Aha!!! We now know where John Leake gets his political opinion. Tucker Carlson. Who else do you know who has been spewing about ‘Christian Zionists’???? The veil has slipped.

Phil Davis's avatar

And Tucker is 100 percent correct. The question is, why are you kissing DC's ass? Is it because you believe Trump is some messiah? Neocons surround Trump. Israel's Netanyahu is the biggest. Why don't you pick up a gun and fight for Zionism? Show us your courage to stand by your convictions.

DBC's avatar

So Phil, what's your response, when the terrorist negotiator across the negotiating table, threatens they can build 11 nukes in a few weeks? From a regime that comfortably kills 20-30,000 of their own citizenry, for speaking their mind.

Should Trump be kissing Iran's ass?

Should you move to Iran? Seems you'd prefer Iranian terrorists, to the good old USA.

Phil Davis's avatar

Iraq has weapons of mass destruction! Remember that one? Again, nothing can be trusted from DC or Israel. Iran knows it can never win a kinetic war with the US. And nuclear activity against the old USA would end the Middle East in minutes.

Why can't you guys get outside of the propaganda? Iran wants nukes because Israel has them. And Netanyahu wants Iran destroyed. What would you do?

Iran is no Saint, but they are still a sovereign nation with lots of people. Zionism is real, Israel wants more land, and is using the US firepower they do not have. Trump's head is inside Netanyahu's ass. Why can't you see this?

Renee Devereaux, M.S.'s avatar

Thank you, Phil.....you appear to be one of the rare people who sees the propaganda and both sides of the situation. I'm in agreement!

DBC's avatar

The US/Israel alliance, is an intense partnership.

Maybe we'll get another ally or three in the ME when the dust settles... but for now, our only real ME ally seems to be Israel.

Do you hate Jews?

Do you hate Trump?

Do you want to lose to Iran... even though we've dropped them to their knees and we're in control. Yes, they're terrorists, many want 72 virgins when they die on their swords. Some of them still have rocket launchers. Russia and China bring materials and support to Iran.

Cut and run?

Be specific on "the propaganda" we're not seeing... or not.

Phil Davis's avatar

You've just used the propaganda. Small groups believe in 72 virgins, yet it's assigned to a whole nation. This is how bottom feeds in DC work. They use small truisms in small places and blow them up into large narratives.

Phil Davis's avatar

Dude, don't ever get trapped in a wet paper bag.

So what? Western leaders do deport themselves as superiors who will not countenance any reasonable or even rational discussions with those deemed inferior. Cursing, name-calling, threats of annihilation are the hallmarks of bullies, not of honorable and mature men and women. I believe peaceful and profitable coexistence is possible between all nations but only if both overt and covert operations to divide and destroy others is stopped. PS all covert ops, financial sanctions, blockades, etc. should be considered acts of war and "we" here in the West should not be engaging in any of them. The colonial mindset of exploitation and control needs to die. Or we can continue, and the supply of terrorists and extremists fighting back, will be endless. I'm willing to accept that this may be the goal, sad to say.

DBC's avatar

How'd loveable Jimmy Carter do with the animal terrorists?

Maha's avatar

How has the Iranian regime been subject to "colonialism and exploitation"? They took power, took hostages, threaten the USA and Israel on a regular basis, and run their country like an open air prison camp with Islamist sharia values. They have sunshine, oil and a relatively large piece of real estate.

They have built up weapons with the help of other destabilizing nations, and export terror to wherever their psychotic Mullahs instruct them.

Fatwas, hands chopped off, women raped and murdered for not wearing a head scarf, death for apostasy...what is not to condemn and be very wary of here?

At the very least these regimes need to sequestered, which forces whoever wish to not be part of it to be stuck. If they bluster and threaten, they are telling us their plans. Why should we just acquiesce as they come and run suicide missions on American citizens?

Daniel Wirt's avatar

Stupid, Jan. There is widespread recognition of the psychopathic religious extremism of the “Christian”Zionists. What Tucker’s input reinforces, however, is how massively politically wounded Trump is. So stew in your Trump Delusional/Dead-ender Syndrome.

DBC's avatar

Tucker is the wounded one. Trump doesn't give two shits, what (stupid) people like you burp out. The more the merrier for him.

There's only one outcome; Iran will not have nuclear capabilities. They've proved their evil, too many times. Tucker, Leake and people like you, have lost your marbles. You have zero alt courses of action.

All the other shit, is just day dreaming noise... with an agenda.

Clausewitz was correct in his writings and was a very effective statesman. Metternich was cut from the same broadcloth, giving Europe 100 years of fabulous wealth, peace, and scientific advancement, unprecedented in the history of mankind. But a number of the aristocracy, bureaucrats, and greedy plutocrats wanted war to advance their selfish interests and they gave us WW1, WW2, and the twin mass murderers of hundreds of millions, national socialism and communism. Very similar to many who rule today in a number of countries, looking to expand their ideologies and colonize others in the name of the proletariat, Allah, or their ethnic group.

Phil Davis's avatar

Your post today is very true. Many long-time observers have commented on the loss of peacemakers worldwide. There are very, very few. Putin is on the list of those few; that's how crazy the West has become. The Neocons, the war lovers, regime-changing parasites are in control of DC. They only know military power. As Madeleine Albright once stated - why have the most powerful military if you can't use it. - It's shoot first, ask questions later.

