to one or more vaccines with vaccine encephalitis (screaming syndrome) and Asperger’s or autism. I had both arms paralyzed for several days after a tetanus booster when I was nineteen, brachial plexus neuropathy, which triggered multiple sclerosis.
It is an extremely interesting and complex topic, although everyone can understand the issues involved well enough to make a decision independent of ACIP reading the lengthy pharma list of vaccine recommendations out loud to them. There is no guaranteed positive outcome from any of the choices, but many ways to improve your chances.
It was a real 'slap to forehead' moment, when in the dark days of Covid 1984, I first heard Dr. McCullough asking: Why isn't there more focus on early treatment?? Why aren't major medical centers developing their own protocols? Are we not supposed to treat sick patients? It was the beginning of my awakening for which I will be eternally grateful.
There is evil in the world, and the good cannot hide under a rock, but rather confront it. Peace thru strength is not Trump's motto alone. It was Reagan's. If we withdraw, if we do not have weapons that demonstrate strength, then evil will fill the void. It is not as simple as focusing on health, kindness, etc. We must live in the real world. And the real world is filled with evil intent.
"we have made zero advances in overcoming our nature to fight each other ...When it comes to conflict resolution, mankind has learned nothing since the 8th century BC."

Nevertheless, Rummel's work provides a very basic reason why the preservation of American freedom in the face of the present concerted effort by Progressives to destroy it, is so important.
The fight is literally about preserving the Enlightenment.

hi John, just to be clear on a minor point: the famine horse is NOT LARGER, it is merely the closest in a perspective drawing. You no doubt know from you elementary education, that single point perspective requires all lines to go to a single point, even though they repreestne the same height or width. Thus the horses "appear" smaller but are in fact the same size as are the men.

Homogenization is also a problem with milk processing. I’m very grateful to have a raw dairy farm as a neighbor!
So-called "UHT" also obscures the fact that it's irradiated. There's nothing alive after UHT.
And, the science of exactly what effects UHT has on nutrients is at best in it's infancy....
And, I think it's deceptive to say that "pasteurization", & UHT are exactly the same thing....

This was a wonderful expose and the m interested in the book. I hope it shows how vaccines have produced NO benefit to society — plus, the very enemy they sought to destroy, viruses, are actually messengers that the body needs: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/why-disease-causing-viruses-are-pseudoscience
