Reviewing my April 18, 2025 essay on why the US government’s “regime change” wars in the Middle East always fail to yield a constructive end for “We the People.”
I am sorry, but I have to keep telling you that you will be proven wrong about this. The opposite will be proven true. President Trump is dismantling the "forever war" regime that has plagued the Middle East and the United States for many generations.

Those focused on Trump and perceived failure are overlooking a far more significant historic moment. This misunderstanding stems from three reasons, and you must consider them together to overcome a narrow perspective. First, you won't recognize this historic moment if you treat Islam the same way you would a benevolent religion, merely because it is labelled as a religion. Second, you may fail to grasp the significance of the moment if you do not acknowledge that thought shapes reality. I like a lot of your work, but when it comes to the dustup with Iran your approach to passing on your suppositions tells me you're a somewhat fear filled fellow who doesn't like Trump and seeks widespread support from others who may be swayed by your rather eloquent ability to write alone.
Something happened to Trump between Trump 1.0 and Trump 2.0. Perhaps blackmail. Perhaps threats of assassination. All he had to do is follow through on most of his 2024 stump speech promises and he would have been the best Pres in recent memory.
He was installed for this very reason. It was even foretold in a series of childrens books from the 1800's. He'll destoey the dollar and be the last president as the countey collapses. That's why bessent is there, it's what he does.
I agree with your thesis about wars. Trump however always differentiated between Iraq and Iran. He thought the Iraq war was a big mistake, but thought Iran should be attacked. I am basically a pacifist so I don’t agree with initiating any overseas wars.

Iran knows they can affect both Israeli and American elections this fall. They know that high fuel prices will flip the House to Democrats, who will start impeachment proceedings. I just listened to some idiot on Tucker Carlson today who said, Persia has not been conquered, historically. Can someone tell him Alexander, the Mongols and the Arab Muslim Conquest, the Seljuk Turks, the 1953 usurp of Mosaddegh, and the 1979 usurp of the Shah disqualifies this statement as anywhere close to accurate. So, Iran is not Afghanistan. Can we please get our Middle Eastern history on the right foot.

He has around him many of the same neo-cons that drug us into the First Israeli War in the early 2000's, so they have now manipulated him into launching the Second Israeli War this past February. Netanyahu was the one who conned both Bush and Trump to eliminate Israel's main enemies, Iraq and Iran, so Netanyahu's Great Israel project could be realized. He did so with lies and prevarications meant appeal to Bush's and Trump's weak points: Bush, stupidity, and Trump, ego.