"Now, in the latest war against Iran, we hear Christian Zionist fanatics— in the grip of eschatological fantasies—proclaiming that we cannot negotiate with the Iranians because they are Islamic religious fanatics"

They are fanatics John. They will die for their beliefs before they change. Because in causing massive global chaos they believe this will hasten their Mahdi (Messiah) to destroy all the infidels. They are not afraid of death but in their belief, their own death brings them great pleasures and eternal rewards by allah. This has nothing to do with Israel or Christian Zionism, but this is Shia Islam. Part of your statement is incorrect in seeking to blame Christians and Israel for this war.

Phil Davis's avatar

Absolutely, I've mentioned this several times, so forgive the redundancy. Netenyaho has stated in speeches that he views the account of the Amalekites, as in Moses' day, as the Iranians today. In the Bible book of Samuel, God told King Saul through the prophet Samuel to annihilate the Amalekites; every child, every farm animal was to be incinerated because of what they did to the Israelites after leaving Egypt.

Netenyaho says he too will act. This is religious insanity. The regime change needs to happen in Israel. Iran is no Saint, but their desire for nukes is because of Israel. Same as Pakistan and India. Mutual assured destruction theory. Israel won't allow that natural desire. The propaganda against Iran has reached WMD lies.

ArnoldF's avatar

Would like to see his quote in context--post link. the scriptural command was only good for one play by King Saul, due to a local event of the Amelekites behaviour during the exodus out of Egypt. Its not cart blanche approval for war for today. That said, Iranian leadership in its current form is an existential threat to Israel, the entire middle east nations (as they now see) and to Europe and to the United States. Not sure Netenyaho or President Trump needs a scriptural reference to justify the removal of this regime--they have no intention of changing their blood lust and hatred of both the USA and Israel and other Islamic nations that disagree with them.

Phil Davis's avatar

Go look at Netanyahu's speeches. He wants the complete removal of Iran. Think I'm wrong. Go look at Gaza now, there's nothing left. That's his image of Iran. You guys are stuck inside Netanyahu's and Trump's ass. You can't see the truth of what Zionism is; it's the same as the Manifest Destiny of the 19th and 20th centuries.

DBC's avatar

John "..it is essential for a rational government to direct the other elements to prevent war from devolving into senseless destruction..." That's a pretty good non-sequitur argument John.

I'd say, this is what Trump is doing. He might have to do more in a few weeks. HOW does diplomacy work, when the guy across the table threatens they can have 11 nukes in a short period of time? First fucking day of negotiations -- you suggest they're trustworthy? More trustworthy than your own POTUS?

Is Iran a regime that needs/requires physical threat, as a basis for real negotiations? We've pounded on over 10,000 of their targets.... and avoided innocents where they weren't used as human shields, have avoided taking out ALL of their power supply, bridges, water plants, Kharg Island oil processing infrastructure not targeted, etc. I'd say, we're holding all the chips -- including the Strait...

Anti American is a rot worm... You're pov's have symptoms of rot disease. Why is that?

According to Iranians I listen to (in exile, in touch with those inside) the vast majority of them ... Persians! ... despise the 47 year old "Islamic Republic" and its authoritarian overlords.

Trump's conflict is primarily aimed to help free the Iranian people from the Shia tyrants and restore Iran to its people. That is, also, to eliminate the main sponsors of terrorism in the region, and create some stability in the Middle East.

Will it work? Maybe. Is it pointless or just about projecting American an power? No.

So who do you think wants to keep the wars going? I don't believe it is Trump. I believe he wants to get along with our "adversaries" as much as is reasonable and co-exist in a multipolar world.

Trump is surrounded by Neocons, especially Netenyaho.

Hilarious. John, you mention the Comanche--the derivation of that name coming from enemy or "wants to fight me all the time". This is apropos of their historic nature for warfare, conquest and slavery/vassal status of all who they forced into submission. As you also note, their name, like almost all tribal names means "The People". What these tribes really mean is they are people and all others are not.

An interesting historical note; the Comanche, thanks to their adoption of the horse and their skills at horse mounted warfare, harried the fierce APACHE so badly that the Apache begged the Spanish garrison in Santa Fe, who they had been warring with, to protect them. It did them no good. The Comanche made pincushions of the Spanish, firing 20 arrows a minute during their charges on troops that fired once and had to reload.

Why is this hilarious? The behavior of the Comanche and the Islamists in Iran have parallels a historian like you should find obvious. Thankfully, the Islamists have had a far shorter run than the Comanche, but their ending will still come as shock to the Islamists, just as it did to the Comanche.

Finally, please stop with the whining about Zionists, Jewish, Christian, or other. Zionism is the desire for Jews to have a homeland after 2000 years of brutal treatment at the hands of the Catholics, the Johnny-come-lately Muslims, Martin Luther and his associates, and the Communists and Nazis. Their homeland needs defending, from later day Comanches.

A prime example of the brain damage caused by TDS, in this case manifested by either being asleep or simply ignorant of the 47 years spent with various diplomatic efforts to get Iran to back off its stated intent to destroy the US, Israel and the Jews.

Mr. Leake's delirium is becoming tiresome.
