USAID through its extensive contacts helped create and fund the Russiagate fiasco. Basically-- and there's obviously a lot more coming in the next few weeks-- USAID was funding treason.

I expect a torrent of similar revelations as DOGE pulls the lid off pandora's box. It is vital the information goes mainstream though, not simply circulating among those skeptical all along.

Well, it will never circulate from the NYT, WAPO, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, USAToday, Reuters, AP, et al. Except in a dream world. Fortunately, the window that encompasses what the mainstream media is, has shifted enough that quite a few will see it. Unfortunately, those who still rely on the above sources religiously believe what their "thought leaders" say. Everybody else is a racist white supremacist, you know. So there will continue to be a large, intransigent segment of morons.

If people smoke today, they can't deny it is harmful. So, if a certain segment chooses to get (if they continue to be marketed) boosters, so be it, but they won't be able to deny the harms. You are right, there is enough of a shift away from NYT etc...to allow the message to disseminate on alternate media routes. The propaganda media will lose ultimately, no one to blame only themselves for selling out for engaging in conflicts of interest. The supplement market is huge and lucrative, wish this industry could advertise in lieu of pharma, it would change the trajectory of mainstream news.

SteelJ's avatar

Supplement market is huge, but tiny compared to pharma. They can't sell supplements for hundreds or thousands of dollars, since they aren't paid for by third parties.

Expand full comment
Rita Skeeter's avatar

Right, they can't sell for the high prices of drugs, but they can sell volume. I spend a lot on supplements, many do.

Expand full comment
SteelJ's avatar

We can hope. But I'm pretty sure if you do the math, the relative financial power of the two segments isn't close.

Quick internet search:

Global pharma market - > 1.6 trillion USD

https://www.statista.com/statistics/263102/pharmaceutical-market-worldwide-revenue-since-2001/

Global supplement market -> 86 billion USD

https://www.fortunebusinessinsights.com/dietary-supplements-market-102082

Both numbers are for 2023

1.6 trillion / 86 billion = the pharma market is 18.6 times the size of supplements

Right, but supplements are not marketed the way pharma products are either on the media or by the medical system. That could change.

Spot on. The legacy outlets are being supplanted on the left through the same mechanisms that have allowed rational discourse coming from the right and center. Unfortunately, from what I see, these left side thought leaders are the same unquestioning people who likely have NYT accounts and view any conservative voice with suspicion. Ergo, the Dems who haven't been able to step back from the abyss of caricatured "news" stories will continue to believe that their side is just out to help the downtrodden and the rest of us are assho%es; out with the Times and in with Dem intellectual voices. Nowhere in that circular thinking is there room for seeing the forest for the trees - profound levels of budget waste, corruption, smear campaigns, censorship, lawfare, and more through an illegal collusion of government, NGOs and corporations. Why care about that when we can clutch pearls at the Dept of Education being threatened. Never forget the Congressman (Raskin?) who said that we have 8th graders who can't read! What will we do without the DoE??? My Lord, such is the level of unintended irony at work in the Dem party that this quote had made the rounds in DEFENSE of the agency. Quelle domage.

JFK started USAID with the Noble Intentions of a Good and Generous man trying to make the world a Better place. Clearly under Clinton, Obama and Biden it was Theft by Deception. How about under W Bush and Trump? Probably not too much better.

Go back further from LBJ to HB Bush and likely the same Theft by Deception.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT OUR MONEY BACK FROM AT LEAST the year 2000 from those who did Theft by Deception. Probably a few Trillion $$$'s! Prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. It won't happen except for maybe a few dogs they throw to the wolf's for show because they are likely all in on it. The Left/Right Theatre while they fleece America and Destroy America.

This latest revelation is so ironic. Those subscribers to the NYT who didn’t live in NY, enjoyed a reputation of being educated intellectuals. The rest of us read local news (or worse, the National Enquirer!), but at least we knew we were reading rags, while all along they were being brainwashed by the CIA. LOL LOL

If you consider the lies NYTimes prints are swallowed as credible by its smugnorant credentialed class the NYT is worse than the Enquirer who have some skepticism. Not one story of importance since 9-11 has been honestly reported by NYT so yes the reputations are different but volume of %$#@ about equal sans skeptics.

I liked that word too. The NYTimes is definitely a dishonest rag, but to put the Nat'l. Enquirer in the same sentence is ... well ... ridiculous. But the MAGA crowd likes the Nat'l. Enquirer because the publisher, a money grubbing jerk if there ever was one, and a butt kisser too, helped Trymp buy off the sluts he screwed while he was married to his last bimbo.

Trymp betrays his wives, his families, his girlfriends, his business associates, his subcontractors -- painters, carpenters and rug installers among them -- and his voters. You'll learn.

I didn’t say it was in the same category AT ALL!!

Readers of NYT were typically considered an intellectual cut above the average hayseeds who read the local rags. But there is definitely a very delicious irony to be savored in revelations about the how the CIA has used media.

“Smugnorant” I love it. LOL LOL

NYT aligns with all of the left's media machine organizations which have engaged in widespread censorship, propaganda, coverups, and election interference, etc. that have characterized the fall of a once treasured resource; a free press. We are grateful beyond words that places like Substack, independent podcasts, X formerly twitter, Truth Social, Rumble, Locals, Bitchute, others sprang up to provide a dissenting voice and reveal actual truths and facts in a time of calculated deliberate dumbing down of the US population into a subservient totalitarianism, under the guise of social justice, neo-Marxism, DEA, Woke, Obama and Biden, etc. We have a real opportunity now to expose, eject, and eliminate all abuses of government spending including all waste, fraud, extortion, corruption, and criminal abuse of our system of Government. MAGA and DOGE at full speed ahead is our ticket out of this cesspool into the light where Americans can enjoy prosperity, peace, and opportunity for all now and future generations.

Seems USAID gave nearly $25 MILLION to the Soros funded "Tides Center" which in turn funneled millions to BLM in 2020.

Who funds BLM (and quite likely Antifa)? YOU DO!!

The criminal NYT is nothing but a lying rag for which taxpayers pay the salaries of liars! They, BBC, CBC, WSJ, Google, Fbook, Reuters, AP, and other falsely called "Trusted News Networks" stole taxpayer cash to publish disinformation that killed millions world-wide with their fake news. They are the liars, along with the FDA (Frankenstein Doctor's Association) who published 100% lies that murdered millions by pushing big pharma's fake vax and blocking use of drugs that worked. In short, they were all paid to commit mass murder! All this and more can be read in Liz Woodworth's Canary Vol 1 chapter.

Who actually runs the NYT?

Who ran them when they shilled for Stalin?

Who ran them when they lied massively about the 2020 “selection”?

Who runs them today when they say bitter is sweet and good is evil?

Whoever this godless, unknown cluster is…they are in GOOD STANDING with Satan.

USAID funded sterilization camps in India

They have participated in atrocities and

‘Population control’ …

The report is shocking

Where woman are given 6 rupes to surrender their fertility with no informed consent

Totally predatory behavior of the poor and illiterate- who have no idea what they’re agreeing to

Sponsored by USAID

But of course it’s now buried by the tech censors and can’t be found - if anyone can find a hot link- please post

Investigation of Sterilization Camp Funding—India

By Celeste McGovern

Produced by the Population Research Institute -USAID Funding of Sterilization Camps in India

I only have a pdf- which I don’t know if I can post or not

Here’s a kind of summary of the report

Rajeev Shah, the Administrator of USAID's $22 billion annual budget, for instance, spent years in leadership positions at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation before he launched his government career.
