I would love to see a learned historical analysis of how long “Of the people, By the people and For the People” actually lasted. My opinion is it lasted roughly 2 years, from 1787 to 1789. By 1790 the newly formed US government had split into 2 parties, which was the beginning of the end of representative government. The founders warned against the formation of parties, but like weeds in a fresh lawn, it didn’t take long for them to spring up. They grew until the entire lawn was choked by them.
What we were supposed to be for the people by the people. You’re telling me that the Constitution said we have the right to Liberty, Life, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Prologue to the Gospel of John serves to dispel this error. As you may recall, the prologue serves as a new Genesis, a superseding Genesis, "In the beginning was the Word..." This NT theology predates and supersedes the OT. The Trinity existed prior to the OT.
The Incarnation and Resurrection tapped into truths, in a theological reality that was in place long before the OT. The NT thus is not contingent upon the OT. This assertion is an error of later theology that failed to adhere to Christian theology. A later theology that conflates OT views with the NT.
Jesus in his teachings and in the trial with the Sadducees made known NT theology that eclipsed and preceded the OT.
If you study early Christian theology, say Origen and Augustine, you find it is based on a marriage of the Gospel of John and Idealism. All creation is the Mind of God. These ideas go well beyond the OT theology.
OT thought is interesting in a cultural manner. It tells an interesting story of a people and their faith, Judaism. It tells an interesting story of the cultural environment at the time the eternal and transcendent broke through in the form of the Incarnation and Resurrection. From a spiritual and theological view, that put the OT off the table.
Hope this makes enough sense to foster reflection.

Hey that is absolutely fantastic and I'm so happy for you. I homeschooled my son from 1992 to 2006 and the first time he ever stepped foot in a "brick and mortar" school was Jr College. Then a year later he beat out a bunch of people for a FULL scholarship to TCU. As you can tell, I DESPISE public schools. I hate them with a passion. First of all, they are NOT free market. I absolutely agree with shutting down schools. They teach our children how to follow whatever the rules are and they stifle our children’s ability to think for themselves. Remember the Y2K problem? They had to bring back the old people to fix this problem. Why because we didn’t have free thinking people. Schools have beaten our children to be dumb. Look at just dumbed down our schools in just 25 years. We have thrown away our best teachers and elders by putting them into nursing homes. The American household use to be made up of our grandparents, their children and their grandchildren. We gained so much knowledge from our elders. It’s now lost because the children of their grandparents are just shoved away out of sight and their children consider them as expendable.
I was very lucky to have my grandparents living with me and my mother. I listened to all the conversations. My grandparents had a rule for their children and me their grandchildren. We all sat down at dinner time and were able to ask any questions (even about sex) and they provided an honest answer. I was treated as an adult even though I was very young. I soaked up all their history about where they came from (sorry all were born in America) where my ancestors came from and who they were. Just an example about my ancestors. I’m related to Sitting Bull and Custer. The first family of Virginia and so many other great figures of the past. My great grandfather loaned money to the Wright brothers and he had the first patent for the elevator. My ancestors fought on both sides of the Civil War. I have the discharge papers from both. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think either side is good.
It’s a shame that many people don’t know where they actually came from and know the truth about their ancestors. It’s been lost by throwing out our elders. This is just one problem in America today. The damages are too severe. And to fix them we will have to adopt an entirely different approach, similar to that of the native families, living under matriarchal societies, together as grandparents, parents and children. I actually hope war does come and we win back the original Constitution. It was intended to just be an outline for that time. They left room for amendments that have not been passed. I understand your point. Government by men always ends in corruption. You can argue that government or no government, it won’t end well, because the problem at its root is not one of organization or nationhood. It is corruption in the heart of Man. Men will fight for power whether it is “given” to them or not. That frontier would have been a bloody frontier, perhaps even more bloody than it was under a government.

I'm actually attending two Zenith Aircraft workshops in 2026 to get prepaired to build a "build it yourself" Zenith STOL CH 750 super duty aircraft. I remember as a child when the schools became integrated. The look on the faces of the (sorry) black children on those buses were filled with terror. Not to say that every child has the right to receive a good education, but why did they have to leave their neighborhoods where they felt safe. My point is why weren’t there neighborhoods brought up to be the same as white neighborhoods. Not to say that I even back then had ever been to their neighborhoods. I didn’t know anything about their neighborhoods. I just find it curious how so many neighborhoods now are filled with crime, homeless people, and gangs. I don’t think that integration was needed. I think the neighborhoods should have been built better with more humanity and more diversity back then. Not the old bad side of the track BS. The problem even back then having private schools that were for the rich and they excluded every race but the rich white children. Maybe I’m wrong because I can see now that even when I was a child those elite schools were already built and funded by the rich.

Having lived in London and in Tokyo I appreciated their cultures and adapted mine. But I saw the contrast between those cultures and assert the American culture was preferable. Still we can appreciate the differences to better understand others. In the US today we tolerate foreign cultures more so than other nations. Sadly there are many of us that think some foreign cultures to be better in some ways. Trying to impose those notions on us creates friction. Still they won’t be moved much from false beliefs. Sad.

