Reality (as I see it): Republicans most definitely are not perfect...on any given day, I am absolutely frustrated, disheartened, and/or enraged by the current state of some things during this 2nd Trump administration.
Say what you will about President Trump, (whom I voted for in '16, '20 & '24), but I for one will never vote for the Democrat party again (I voted for Bill Clinton when I was 18 years old in 1996).

My husband and his family legally immigrated to the USA from an authoritarian country (they were Christians in an Muslim-majority Arab country) in 1970 when my husband was 10 years old. And they happily did what all immigrants were expected to do at that time (they did not ask for or receive any public assistance/welfare and they assimilated). He and his family learned to read/write and speak English and they were proud to become naturalized American citizens. My husband (and I) agree that right now even legal immigration needs to be cut/curtailed.

I don't know who you are talking to when you say people think the economy is "poor". Yes, gas costs more, but eggs are back to $1.50 a dozen. Anyone can buy oil company stock and share in those profits. It could be better, but all things considered, life is so much better now than it was in 2022. Human nature is selfish and that leads to covetousness, which in turn leads to warring behavior. We all need to pray for our country.

I think on this date, I'm better off with the orange man in the Whitehouse then if it were cackles occupying that seat.
But with Trump's negative efficacy, I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to say the same thing in 2-4 years. Very not sure.
I also think Trump is the most corrupt thing to ever occupy that position in American history. If not, there are maybe a half a handful of people who could beat him.
