GROK says that GOF Research is funded at, or has a unique capability to be funded at universities in the following 10 states.
WISCONSIN, MASSACHUSETTS, MARYLAND, PENNSYLVANIA, NORTH CAROLINA, WASHINGTON,
GEORGIA, WASHINGTON STATE, TEXAS, AND MICHIGAN.
DO YOU LIVE IN ONE OF THESE 10 STATES? Concerned people who live in one of these 10 states can contact their State Representatives and Senators, urging they support DC and Sec. RFK, Jr. in removing funding for all GOF research from their universities.
1. The University of Wisconsin at Madison
(Virologist Yoshihiro Kawaoka has conducted influential GOF research on influenza viruses, particularly H5N1, to study transmissibility in mammals.)
2. Boston University
(controversial study involving a hybrid SARS-CoV-2 strain with an 80% mortality rate in mice.)
3. Johns Hopkins University
(TB research by Richard Chaisson and virology studies by Andrew Pekosz on influenza, COVID-19, dengue, Zika, and other viruses. Some of their work was suspended in 2025.)
4. The University of Pittsburgh
(JoAnne Flynn, a tuberculosis (TB) researcher, had a grant suspended in 2025 by the NIH due to concerns over GOF research. Her work involved creating antibiotic-resistant mutants of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Mtb.),
5. The UNC Chapel Hill
(A 2015 study co-authored by Ralph Baric involved creating a chimeric SARS-like virus with a bat coronavirus spike protein.)
6. The University of Washington
(A global leader in infectious disease research, with its Department of Global Health and Center for Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases studying pathogens like influenza, Ebola, and SARS-CoV-2. Researchers like Michael Katze (now retired) have worked on influenza transmissibility, which could overlap with GOF.)
7. Emory University
Emory operates Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratories, suitable for studying high-risk pathogens like influenza, coronaviruses, and tuberculosis, which are often associated with GOF research.
8. The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston
UTMB hosts the Galveston National Laboratory, one of the few BSL-4 facilities in the U.S., capable of handling the most dangerous pathogens (e.g., Ebola, Nipah virus). Its researchers, like James LeDuc (former director), have studied high-risk pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2 and influenza, with experiments that could include GOF to assess pandemic potential.
9. University of Michigan Ann Arbor
(Michigan’s School of Public Health and Medical School conduct extensive research on infectious diseases, including influenza and coronaviruses. Its Center for Respiratory Virus Research and the BSL-3 labs support studies that could involve GOF, such as modifying viruses to study immune responses), and
10. Duke University Durham,
(Duke has a strong infectious disease program. Its Duke Human Vaccine Institute and Global Health Institute study pathogens like influenza, dengue, and coronaviruses, with potential GOF applications to develop vaccines.)
You can check the "NIH RePORTER" at (https://reporter.nih.gov/) for grant details of these universities.
I'm remembering that sometime within the last several months, a bio-lab (I think at a university?) was investigated and shuttered after a "lover's spat" broke out and one party contaminated the other party's person with some type of pathogen. There are just too many unnecessary risks associated with the labs, imo.
I read your substack earlier, Dr. Stillwagon, & I could not agree more. I have had these concerns since I first learned of this new bio-lab being created. It seems as if all caution has been tossed to the wind & common sense has gone right out the window. Their rationale makes no sense whatsoever & they are putting everyone's health & lives in grave danger.
It sure would settle things, if all labs had their funding cut! They are not only deadly, they are costly and taxpayers should not have to contribute a cent to them. Why would we even need labs , if people knew that health stems from eating as their ancestors did for eons of time...unprocessed food. The modern world with all its chemicals is the problem...it has destroyed the soil, plants, trees, and life. People are finding it hard to find decent food, which is the common denominator in order to be healthy.
THANK YOU, Dr. McCullough, for COURAGEOUSLY, SACRIFICIALLY DECLARING:
1. The COVID-19 shots need to be completely removed from the market IMMEDIATELY.
2. The CDC's Childhood Vaccine Schedule (approximately 72 doses by 18 years old) has NOT been tested for safety AND is very likely causing ADD, ADHD and Autism for many Children.
3. Gain of function research needs to STOP IMMEDIATELY.
This is an off-topic question. I recently became aware that dental anesthesia contains graphene oxide. This is not good. Is there a protocol to undo the affects of injected graphene oxide ? Nattokinaisse ?
Update: I did a little research and it seems the Cook-Waite lidocaine is graphene oxide free. The Dentist I go to uses 'Henry Schein' lidocaine. Strangely, the ampule that houses the lidocaine looks the same for both companies. Henry Schein even sells Cook-Waite. So I called them and found out that they are the same. Just different packaging ! So I'm good with my local dentist. Good luck following up with your dentists...
Gain of Function (GOF) is a term we should not fall into their trap and use - or we are falling into their playbook to make something so deadly and dangerous (and even of evil intent) sound benign and even a a good and positive thing. GOF really means the opposite of what it implies and is a very fraudulent term.
Instead let us call it for what it really is and take control of the propaganda being inflicted on us and the the world and label it properly - so that actual truth on it will be readily apparent to all. Many of our fellow humans are easily fooled and they need our help in waking them up. Getting the right terminology is one step toward enlightening the many who are asleep in the world.
I suggest something like Gain of Lethality (GOL) or Gain of Kill (GOK) - these are more accurate and appropriate - any other suggestions are welcomed!
These labs should not exist. Taxpayers should not have to pay for sick experiments on animals, which are totally unnecessary. Our medical system has lowered the health of every recipient. Studying disease has not made humans healthier. Why didn’t the medical profession follow the teachings of Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine? He said, “Let Food be Your Medicine; and Medicine be Your Food.” He also advised a healthy lifestyle…and his advice brought about cures. Labs are created for the financial benefit of the recipients of the grants. Taxpayers should not have to support these labs.
It has been my experience working in bio safety, occupational health with academics that they are very cavalier with EHS protocols and their arrogance in response to these protocols. It does scare me if these type of academics are working in BL3 and 4 labs.
Too many rogue “scientists.” Monitor where their funding is coming from. Scrutinize U. of Michigan and U. of North Carolina.

I agree, and here's an example of what's going on with bat research at the University of Colorado:

Enzymes cut proteins. Biology doesn't have any way of dealing with graphene or graphene oxide. We need to just stop making it.
Excellent question Richie, which really needs a good answer to!

Thanks for that Richie.