USA has never been an "imperial power" like Britain, when it ruled the British Empire, or Italy when it ruled the Roman Empire. Rather USA has been a great power with global reach and influence. I often wondered what might have happened to us here in Australia had not America been brought into WW2 by Pearl Harbour. I would love to see a learned historical analysis of how long “Of the people, By the people and For the People” actually lasted. My opinion is it lasted roughly 2 years, from 1787 to 1789. By 1790 the newly formed US government had split into 2 parties, which was the beginning of the end of representative government. The founders warned against the formation of parties, but like weeds in a fresh lawn, it didn’t take long for them to spring up. They grew until the entire lawn was choked by them.

The Prologue to the Gospel of John serves to dispel this error. As you may recall, the prologue serves as a new Genesis, a superseding Genesis, "In the beginning was the Word..." This NT theology predates and supersedes the OT. The Trinity existed prior to the OT.
The Incarnation and Resurrection tapped into truths, in a theological reality that was in place long before the OT. The NT thus is not contingent upon the OT. This assertion is an error of later theology that failed to adhere to Christian theology. A later theology that conflates OT views with the NT.
Jesus in his teachings and in the trial with the Sadducees made known NT theology that eclipsed and preceded the OT.
If you study early Christian theology, say Origen and Augustine, you find it is based on a marriage of the Gospel of John and Idealism. All creation is the Mind of God. These ideas go well beyond the OT theology.
OT thought is interesting in a cultural manner. It tells an interesting story of a people and their faith, Judaism. It tells an interesting story of the cultural environment at the time the eternal and transcendent broke through in the form of the Incarnation and Resurrection. From a spiritual and theological view, that put the OT off the table.

I absolutely agree with shutting down schools. They teach our children how to follow whatever the rules are and they stifle our children’s ability to think for themselves. Remember the Y2K problem? They had to bring back the old people to fix this problem. Why because we didn’t have free thinking people. Schools have beaten our children to be dumb. Look at just dumbed down our schools in just 25 years. We have thrown away our best teachers and elders by putting them into nursing homes. The American household use to be made up of our grandparents, their children and their grandchildren. We gained so much knowledge from our elders. It’s now lost because the children of their grandparents are just shoved away out of sight and their children consider them as expendable.
I was very lucky to have my grandparents living with me and my mother. I listened to all the conversations. My grandparents had a rule for their children and me their grandchildren. We all sat down at dinner time and were able to ask any questions (even about sex) and they provided an honest answer. I was treated as an adult even though I was very young. I soaked up all their history about where they came from (sorry all were born in America) where my ancestors came from and who they were. Just an example about my ancestors. I’m related to Sitting Bull and Custer. The first family of Virginia and so many other great figures of the past. My great grandfather loaned money to the Wright brothers and he had the first patent for the elevator. My ancestors fought on both sides of the Civil War. I have the discharge papers from both. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think either side is good.
It’s a shame that many people don’t know where they actually came from and know the truth about their ancestors. It’s been lost by throwing out our elders. This is just one problem in America today. I understand your point. Government by men always ends in corruption. You can argue that government or no government, it won’t end well, because the problem at its root is not one of organization or nationhood. It is corruption in the heart of Man. I understand your point. My great grandfather loaned the Wright Brothers money for the invention of the airplane. We wouldn’t have them now. Just like the telegraph or telephone. I don’t know if they should have been invented or not. I'm actually attending two Zenith Aircraft workshops in 2026 to get prepaired to build a "build it yourself" Zenith STOL CH 750 super duty aircraft. I remember as a child when the schools became integrated. The look on the faces of the (sorry) black children on those buses were filled with terror. Not to say that every child has the right to receive a good education, but why did they have to leave their neighborhoods where they felt safe. My point is why weren’t there neighborhoods brought up to be the same as white neighborhoods. Not to say that I even back then had ever been to their neighborhoods. I didn’t know anything about their neighborhoods. I just find it curious how so many neighborhoods now are filled with crime, homeless people, and gangs. I don’t think that integration was needed. I think the neighborhoods should have been built better with more humanity and more diversity back then. Not the old bad side of the track BS. The problem even back then having private schools that were for the rich and they excluded every race but the rich white children. Maybe I’m wrong because I can see now that even when I was a child those elite schools were already built and funded by the rich.

Having lived in London and in Tokyo I appreciated their cultures and adapted mine. But I saw the contrast between those cultures and assert the American culture was preferable. Still we can appreciate the differences to better understand others. In the US today we tolerate foreign cultures more so than other nations. Sadly there are many of us that think some foreign cultures to be better in some ways. Trying to impose those notions on us creates friction. Still they won’t be moved much from false beliefs. Sad.
The partisan divide is much more an issue. Tolerance has been a feature of American culture creating a social nation of unity. Some of us have lost that tolerance thanks to our corrupt politicians.
USA has never been an "imperial power" like Britain, when it ruled the British Empire, or Italy when it ruled the Roman Empire. Rather USA has been a great power with global reach and influence. I often wondered what might have happened to us here in Australia had not America been brought into WW2 by Pearl Harbour. We were part of the old British Empire, but Britain abandonned us to our fate, along with its dominions in the Far East. I think the problem today with American power is not an imperial role or even imperial ambition. Rather it is poor foreign policy and the readiness with which corrupt influences - notably the military-industrial complex - result in bad decisions.
