I don't trust government. BC has over 800 fires burning of which over 50% are admitted to being human caused. I think the number is likely closer to 80%. My thoughts is that it is all about resources: conflict with Iran to control their oil and conflict with Russia to control their banking. I'm sure both countries would fight to the death, as I would for my own country, and it will destroy the world for the greed of Trump and Rothschild.

Is it because we see many foreigners as less than human? Are these actions/methods seen as under the umbrella of “self-defense” in an overly broad or contorted way? In that context are all actions (as horrible as they maybe) are on the table? There certainly is some kind of compartmentalization going on in the mind of these people. Having high moral standards close to home and almost no standards abroad because it is “self-defense”.

Vaccinosis is a real issue, unless you believe the "it's time for your dog's shots" BS. So by 2019, when I started to read about the outbreak in China, I'd been educated and I'd reasoned by extension that doctors, health insurance, vaccines, anti-flu shots were all part of a massive fraud.
By 2020, after some appalling personal experiences with them and following some deep introspection, I'd worked out that the Israelis were not the poor, besieged victims that we'd been led to believe. And as for war, any and all war - "leave me out of it." Anti-War is now a right wing, off-the-plantation, freedom-loving thing. Yes, I love our flag, and I'll defend it - but I'll not follow it into war.
Two reasons people who seem otherwise solid become war cheerleaders.
1. They're stupid. Don't discount this. Most people are relatively stupid. I'm not talking about education, i'm talking about the ability to think. To ask questions has all but been erased in the last 150 years. Just look at any education curriculum, and the first thing you notice is that asking questions is discouraged. This not only applies to official education, but religion, finance and business, and ethics. Why do we do it that way? Shut up, we've always done it that way. This also provides the "obedient" a moral superiority. They're in the majority by default. Those who ask questions are labeled troublemakers. Of course it goes without saying, these are the very same people who are so easily indoctrinated to parrot whatever narrative is popular in their preferred group.
2. They're cowards and being able to cheer on a war that they're clearly never going to fight in or risk danger gives them a vicarious rush of bravado.
Consider: you're a CEO. Do you trust your corporation's operations arm to be 100% truthful/accurate about completion status of a major project? Do you trust your CFO regarding the finanicials to be reported to the street?
Do you have different levels of trust? Trust in accuracy, trust in stovepipe's hierarchical veracity? Why?
Cognitive dissonance is the best way to describe this: trusting an institution in one regard, but not in others.
